So, here's the deal I completely messed up my friend's bridal shower reservation wrong place, wrong city! But let me tell you about the lifesaver of the night Miss Madison! she was a rockstar! I called Halifax in a panic, and Madison managed to snag us a table for seven at 7:00 PM like some kind of seating magician. Seriously, she saved the day. The dinner? Absolutely delicious. The New York strip steak was out-of-this-world good, and we had some awesome appetizers, the drinks were delicious and let me get specific about that Prime New York strip!!!! it was dressed up with the silkiest carrot purée seriously dreamy, sweet pearl onions, a medley of local mushrooms, tender sweet potatoes, and the perfect hit of chimichurri sauce. Every bite was a flavor bomb. But the real standout was the service. Madison didn't just seat us and vanish she checked in, made sure everything was perfect, and genuinely cared about our experience. She even took care of a tiny issue we had like it was a big deal, which made us feel super valued. And last but not least our waitress Valeria did an amazing job, she was busy and still attentive, brought us everything we needed quickly, she was knowledgeable of the menu and her customer service was A1. Thank you ladies for this beautiful experience. Long story short, Halifax turned a near-disaster into a fantastic night. I almost forgot! The ambiance was stunning, the decor was gorgeous and the view was breathtaking!

Great service and good food at this little restaurant inside the W Hotel in Hoboken. Everybody liked or loved their meals. The tuna tartare variations for our starters were the best dishes; my fave was done up with olive oil, the other had jalapeños and mayo (not for me). I had a simple mixed green salad, which was pretty fresh, and some salmon. The sorbets for dessert were delicious, too, with the mixed berry having a ton of seeds (not that I love that, but it demonstrates it was made from real fruit!)

Didnt expect much but actually enjoyed my first visit even though some of my companions did not (oh well). Inside was beautiful. But on a sunday evening in June it was a slow day with not as many guests, which kinda made us skeptical at first. Service was polite but the food did take a while to arrive even though it wasnt busy. The bread to start (foccacia) was delicious. I got their pork belly which was amazing! but was on the smaller side; wish it came with something else too like shoe string fries or mashed, or even green beans! lol the fritto misto was tasty too and had nice crunch. lastly i got their orange cheesecake and it was a nice sweet/tangy ending! pricey, smaller in portion but quite good. Wouldnt be my go-to or daily place to go but glad we gave it a shot

Our waitress was so sweet! This restaurant faces the river so you get a view of NY and the park. It's nice for an evening dinner date and the mocktails didn't disappoint. Try their lamb balls with the bread the sauce was so good.

Tasty food, kind service, great options! It's located inside a Marriott, so it's very clean and modern looking. If you're in Hoboken, it's not a bad spot for brunch!

I came here for a professional event on a Friday morning and was amazed by the service, ambiance, quality, views, and location. I noticed that the sales/event manager was very attentive with the primary contact to ensure everything was going smoothly. I enjoyed my experience so much that on that same Sunday, I decided to come back for brunch with two others. For brunch you have the option of unlimited small plates (fried chicken, shrimp roll, deviled eggs & lox, scones, French toast, etc) for $35/PP but if you include mimosas it's $49/PP which is also extremely reasonable. Can't wait to come back!

The management here is out of their minds. I have been here at least 4 times before. This time we asked for two burgers both medium. One came almost raw. I understand it happens and we kindly asked to bring a new one since this one is not cooked to our liking. No apologies nothing, they take the bitten burger, put the whole thing in a microwave and bring it back. Obviously if you put the full burger into microwave together with lettuce tomatoes and other ingredients it will come out mushy and soft. I call the manager hoping that someone has common sense and ask him if he thinks it's alright to bring such food here. He responded that it's what they always do if it's not cooked enough. Will never come back again and ai don't recommend a place with such management.

4 of my friends and I went to Halifax for Sunday brunch which they have two-hour limits for, hence the reservation times of 10:45/11A, or 1:45/2P. We opted to do the a la carte option but still try at least one of everything under the morning starters and afternoon delights sections. Overall, the food was really disappointing- the smoked chicken on the biscuits and chicken gravy looked and was very unappetizing, the fall squash salad didn't have dressing on it, scones were too hard, the first order of potato poutine we ordered had too much cheese (but the second order we got of it was better), and the french toast was dry with way too much whipped cream on it. I'd say what was better was the mac and cheese, southern style fried chicken (with a different accompaniment than the green bean salad), deviled eggs, and egg wonton. The view of the water and skyline was nice with the floor to ceiling windows, but the music was pretty loud (probably to add to the 2-hour bubbles brunch vibe). Our server Marlon was also nice and attentive. Overall, wouldn't recommend it as a brunch spot in Hoboken to others.

Location is beautiful city scape! Love the modern architecture. Coffee was good. I asked for my eggs Benedict to be well done. Served not well done! Everyone was basically done with their breakfast when I got my well done eggs Benedict :( Metered street parking.

The food and service was great. I came with a party of two and got the all you can eat brunch appetizer with an entrée. No complaints for my end. The ambience was great. It was not overbooked and it was not bustling. Very calm and the food was very tasty.

Came here with 12 other people for a birthday brunch and it was a hit. The waitress Hiba and all her coworkers took great care of our table with having constant food coming out and making sure everyone had what they need. It was a good variety of food that ranged from sweet to savory. The price per person was decent for the amount of food and drinks we got. The interior is sleek and cozy for intimate outings as well as big parties.

