My dealer told me I only had about 10% of life left on them. I was surprised at that, because I drive with a central eye to gas mileage. I coast up to stops as often as possible. After Joe looked at them, he told me I had about 90% life on them and didn't recommend doing anything with them. The second and third times I took the car in, I expected to be told I had muffler problems and then a CV boot problem. Again, Joe diagnosed minor problems, showed me what the actual problem was and then did minimal repair. I think I've spent a total of $40 on all three visits! Car is running great and I just cleared another dealership check-up with no problems. I'll be heart-broken if Joe ever retires.....

I explained that I believed the issue was caused by the neutral safety switch, which is a known and common issue for this model. Instead of inspecting that part, the shop replaced my starter and battery terminal posts, charging me $966. The problem was never fixed -- the Jeep still has the exact same starting issue. When I returned, Starr Auto admitted it might actually be the neutral safety switch and said they could repair it for another $200. That clearly shows the first repair was misdiagnosed and unnecessary. I'm a disabled veteran with VA disabled license plates, and I rely on my vehicle for daily mobility. I trusted this shop to treat me fairly, but instead I feel taken advantage of and disappointed by their lack of professionalism and integrity. I've since filed a credit card dispute for the $966 charge and would strongly caution other customers -- especially veterans -- to avoid this business.

I kinda piled things up with my car and when I finally took it in I was looking for an oil change, new brake light, tire rotation, and air pressure checked. I was hoping I could have all this done for around $125. I left with an $80 bill and they fixed a problem that I had with a tire sensor that I have had for YEARS (MULTIPLE places have offered to fix this for around $200). I was completely blown away. My care needs full synthetic oil and I've been charged upwards of $100 for just an oil change. Southeast was more than affordable and I got one for around half of that. The printout they gave me was very detailed, they didn't offer anything extra than what I was there for and as mentioned before they actually took the time to put the right amount of air in the tires and informed me my sensor was never even broken to begin with. You do need to make an appointment (but I was still able to get in just 2 days out) and drop your car off in the morning. By noon my car was finished and I was able to pick it up. I will absolutely be back and it is honestly the best experience I've ever had at an auto service place. They are very very honest and if you are still considering someplace else, just look at the other 5 star reviews. Southeast is the best!

The helpful AutoZone employee referred us here to check things out more thoroughly for our trip back home. How Fortunate! We were served immediately, he topped off our coolant, gave us some additional water to add just in case - but most importantly gave us the reassurance we needed that we could travel the 256 miles home. On top of the professionalism, we had to literally beg him to take money for the consult and service. He would only accept $10. Entrepreneurs like this make Minneapolis a world-class city.
