Chicken Club

The chicken club was so so incredibly juicy and flavorful that alone should bring your here Dylan the bartender had great costumer service HOWEVER even if it wasn't great I wouldn't care because the sandwich was literally that good I don't drink but they have a ton of whiskey. Great vibe

Great local bar. Intimate but not small, with an excellent selection of draft beers (30+). Food is way better than your typical "bar" food. Pro tip - go on Wednesday for 5 dollar whiskey. Again, lots to choose from (Jeffersons, Basil Hayden, Buffalo Trace, Elijah Craig to name just a few). Special shout out to Rudy and Planet who run a standout place.

My sister introduced me to this spot a couple years ago and it's always a chill spot to sip on a vanilla crown and coke. The staff is attentive and welcoming. Tip: Sundays are fun for karaoke with friends.

Southwestern Chicken Salad

We were looking for a new place nearby and this popped up as a spot for food and whiskey selection. Our appetizer was the chips and queso which did come with salsa as well. $7.49 Unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of the flavor of the chips. The salsa was heavy on the tomato flavor to the point it seemed more of a marinara than salsa. The queso was you're at home Velveeta queso, not bad but nothing special. For my entree I selected the Southwestern Chicken Salad. $12.49 Grilled Chicken, Lettuce Blend, Cheddar & Jack, Pico, and Tortilla Strips. I swapped out my ranch for the jalapeno ranch. Loved my salad, very big and the veggies were all fresh. The chicken was well seasoned and not overcooked. My partner went with their Friday special: Chicken Fried Steak $11.99 Which came with 2 sides: steamed broccoli and mash potatoes. This plate was very large and filling. The steak was very thinly breaded and well-seasoned. This is a plus, when they overbreed the steak it hardly every holds its form, but this was not the case here. the mash potatoes are rich and creamy. Can't really mess up steamed broccoli but definitely extra points for the added garlic bread that came with the plate. The cost of most menu items varies on the meal but overall, very affordable because we did choose to drink our bill was a little higher but expected. My partner being the whisky fan that he is was highly impressed with their selection and the old fashion he was given. We will most likely be returning to check out other menu items!

My last beer of the night

Ron's Place is a gem for sure especially if you're in search for craft beer. I used my Yelp app to find nearby spots, and this was the closest. The barkeep was polite & his service was fantastic, offering tasters before I committed to a full pour, which is always a huge plus. The bar features what I call the "Great Wall of Beer," showcasing ancient beers from over the years. Even though I didn't grow up during those times, I could feel the journey and history of those beers, adding a nostalgic touch to the experience. I can't wait to visit again someday!

less than impressed. Selection of whiskey is legit, but if your 'tender sucks and there's no... ANYTHING than not worth the $12 price.

Met up with an old friend here for drinks on a Monday night and really enjoyed it. Super diverse…read morecrowd, very casual, and still lively even on a weekday. We got a cheeseboard, but if I had to recommend one thing, definitely the fried mushrooms if you like mushrooms. They're huge and the spicy cilantro sour cream sauce is killer! We sat in the indoor/outdoor area, which was my fave. It can take a minute to flag someone down when it's busy, but that felt understandable for how busy they were. Easy place to settle into and lose track of time a bit--just drinks, conversation, and good food without overthinking it.

I came for "just one pint" and left three days later wearing someone else's sweater, speaking in a…read morequestionable accent, and convinced I'm 1/16th Irish on my mother's side (DNA test still pending). The Guinness is poured so perfectly it should be in the Louvre. The bartender, Austin (I'm pretty sure that's his real name and not just what he tells customers), has the patience of a saint and the sarcasm of a man who's been asked "Do you have anything like Guinness but less dark?" one too many times. Highlights: The fish & chips were so good I briefly considered converting to Catholicism just so I could thank God properly. The bathroom graffiti is poetic. "Roses are red, violets are blue, I came for a piss and met half the crew." - actual quote. Then you've got Hannah, who's basically the pub's chaos coordinator. She's got blonde hair that could guide ships in a fog and a laugh that echoes like a banshee having a great time. Don't sleep on Wes - He'll nod once, slide you your drink, and if you're lucky, mutter something profound like "Life's short, drink good stout." Then he disappears to polish glasses like he's auditioning for a monastery. Absolute mystery man, 10/10 enigma. And rounding out the crew is Paige, the wildcard. She's got stories that start with "Back in then..." and end with police chases, lost sheep, and at least one exploding still. She'll flirt with your grandma, roast your ex in three sentences or less. There is also this Asian guy that looks like a confused troll with blonde hair. He lives up to the saying once you go Asian it's amasian. Can't forget the blonde girl that's going through the Dallas legacy transition of bottle service to real estate. Shes as good at serving as she is selling real estate. These people run the bar like a well-oiled dysfunctional family. They banter with each other louder than the jukebox, remember birthdays you forgot you told them, and have an unspoken code: if you're having a rough night, they'll slide you a free shot and pretend it was a mistake. If you're being a gobshite, they'll roast you into next week without missing a pour.

My friend recommended this on his list of Irish Pubs around here, so I decided to give it a try. For a strip mall Irish Pub, it does take you into another world. Cool entrance that opens up to a horseshoe bar with tons of tables and booths. It was Trivia night, so they only had the Stanley Cup playoff on one TV. Sat down at the bar and ordered my Guinness and reviewed the menu. There were a couple of selections I was interested in (always gravitate to Bangers n' Mash), but went with the fish & chips with French Onion soup. Get these together, because the fish is delicious in the beef broth of the French Onion! It was good, though fish could've used a little more batter with the thick walleye filets. I loved it all and enjoyed the conversation with the bartender with the I Love Indie Horror hat. Some good ones out there that aren't being made like they use to!!

After we paid our bill with a credit card, I noticed that we were charged a 3% credit card fee. That was a first, and likely began in April since our last visit was on 3/24/26 and no credit card fee was assessed. Nowhere on the menu was it mentioned there would be a credit card fee, nor was it articulated by a bartender. That sort of fee makes me wonder what's going on in this establishment. Not sure we'll be back.

This review is long overdue but hey as long as I get it done…read more We were luckily referred to Harwood Arms by the front desk of our hotel at check-in, which was conveniently within walking distance (~10 mins) and has a kitchen that's open late which was nice after a day of travel, later check-in and being hungry. It was a few days before Thanksgiving, there was a decent crowd in the bar and everyone including the bartender (who's name I now cant remember because I took so long to write this) were all very friendly and helpful. The bar was warm, cozy and decked out in Christmas decor (and cute bathroom wallpaper). Good beer selection, great food (I literally ate the tikka masala twice during our couple day trip) and they were conveniently open on Thanksgiving after the game and a fun shot wheel, which was both fun to partake in and fun to watch others do.
