Finally made it out to Rolling Pin's Ventura location and they had a good selection of donuts ready (see my pic). I was craving the cake donut holes -although it's unfortunate that this location doesn't make them :( (so sad!). Settled on a cinnamon roll -which was great, heated up when I got home. Also ordered a dozen of regular donut holes -taste as expected. Service was good -we chatted about how it was the owner's decision to NOT sell the cake donut holes at this location, as supposedly they weren't selling well. Large, free parking lot, located with other retail establishments. Large interior with inside seating.

I was in the area and had some time before an appointment to stop by for a sweet treat. I got the cinnamon roll. It's big, soft and fresh. The clerk asked me if I wanted it warmed up so naturally I said yes. It was delicious and although it looked like a lot of frosting it was just the right ratio.

The staff was super helpful going through each donut and answering questions regarding possible cross contamination with peanuts due to my little ones allergy. They could not guarantee anything but let us know the peanuts are kept in a separate container, glaze chocolate round donuts are made at a different time than those with peanuts, all donuts are transferred using gloves, etc. My kids peanut allergy has subsided to only if he ingests actual peanuts so we went with a chocolate with sprinkles which he ate without issue. He said it was really good and given the size of it he was full before he finished the donut. The Mrs Yelper got a mini apple fritter, which she ate some of and brought home given that she ate some of my blueberry round. I'd say their apple fritters are the best thing in the menu. The dining area had ample room and this is a great place for families to come for a donut, with donuts such as the Homer Simpson, and m&m donuts. They have little character statues for photo op, and have merchandise for those donut lovers like myself. That's this critic's review, until next time I'll be eating.

What a delicious assortment of donuts!! The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is fun. My friend and I enjoyed a table outside. We were so impressed with the light fluffy dough and tasty toppings! We are excited to hear they may be coming to TO soon!! There was a steady stream of customers the entire time we sat here. Thanks!!

I stg this place may have me becoming a donut person again. Incredible and fresh donuts, clean interior, and seriously some of the nicest people (shout out to Ronny for being so informative and kind!). Apparently this is a second location and they are basically cranking out fresh donuts for most of the day. Highly recommend getting a cafe de olla with you donut as it really rounds out the flavor

I picked up some donuts to go, it was empty when I went in the afternoon. The donuts were fresh and soft. I love a chocolate chip roll with lots of chocolate chips on the inside & it's a good size too. The cake donuts are fluffy and sweet with the frosting on top. Apple fritter has chunks of cinnamon apples in there with a glaze on top. Parking- big parking lot shared with other businesses

Enjoyed a chocolate-filled and frosted donut from here yesterday, after a relaxing, brisk walk on the beach. As my man had hyped them up and warned me, he was spot on... RP Donuts are delicious . Excellent customer service, too. Will definitely be back! Pro-tip: enjoy heated for an extra yummy treat! While I took mine to go and warmed at home, a kind employee offered to warm in-store.

Apple fritter here is always good. Big size to share with someone else but brings the flavor no matter how you take it apart! Always ready and available at the counter, especially at this location. Ambiance is always fun whether you hang inside to eat, see the menu or are in and out here since service is quick, efficient and always helpful. Took my Apple fritter on the go and the flavor and texture was there, no problem with its presentation outside the bag. With the variety in their menu, will come back!

I thought this is an above average place to enjoy a donut and coffee. They have a nice variety of donuts from which to choose. However, they also have a nice restaurant like interior. So if you want to enjoy your donut and coffee while there, they do have a few inside tables and a nicely appointed interior.

This is a bright cheerful donut spot. I've never been to the original in Camarillo, but this location seems to always have a lot of donuts available even in the later hours. Anytime I've gone The staff is super friendly. They have Cronuts and their savory croissants, like ham or turkey, are also excellent. Popular flavors such as cronuts do sell out quickly and are not made later in the day. Stop by when you get a chance!

I had heard of the notorious Rolling Pin in Camarillo so getting one in Ventura was super exciting. I love donuts (who doesn't!?) so I was happy to treat myself and finally try this spot. The shop itself is very spacious and clean. Super cute decor too. Staff was very friendly and attentive. I tried a maple bar, Oreo, and fruity pebbles donut. The fruity pebbles cereal was a tad stale but cereal donuts are hard to nail with freshness. The maple bar was solid. I love how airy these donuts are. Not too dense and definitely fluffy. They have a good amount of speciality flavors that I'm excited to go back and try. Overall, good donuts!

I am not a donut gal but I love Rolling Pin. Specially , the blueberry donut. Customer service is good . They do sell out of items . People being angry at that need to understand that sometimes small shop owners have to dump whatever is left so after so many days of that ... they scale back. I am all about supporting local . Want all the donuts ... be there right when they open. Plan accordingly . Why be mean and give them a low rating . This is a small owned business .. kindness goes such a long away. May the universe bring you good vibes yall . So happy they have a second location . Please please come to Oxnard !