Went here for dinner with a party of six near Christmastime. Restaurant is a hotel restaurant and sits on a corner lot - has a nice view of the city across the river! We were sat in a corner booth table near the window and it was pretty cold. We were a little indecisive and taking our time, and I felt like we were being rushed by our server. The first server we had was not helpful at all - I asked what she'd recommend between the Amish chicken and pork milanese, and she said something to the effect of "don't get the chicken, it's nothing special/very bland". You should NEVER undersell your food even if you don't like it, I was quite surprised by that. After she came back a second time and we still weren't ready to order, they sent a new server to take care of us. She was MUCH more knowledgeable and helped us walk through the menu and recommended favorites. We started with an other of the housemade bread - yes this was tasty but focaccia for $7? The sea lettuce butter was the saving grace. We also ordered some starters - the deviled eggs (and someone else ordered a salad with their meal). Unfortunately, these never came out before our main meals. The server blamed the cold bar station but as the server, it was kind of her job to see if our apps came out... they comped 2 deviled eggs for us to try which was appreciated (and they were tasty). Four of the six of us at the table decided to split various entrees - SAFFRON RIGATONI, RICOTTA GNOCCHI, SMOKED AMISH CHICKEN and KABOCHA SQUASH. I think the ricotta was my favorite - pastas were made in house and very flavorful. Unfortunately the saffron rigatoni was not good at all - there were still a few pieces of uncleaned lobster shell I chewed on, and the pasta was too al dente. The squash was a surprising dish in how much I liked it! Overall, the food was tasty but the misses (appetizers not coming out, unhelpful server), outweighed the experience.

    Ask the Community - Halifax

What is the difference between dining room and living room seating? Is there different ambiance? Which room has a better view of the water? Thx

I am not sure if the living room seating is part of Halifax. The dining room is where the view is. The Living Room is part of the lobby of the W. Hope this helps- this is a FABULOUS view. Unmatched.

    Drinks still bottomless?

Bottomless brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.

    Is Halifax 21+?

Halifax is for everyone, i've seen a whole family with kids having dinner. To drink at Halifax just like any other USA restaurant/bar you need to be 21 to drink alcohol. Hope that answers your question.

Can people with allergies be accommodated for the brunch?

I went to brunch with a friend with celiacs, and they were very accommodating and we had a pleasant experience.

    What is the attire?

    Casual to business dress

    Is there a dress code?

Nope, when I was there last week there were people who dressed casually but some in smart/business casual. There was a group of family all suited up for a small wedding event. It all depends on your occasion! (A face mask is a must.)

Anyone eat here for dinner who is celiac? Wondering how they accommodate for gluten free. There is no mention of allergens on their menu.

Hi! Fellow Celiac - last time I ate here, I steered clear of anything gluten. Not entirely sure if they've upped their menu and offered it as an option since then, but I did not have any gluten attack after eating here. I feel that they're pretty… Read more

    What time does Brunch end?

Brunch sessions are Saturdays and Sundays, from 11:30AM-3PM. Halifax offers regular breakfast daily from open-12PM or so (7-11:30AM for weekends), but either way, you're starting your day off on the right pace! Have fun with your planned visit there!

Does this restaurant offer gluten free options? I would like to go for brunch but do not want to waste my time if there are no options for me to eat.

The brunch menu there is some items but not a lot. The dinner menu has more that can suit your needs

    What is the parking situation?

Nonexistent in that area (unless you pay ^ for valet)

We thought mini golf was interactive, everyone had the same chance to play and it's simple enough without exerting too much energy (unlike an escape room or the dancing tiles which I also came across in my research). Great place for friends, families, dates of all ages. We checked in on the ground floor (also have a coat check here) and were told they have a cabin themed course on the 2nd floor and a museum themed course on the 3rd floor, but there was a party going on. They also told us about the rooftop lounge, which is covered with plastic and they have heaters blasting the space. We went with the cabin themed. Although I don't think they completely blocked the 3rd floor with the party, we just didn't want to have to compete with others and wanted a quiet experience. They have stairs or an elevator. Once we got to the 2nd floor, we were the only ones there and were explained how the digital scoring works. We inputted our names, and our scoreboard would follow us from board to board in sequence after we all punched in our scores. The max was 6 putts per course to help keep things moving (we definitely played more than 6 on some courses lol). The courses did progressively get more challenging as you moved on. The decor was beautiful. Fairy lights lined the space with murals or a ski lodge/mountains around with a polar bear and a ski mobile. Many cute photo ops. On the last course, once you made it, the game swallowed your ball, I guess to help prevent you from trying to play the course again. I wish there was more than 9 courses though. It was fun enough but maybe having a few more would have helped fill the time more. Time flew by and we had lots of laughs. Would be excited to come back to try the museum course next time.

I booked a social package that included 90 minutes of reserved seating, one round of mini golf, and a $25 food or drink voucher per person. When we arrived, we were given tickets for mini golf, but the staff seemed unsure about how the food and drink vouchers worked. After some back-and-forth, we learned the vouchers could only be used on the second floor, and if used for drinks, there was only one option available -- a blue rum drink with coconut. Unfortunately, the drink missed the mark for me and my friends, and the recipe could definitely use some improvement. We were also never shown where our reserved seating was, which was disappointing. That said, I had an amazing group of friends, and we still made the night a lot of fun. We played the Lodge course on the second floor, which is their most challenging course and beautifully decorated. I also loved the tablet that kept score for us -- it was a great touch. The rooftop area is another highlight: it's heated and really enjoyable during the winter. Overall, while the atmosphere and mini golf were fun, I wouldn't book a party package again -- it wasn't worth the cost. Next time, I'd just pay for mini golf directly.
