The bartenders upstairs on the roof are so rude. I asked for a high noon in a specific flavor and she said that I'd get whatever she pulls out. For my final high noon order when I closed out, she gave me a surf side and immediately opened it up before I could tell her it's wrong. Every time you ask for something, they make you feel like you're doing something wrong. You shouldn't be working in the service industry if you hate providing service...

Great place for a mom's lunch!! They were soo sweet and accommodating with 9 strollers and 10 babies. Everyone enjoyed their burgers and beer/wine. Add it to the list of baby friendly lunch spots! Also I hear they have half off the burger happy hour on Mondays. Also had the calamari and tuna app and fries. All good!

I had not been to City Bistro in a long time. We went today for brunch and sat on the rooftop. I enjoyed the experience. I had scrambled eggs and bacon with potatoes and a lemonade. My husband had a similar dish. The food was very good, the ambiance very nice. My only complaints were they charged my husband for a refill on his coffee which I thought was odd. Also I would have liked to have seen a mocktail menu. All in all it was good and I would go back.

Rooftop bar in Hoboken is where it's at! Can't beat it on a warm summer day. The food looked good, but I come here for the ambiance and party!

Top line: I would not recommend this place over all the other options in Hoboken especially for a special occasion. On a warm Saturday night in Hoboken, it was my friends birthday so we were looking at all of the great restaurant options and chose City Bistro to celebrate! It was a beautiful night but there were no tables outside so we had to sit inside - this is where it went downhill. This outing proved a bad server can really ruin your experience. Our server was so soft spoken it was impossible to hear her - I'm sorry to say but if you're shy, I feel like serving on a busy Saturday night in Hoboken is not for you. She just seemed really confused the entire time by everything we were ordering and kept disappearing so we couldn't order more. Then the food took forever so we were a little concerned if she even put in our order at all. When the food did come out, it was delicious. The tacos and the fried burrata were really good. We ordered some apps but they were so small we wish we would've ordered more. I mean 2 bao buns for a party of 6?? As a server I would let my table know the portion is small and suggest they order multiple orders if they all want to try. Then out of nowhere, without us asking she came out with the check. We had just seen another server come out with a sparkler dessert a few minutes before and we wanted that for my friends bday but then our server says we can't because the kitchen is closed! Again as a server, wouldn't you want to run up your check and ask us if we want to put anything else in before the kitchen closes? We were there for 2hrs (trying) to spend lots of money so she had plenty of time to give us a heads up, just seems like she was fumbling a bag here. Overall, the food was pretty good but the service made me question if I would ever return.

City bistro is great place to hangout in uptown Hoboken - great service, nice ambience, good selection of beer, cocktails and food. Indoor is a bit dark but in summers they have front patio as well as rooftop seating. We went on a Saturday afternoon recently and sat on the rooftop. There are 2 sections on rooftop one with bar seating, benches and DJ station and other section in front with tables and a small bar. We sat in the front section, ordered few cocktails, beers and a pizza to share. Really enjoyed our time there.

I love the food here, the crunchy French toast was delicious and soft unlike the normal crispy French toast. The service was good. Server came on time however it's a Sunday and they were packed. Firecracker shrimp tasted delicious Our mimosas didn't taste that great - it was flat but the espresso martini was great We also had an omelette

This was a vegetarian onion and chive tart, so good!

The service was really nice and helpful. It has a cute little rooftop along with good cocktails. A really nice spot to catch up with friends!

I came here for brunch on a weekend to meet some friends. We came mostly for the rooftop outdoor space which was small but had a nice breeze which was needed especially on a hot day. I wouldn't say the food was bad but it wasn't anything special either. We asked to have our potatoes crispy but they just came out soft yet well seasoned. The Benedict was fine. Probably could have used more sauce though. The drinks seemed pretty watered down and came in plastic cups which seemed weird? Nothing else came in plastic ‍ The service was pretty good and the waitress was genuinely apologetic that the potatoes weren't crispy at all.

I…read morehad been eager to try their pies, as well as their full meals, but only just made it to their dimly lit, hip and happening main dining room. The space was not large, but they really made the most of it, offering a decent number of tables with reasonable space between them. My friend and I were quickly seated and immediately greeted by a charming server that opened our bottle of wine (it's BYO) and offered us still or sparkling water. I had read in other reviews that you had to pay for water, so I was not surprised by the $6 bottle of Saratoga that wound up on our bill. In addition to our engaging server and the happening atmosphere, the food was similarly incredible. We decided to order a load of things to share, so that we could try a greater variety. We started with two appetizers that were seasonal Spring additions to the menu. The Hamachi Crudo included five thickly-sliced, tender pieces of Japanese yellowtail sitting in a broth of rhubarb aguachile and topped with white strawberries and basil seeds. It was an unique blend that we would not have expected to work, but boy was it delicious! The sweet toppings infused a load of flavor into an otherwise mild fish. We also enjoyed the Fava-mole, a creamy puree of fava beans studded with balls of hand-pulled mozzarella and pea tendrils, all drizzled with zesty ramp oil. I had not been sure what to expect from the dish, but it offered fresh, bright garden flavors. We also decided to share a pasta course and an entree. The Fettuccini was tossed with spring truffles and maitakes in a light, yet heavily aromatic, wild mushroom cream sauce. It was one of the best dishes I had had in quite some time. Then, as we were waiting on our seafood entree, we received a second pasta, courtesy of the Chef. I had mentioned that I had heard rave reviews about Flour from a server at Heirloom Kitchen, a top NJ restaurant. Apparently, our waiter had let the Chef know about that glowing praise, and the kitchen further verified that positivity with the generous gesture. In fact, they wound up sending out the Linguine with white clam sauce, razor clams, and wild ramps, the other dish about which I had been most curious anyway. Well, it was another winner! It was garlicky, herbaceous, and rich with flavors of the sea. Speaking of seafood, we next received the Branzino 'Bahn mi', a perfectly cooked piece of Mediterranean sea bass with Vietnamese sausage and pickled vegetables. The branzino's crispy skin and flaky, moist interior were excellent, and we loved all of the other smoky and briny flavors on the plate. After all of that excellent food, we would have loved to try one of their appealing desserts, but we were just too full. Between the ambiance, welcoming vibe, and delicious cuisine, our Flour experience was simply divine! It has now became one of my favorite restaurants in the area, and I cannot wait to try their pizza at some point as well.