Been a fan of the Camarillo Rolling Pin location. To have another location in Ventura, yay for them! Yummy Donuts & Super Friendly Service. Not to mention, freshly made churros. Churros are made to order, so you have to wait for them. Was glad to know they offer a 1/2 dozen donut box option. Bec I sure don't need a dozen donuts to myself haha!.. If you just can't decide, You can have them choose donuts for you. Of course you can pick your own... Love donut holes too. Surprisingly, the Blueberry donut holes were yummy. Some seating inside... & cute photo op too... Arrive here early for best selection.

Truly cannot choose a favorite, these were three of the most beautiful, bursting with flavor slices of pie I have ever had. I don't even know if I liked pie before this order, but now it might be my favorite dessert!? These slices are high-end, decadent desserts that are well worth it. It's clear that Skylar is passionate about her pies and is so, so talented. Cannot wait to place my next order!

Skylar posted her pies for the week on Wednesday on her Instagram account, and I was able to purchase a pie slice box (3 different slices for $35) for pick up in Ventura on Sunday. This week's pies were strawberry cream, lemon with meringue, and coconut cream. They were all beautifully decorated and baked to perfection. The coconut cream was my favorite because it had a salty crust that paired well with the sweet coconut. But honestly, they were all so delicious! I will definitely be re-ordering more of these pie slices soon. They were worth every penny.

I love their pastries, but the recent price increases do make them a luxury item. Kouign Amann are my fave, but any of their croissants are also great. I haven't really tried their drinks. Had a Hot chocolate at the Camarillo location, and they even had a little latte art in the milk foam. A beautiful space to enjoy, but pricey overall. Service is usually fine, not overly friendly but that is also due to being so busy that they need to move the lines quickly and efficiently. At Camarillo, the server was much more talkative and friendly because it wasn't crowded when I went.

The gentleman that delivered our food just plopped the plates down and walked away. No gluten free options only macaroons! I usually buy ice cream from a truck, but today I felt like going to a store, so I visited. The store's interior is classic and reflects Mr. Softee's history. Looking at the old photographs displayed in the store, you can see that Mr. Softee has been loved by people for a long time. I usually order a simple vanilla soft-serve ice cream from the truck, but since I was at the store, I decided to try something different. I had a strawberry sundae, and my friend had a warm chocolate cookie sundae. Of course, both were delicious. The ice cream here is simple and reminds me of the ice cream I had as a child. They also sell original merchandise in the store, which was really fun. It's a fun place for both children and adults. A while back I read a Mister Softee review by my Yelp friend Gina. She had rented the truck for a family party and wrote about how great the experience was. That's where I got the idea. But instead of a family party, I thought it would be fun to have a party for all the kids on our street. Our street is filled with kids! I mean, the street is only like two blocks long, but there are well over twenty kids. They're out there every day, riding bikes, shooting hoops, running around without a care in the world. Good times! My Wife designed and printed up invitations, then went door to door up and down the street to personally invite everyone. She already knows pretty much everyone, so the Parents were cool with the idea. So today was the big day. I was super excited when the Mister Softee Truck pulled up and parked right in front of my house. And then the driver turned on the music. Aw yeahhhh! And that's when the kids started coming. Big kids, little kids, Parents carrying kids, so many kids. A small line formed. It was a trip watching what the kids ordered. They got to pick whatever they wanted from the menu. They could pick a Cone, a Sundae, a Shake, Ice Cream Sandwich, even a Banana Split. It cracked me up how many ordered a small cone. I mean, not even dipped. Just a plain old small cone. Such a sensible order! I loved it!!!! One little guy ordered a Root Beer Float. I was like, that would've been my order at his age too. I like how the Mister Softee Truck serves their Root Beer Floats: they give you the rest of the can of Root Beer they use to make the float. A couple kids needed a non-dairy alternative, and I was relieved that the Mister Softee Truck had some attractive options like Sno Cones or colorful frozen ice treats. Most of the kids enjoyed their treat right there next to the truck. Parents took photos of their kids and kids chased ice cream drips down their arms with their tongues, as kids do. All of the kids and their parents were super appreciative and thanked my wife and I for the party. We thanked them for coming. There were clearly a lot of happy kids on our street today, but I don't think any could've been happier than me. Thank you to my neighbors, and all the neighborhood kids Thank you Mister Softee! And most importantly, Thank You to my wonderful Wife for enthusiastically supporting my idea right from the start. Mikey C says: Oreo Swirl for me!
