The previous owner had used unlicensed contractors to do some really quick work right before the sale and as a result basically all of our fixtures needed some sort of maintenance. We had a great experience with Rugged Plumbing. Initially, our tenants called them because their drains were backing up. (A persistent problem in this house for years). They assessed the situation and suggested some repair work. Once they got into the pipes, they saw that the work needed was much more costly and expensive. ( This was not a big surprise to us as the sewer issues had been addressed before with band-aid patch jobs) They came the next day and completed some very extensive sewer work. Ricardo and team was fantastic. For years, my performance level stove never got as hot as the listed specs. Flames were always low and sometimes the gas wouldn't supply enough to even light the stove. Ricardo came out to assess the issue. After going into the crawl space under the home and pulling the stove out, he diagnosed the gas regulator on the stove was inverted and not installed properly. He quickly replaced the regulator and the stove is operating brand new like it should've from the start. He was able to get to it the same day but unfortunately we ran into some unexpected issues and he had to order an out dated part for my shower. He informed me of the time frame which was reasonable. It's surprisingly hard to find a great plumber in this town. But here they are. Ricardo and his team are fantastic. Had an issue with plumbing on Saturday late afternoon, he was there within a couple hours. Quickly diagnosed the problem and even offered to stay into evening to fix. Wasn't calamitous so we pushed to Monday, but the willingness to work into the evening on Ricardo's part was exceptional. And there wasn't going to be some after hours, weekend upcharge. In fact, one of the best things about him is that he's not trying to sell you anything. Comes, diagnoses, gives you the options and costs, and lets you decide how to proceed. They came back Monday and did a major change out of my pipes under the house, finished hours earlier than scheduled. As they were finishing I asked if they could do a couple other things, but said I had to leave in a bit. So they pushed their lunch to accommodate my schedule. I had to replace 2 facets in the bathroom, but I also found out my stop valves were leaking, so he replaced those as well. He really knows what he is doing. He also said he can do a whole bathroom remodel and get permits, even removing the tub and moving the shower and some walls! He also gave us recommendations on replacing our shower facet and unit.