I was a big fan of both, especially the ricotta, which was so incredibly creamy. For the mains, everyone's fresh-made pasta was excellent. I ordered the Mexican street corn, which was unique, flavorful, and delicious. I also tried some of the spicy rigatoni and loved it. We ended the night with the s'mores dessert, which was rich and chocolatey. Also, the fact that the restaurant is BYOB is a huge plus! The only downside was that I lost an item during our visit. I had a really hard time finding their contact information online, so I had to go back in person to ask about it, which was a bit annoying. Ultimately, they weren't able to recover it, but the food itself was still outstanding.

I definitely recommend having a reservation as they were pretty busy on a Sunday morning. The Cappuccino was well-made, soothing, and gave me a much-needed caffeine kick. We got one sweet & one savory dish because that's the best way to brunch! The Steak & Eggs was surprisingly good! The hanger steak was juicy, tender, and well-seasoned. I had asked for the eggs to be soft scrambled and I felt like they were a touch overcooked but still enjoyable and paired well with the steak. The brunch potatoes could've been way crispier but I did enjoy the peppers & onions mixed it. The French Toast was fantastic. The coconut butter was a nice addition and it was the right sweetness level overall. Good try for brunch!

While we were seated inside almost immediately, we waited almost 20 minutes for a server to come check in with us. Ordered the nutella donuts, eggs any style, french toast and bacon benedict, along with the Jalisco Flower and Bloody Maria. The brunch cocktails were a highlight of our meal. Had things gone better, we would have had another round. The donuts came out shockingly fast. However, they were incredibly dense, and the nutella sauce was extremely watered down and more of a generic chocolate sauce. The french toast and bacon benedict was perplexing. Benedicts traditionally come with hollandaise sauce- none to be found here. There was also an overwhelming amount of coconut on the french toast, which was not disclosed in the entree description. Other french toast descriptions advertise a coconut butter - this was not a butter consistency, but rather a layer of mushy shredded coconut on top. The watered down nutella sauce ended up being a nice sauce for the french toast. It was pretty warm and cramped in the area we were sitting. Our server never came back to refill our water during our meal. For over $100 (including tip) for brunch for 2, there seem to be better places in Hoboken to have a boozy brunch.

There was only one other family dining, and the space stayed empty the entire time. The service was genuinely great. Friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, and a really cute, cozy space. I especially loved the Christmas décor and overall vibe--it felt warm and inviting. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to the prices. The house salad was $13 and honestly one of the most basic, smallest, and most boring salads I've ever had--very underwhelming for the cost. We also ordered quesadillas, a cheeseburger with fries, and grilled cheese with tomato soup. My son enjoyed the burger and fries, and the quesadillas were flavorful, generously filled with chicken and veggies, and came with sour cream, pico, and guac. The tomato soup was tasty, while the grilled cheese was just okay. One small but appreciated detail: canned soda. Cold, crisp, and not flat which is always a win. Lunch for 3 came in just under $100, which felt high given what we received. One frustration was being seated in a tight corner right next to the kitchen even though the dining room was completely empty. We were so close I could literally see into the kitchen and count items on the shelves. On top of that, the hostess repeatedly walked by calling out "corner," which became distracting and honestly a bit irritating. Overall, I liked the vibe, but the food-to-price ratio missed the mark for me. It wasn't bad--just alright.

My first visit was for my birthday a few years ago where we ordered a steak dish that was so incredibly fatty that it was inedible. We told our server and they offered to bring us out another, which was also still SO fatty. The experience left a bitter taste in our mouths but we were comped the steak and offered a $100 gift card to use on a future visit. We were in no rush to return and it took almost a year for us to visit again. On this visit I don't recall anything being bad but nothing stood out. Our third and fourth visits ended up being yesterday (Valentine's Day) for last minute brunch and dinner reservations. We were appreciative that they were able to squeeze us in last minute. We weren't too keen on a pre fixe menu, but everywhere appears to have a set menu on the holiday. I ordered the shakshuka which lacked depth of flavor and was very disappointing. Probably the worst shakshuka I've ever had unfortunately. The salad and bread that came with it were both good. My husband ordered the steak sandwich (the other 2 entrees he wanted to try were both sold out). The sandwich was very flavorful but needed to be served on a crustier bread. The skillet pancake had good flavor but was so incredibly dense and could've used more bananas. Valentine's dinner was the straw that broke the camel's back. Out of everything that was offered, the only dish worth mentioning was the lobster pasta. It was spicy, pasta cooked al dente, and a fair amount of lobster chunks. We received our salad promptly but our pasta second course came out before the seafood starter course. We brought it to our server's attention and it still took a long time to receive it. Then we had another long wait for our main course. The steak was okay, mashed potatoes were good, but the peppercorn sauce absolutely ruined the meal. There were too many peppercorns in every bite. Also the Nutella flan they offered for dessert was a far cry from a flan. It wasn't good. I would've preferred their regular desserts as an offering. Service was very lackluster. Overall, I'm very disappointed. I really wanted to love antique given that it has been voted best restaurant in Hoboken, but the service and food are both subpar.
