Well. The view from the rooftop is nice, especially at sunset. But the best viewpoint is roped off for most customers. The food was good, but not of the quality it should be for the prices on the menu. The tempura looked like it was previously frozen, and the portions for everything (especially the tiramisu) were quite disappointing. If you're not eating outside or facing the skyline, this place may not be worth it. You can get pretty much the same view from the pier below.

The Rooftop offers one of the best views of Manhattan from the New Jersey side. The space has a club vibe with DJ playing on a Saturday night. Come during sunset for the most incredible reflection against the city skyline. While the view is gorgeous and vibes are fun, what really set the bar was their service for me. My friend and I were enjoying our drinks when some lady backed up into our table and spilled my drink. She was so caught up trying to take a photo and completely ignored what she did. I was appalled and so annoyed. When I told a waiter so they could clean up the broken glass, he told me to let the manager know what happened. The manager was incredibly quick to get me a new drink and made sure all the glass was cleaned up. She definitely helped turned my night around, which was not any fault of the bar at all. And for that, they're getting a 5 stars for me. Plus, you can't get a better view!

Evening vibes here are LEGIT! We came towards the end of summer and the views are immaculate. Drinks were also great- perfect date night spot

Such a gorgeous view! I'm sure it's even more magical at night. Food, drinks and service were pretty good also. But, I could just stare out over the Hudson at the NYC skyline for hours.

Looking for a happy hour spot to grab drinks with friends or just decompress from work? Rooftop at Exchange is the place for you. The space offers indoor and outdoor seating with views overlooking the Hudson River. Shoutout to my bartender Charisma, the drinks were strong and luscious. Drink: Lavender Spirtz 10/10 Appetizers: Bang bang cauliflower & truffle French fries 10/10. The cauliflower was so yummy, I kept coming back for more lol. They do truffle tater tots but was able to accommodate me for fries instead and 10/10! The truffle, the sauce & crunch was perfect!

Ambiance is great, menu is limited, food is good, service is slow.. even when they're not busy. We had a good time but I don't know that we would come back. Such a great view though!

This is the spot to go when you want to find a space with a view, where you can forget the passing hours over stunning cocktails. This was a perfect setting for a long awaited homecoming. We arrived shortly after they opened, at 4, and we were probably the third party there. The layout of the space is open and allows every party to get a great view. There is a VIP space at the front right when you walk in, that doubles as a live performance area. This area has the best view of the skyline, but with a nearly 360 view, you can move around and take in the space. If you want to have a quiet space or intimate gathering, go early. It almost feels like you've rented the space out. People started to fill in around 7. I'd recommend coming early for the sunset. The entrance is on York St and is up a few small steps / ramp into an elevator. The doorman will usher you up to the rooftop unless you are staying in the hotel. When we got there, many bartenders were at the ready setting up for a packed evening. Our bartender took her time crafting our drinks and adding personal design touches. I loved the attention to detail. The cocktail prices ranged from $17-$22. They have a long list of spirits and a mix of wine and beers. The large open bar space is perfect for chatting with strangers. All of the staff seemed up for a conversation if you're going solo. My friend and I found ourselves chatting with a couple from Ohio who were looking for an elevated night out. The outdoor space has long rectangular fire pits, which were flicking and necessary on a chilly night. Some people chose to sit outside, but in winter the winds pick up and I wouldn't recommend putting your drink down. If you are looking to impress some out-of-towners or if you're looking for holiday cheer without the festive drinking from a Santa-faced mug, try the Rooftop at Exchange Place!

RoofTop at Exchange Place - Jersey City American fare & cocktails in a contemporary space with a retractable glass roof + unbeatable skyline views. The view? Absolutely breathtaking. House music was vibing. We were first seated by the firepit (cozy but low coffee table), then moved closer to the bar for a proper dinner table. What we ordered: Bang Bang Shrimp Pan Seared Octopus 12oz NY Strip Service was a little slow (packed house + 90-minute seating limit), but honestly, the energy was buzzing and we weren't in a rush. Food was worth the wait! Everything was flavorful and well-prepared. Overall: Great vibe, solid food, and views that will leave you speechless. Perfect for a night out with friends, date night, or just soaking in the city lights. from me! This place, especially during sunset hours, feels like a glimpse of paradise. The view is absolutely breathtaking--it's impossible not to be mesmerized. Our cocktails were also quite delicious. However, I can't say the same for the food. The menu is very limited, and the selections may not appeal to everyone. For example, there was only one pasta option, and it came with a spicy sauce. If the menu were expanded and the flavors enhanced, the dining experience could be significantly improved. That said, it's clear that the main draw here isn't the food--it's the view , the drinks and of course insta-worthy pictures:) We had a wonderful time overall. Thank you!

