I am not a regular here, but wanted to check it out as they are the main donut shop on Too Good to Go app in this area. The 2 women working the front were super friendly and welcoming. They tend to say hello to anyone who walks in. I was there around 10am, and the tables were filled with mainly senior adults. It looked like a great community hangout. This is a classic mom and pop donut shop from yesteryears in a small town. Not fancy, but not just a counter for takeout. People do seem to enjoy coming here to sit and chat, like people do at coffee shops. The donuts are more affordable compared to Krispy Kreme chain, averaging $2 or less for cake donuts. Fancier larger donuts are around $3. They also have croissants, muffins, and large selection of icy blended drinks. I got the donut holes with custard. They remind me little of Papa Beard filled mini popovers. The custard is tasty, but the donuts do get a little soggy, but still are tasty! Recommend this local shop! read more

Good Time Donut is a classic family vibes business with stellar donuts and old school feels. Love the location as there is plenty of parking and it's near the beach & harbor. Makes for the perfect easy breakfast treat after a nice run on the sand. The staff that work here seem really friendly and helpful. The shop was clean and welcoming. It was semi busy on a holiday weekend as to be expected. They have outdoor and indoor seating which is a plus if you want to sip on your coffee and enjoy a donut. The decor inside is fun and lots of little words of wisdoms and funny signs. They don't take themselves too seriously and it's nice to seem some nostalgia where not everything looks like a cookie cutter business. The prices were reasonable and clearly posted. The donuts are some of the better I've had in the 805 and the selection was impressive. I second what other reviews said, go with the donut holes. Also their chocolate chip donut with chocolate filling blows the major popular donut shop out of Camarillo out of the water (not going to name names but if you know you know). Definitely a delicious donut shop with tasty treats and happy vibes. Also don't sleep on their drinks, I got a vanilla frappe like drink here add whip cream and it was fabulous. The machine directs you to insert money FIRST, then will not complete the transaction. I inserted $20. Won't complete the transaction or refund money. When I approached the staff (very kindly), they refused to help and ran to the back of the shop.They refused to provide contact information for the owners. When you ask a friend to take a day trip with you to go wine tasting and their only request is a visit to Good Time Donut, you've got it real good! Of course, I agreed. I love Donuts! But this wasn't just any request to stop for a donut, it was a weekend warrior recommendation from Dr. Klapper! My friend not so secretly wished Dr. Klapper would be there when we visited but mentioned the time we'd probably arrive to Ventura wouldn't allow for a Klapper Vision encounter. We pulled into the parking lot and into a spot when my friend asked if I saw anyone around with their surfboard, sure enough sitting right in front of us in his truck with his board was Dr. Klapper. Now, I don't get excited about a lot of things or a lot of people but I was so excited my friend got to see him. We hopped out of the car and headed into the donut shop waving and saying Hello to him. Inside, all of the donuts looked scrumptious. My friend said the blueberry glaze was the recommended donut, so of course I ordered it and my other donut shop fav a glazed old fashioned. We were able to tell Sue Hi, as Dr. Klapper mentioned doing and see him once more in the parking lot to tell him he was the reason we were here. Most fun part of my Sunday. It's the little things, you know :) The donuts were delish! I enjoyed both of mine. Perfect little serendipitous moment to make me feel happy, that my friend who wanted to try the place was able to and to meet Dr Klapper and tell him how much we like the show. This place is part of the 2g2g (too good to go) site and we decided to give it a try the other day. The idea of 2g2g is to pay one price and get 3X your money's worth. So for this site, you pay $7 and you should be receiving $21 worth of goodies. We were very disappointed. They gave us 9 regular donuts for the $7. Not sure how this can be worth $21 unless their donuts are way over priced. We will not be doing them again under 2g2g, and now won't ever return since it is clear their donuts are way too expensive, since they believe 9 donuts are worth $21. THE BEST donut shop around !! Okay, I'll be honest I don't visit donut shops too often so I don't have much to go off. But I will say I do remember those sporadic donut runs before school, and the occasional church donut. I love donuts so I'm here for them all. However, everything about this donut shop is LEGIT. Let me start with the showstopper....the stuffed donut holes. Listen, even if you aren't the biggest fan of stuffed donuts, you won't be disappointed. They have raspberry jelly filled (my favorite) and a custard filled one as well. Just get them both and thank me later. Also a HUUGEE fan of the bacon egg & cheese bagel and/or croissant. I always add jalapeños and it NEVER disappoints. They have ham as an option as well. But I can't seem to break free from the shackles the bacon has on me. The old fashioned donuts are also a must try. My coworker is a HUGE fan of the coffee/hot cocoa combination. Apparently it tastes like a mocha from starbs but I wouldn't know because I strongly dislike chocolate and coffee. Call me crazy. I'd probably like it from here though to be honest. read more

A hidden gem, that I am so glad I found. Located in the Vons shopping center off of Harbor and Seaward is where you will find this cute donut/coffee/bakery shop. Alot of locals come here since it's been around for years. The customer service is very very welcoming. What's nice is they offer an assortment of different pastries, not juuuust donuts. Today I purchased a flaky cinnamon swirl(a crispy version of a cinnamon roll), a cream cheese croissant and a cheese Danish. All 3 items, totaled less than $5, bargain for goodness. The pastries were nice and fresh. Best thing about them is they are not too sweet. The filling is actual sweetened cream cheese versus custard cheese. I cannot wait to go back an try there other filled croissant flavors like blueberry and cheese also jalepeno and cheese AND ham and cheese croissants! Yum!
