They have the best cheeseburger I've ever tasted! The staff are cool and easy going. I like the outside tables. It's quiet and lovely place.

My experience was terrible! The food is overpriced and they got my order wrong! I ordered the buffalo pizza and they gave me a barbecue one instead! I had to wait another 15 min to get my actual order! They didn't even give me a refund, they just gave me a 10% brunch coupon that I clearly won't use. I also was with my mom and they put tons of onions on her sandwich and she hates onions! The description on the menu said nothing about onions on her sandwich. A friend of mine attempted to make an online order for delivery that ended up totaling around $37. The order had to be cancelled for two reasons: 1. They do not deliver past 3:00PM (it says this no where on their website) and 2. They didn't even have a delivery driver there that day. Three days later she was still charged for the $37 despite never getting any food. She called the restaurant to tell them what happened so they could cancel the charge and they, very rudely, informed her that they charge through some third party and have no way to track when a person is charged or not. Aka they have a massive security problem that they don't care about solving. The next day, she went into the restaurant to show them her bank statement as proof that she was charged. The manager told her to "get the f*** out." Route 31 has lost a lot of business this week due to their blatant disregard for security of their customer's finances and how insanely rude they were. I mean a manager who curses at a customer like that should be punished for his actions. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

I went on a Saturday morning to work on my laptop over coffee and an egg sandwich. Inviting atmosphere, especially for a cafe. Beautiful art and interesting, artful background music. Friendly service. Good food and coffee. Environmentally friendly values. Locally owned. Way better than a Panera. read more

I have been here a few times now. Food is excellent and reasonably priced for what you get. My only complaint is the wait time to get your food. Hopefully once they get more established the wait times will decrease. Will be going back in the future. read more

The chicken Caesar wrap was delicious. Service was great and the restaurant was spotless. Overall, a great experience.

I should start off by saying that from the beginning this place looked fantastic, lots of people, nice atmosphere, and the food being brought out looked awesome. After the initial "woah" things started going downhill. The girl at the register seemed rather lifeless which I guess I understand having worked in a coffee shop. After taking my order everything seemed fine but I was a little worried with having asked for an iced latte and seeing her struggle with placing the order, as well as the fact that there wasn't specifically an iced latte option on the board. I was waiting patiently for the drink and a simple bagel with cream cheese that I had also ordered and when I got the latte is was hot. At first I just kind of shrugged it off because I've had it happen to me where someone didn't place the order correctly at the coffee shop I worked at and I made it hot instead of iced. The drink was also barely full so I could essentially add some ice to it myself. Then the taste of the latte was just plain; nothing good, nothing bad. I was becoming disappointed. The bagel came after and I left before seeing that the bagel had maybe the smallest amount of cream cheese on it and the person that had spread it had done more of a 'place a ball of cream cheese in the middle and smush it together to spread it' kind of technique. To summarize, this place seems to have a hard time even getting simple things correct. All this may have been avoided by simply letting me know an iced latte wasn't possible and knowing how to make a toasted bagel with cream cheese. Ordered the three-cheese quesadillas with added chicken on my first visit to Root 31. Very disappointed. While the white tortilla was fresh...the supposed 3 cheeses really missing! I saw & tasted very little quite tasteless orange cheese!! Couldn't really identify it. Came with tomatoes inside...not listed on menu. I'm glad I added chicken although it was an additional $2.00. I've eaten much better food in the middle of nowhere, in the mountains of Michochaun, Mexico. Don't expect to return to Root 31...or at least I'd order something different. read more