I brought my family here for some dinner and a good view. This place is definitely a place you'd want to grab a drink and take a couple photos. Dinner on the other hand, not so much. The food was pretty bland and the portion sizes were lacking. The salmon was cooked well, but wasn't well seasoned. The truffle fries and vegetable dish was ok. Come here for a drink and the view. Save your paycheck and calories for a meal elsewhere.

It costs $100 per person to make a reservation online using Resy. Is any part of it refunded if your bill is less than $100 per person? No one answers the phone and the voicemail is full.

They use open table, but there is a $10 fee if you are a no show to your reservation.

How can i get a reservation? They never pick up their phone and the mailbox is full.

Open table, you can also message the hostess through there. You can also call the Hyatt House.

Do they allow to hang out at the Rooftop without reservation?

At the bar usually, tables may be reserved but they do allow walk ins.

What happens when it rains at the rooftop area? (Not the terrace)?

While I can't comment on the wine list personally, I know they are well-known for their extensive selection. After placing our order, we were delivered the sesame pizza bianca, which is a complimentary starter bread with dinner. The bread was a nice size and light and airy with a perfect crust and a delicious, crusty sesame seed bottom. The prawns were our starter and came three to a dish. They were sizable, though since they are served with the head and tail, there isn't a ton of meat on them. That said, they were flavorful and juicy with a nice sauce and just the right amount of spice that didn't overwhelm the fish. The snowdance chicken was the star of the show! It was incredibly juicy and tender with perfectly prepared skin, so I was happy to learn they keep this on the menu year-round. It was topped with some spinach that was solid, though nothing special. We also ordered a side of mushrooms which came with a creamy sauce and fish roe intended to be mixed at the table. The roe wasn't fishy at all but added a great element of umami to the flavorful, well-textured mushrooms. Overall, the service was very professional, though I thought the pacing could have been improved as the dishes came out a bit slowly. I would also recommend ordering at least two dishes per person, as the three plates we shared between two people felt like just a touch too little food. I'm already looking forward to going back--I'd try the winter chicories salad or the veal sweetbreads next time, but I'm open to exploring everything since the quality is so high. I noticed a side dish listed on their online menu that wasn't actually offered in person, so it might be worth double-checking if you have your heart set on a specific item.

I made reservations after seeing their special hot chocolate on social media and had a wonderful meal! Started off with the hiramasa which was fresh and went deliciously well with the citrus-y and sweet cara cara orange, as well as the aji peppers! The castelfranco chickory salad was fresh, crunchy, slightly creamy and slightly tangy - basically everything you need in an appetizing salad! Their house sesame bread was fluffy and chewy with a good amount of sesame flavor without having too many seeds. For mains, the farfelle was very interesting and tasty! The pasta was al dente and the sauce was addicting! At first I was wondering if it would resemble a nut butter, but it was creamy with very prominent walnut flavors and interesting texture (perhaps from the blended walnut skin component?). The addition of burrata and other cheeses was perfect for a cheese-lover like me. The pork chop was flavorful, well-seasoned, and juicy. The leek and cabbage mixture soaked up all the sauce and I wish there was more! Their special hot chocolate with an espresso martini marshmallow was fire!!!! Hot chocolate was decadent, not too thick, and not too sweet. The toasted marshmallow melted quickly but definitely had coffee and alcohol flavors. The amount per serving doesn't appear a lot but appropriate considering how rich it is. The mascarpone dessert had a great balance of fluffy cream, extremely crispy phyllo, and crunchy nuts with a touch of chocolate and vanilla! For drinks, I was really curious about the bi lemongrass but they ran out. Staff recommended the semiplume, which felt like a beer, tea, and sparkling wine all at once! Loved the floral aroma and bitter tea notes. My partner's cocktails were also well executed. Staff were nice and friendly. We got seats right by the kitchen so staff often checked in with us, including the chef!! Vibes were intimate with the dim lighting and minimalist decor. Definitely want to come back to check out their chicken and other dishes!!

We wanted to order appetizer's first, and have a chance to look at the menu. He couldn't do that. "I need the whole order." Then one of us wanted to order the pre fixe dinner. "You can't do that. You both have to order it." He was very cold, a robot. To enjoy ourselves, we had to push through the horrible treatment. Too bad for the waiter, when I asked about the special pasta, he butchered the pronunciation, giving me a soft pitch to teach him Italian. I blasted him. C'est la vie.
