I love going to Rok early on a Sunday morning -- no line, super peaceful, and there's free parking in the garage, which makes the whole experience even better. Their matcha duo is my absolute favorite. It's so creamy, rich, and perfectly balanced. The inside seating is really nice too, with a beautiful aesthetic that makes you want to linger a bit. They share restrooms with La Sung restaurant, which is good to know before you go. Such a great spot for a calm, delicious start to the day!

My friends and I came around 11:15 AM on Sunday and there was a small line out the door but not as bad as we were expecting! We have been wanting to try Rok forever and I can definitely see the hype. We ordered the duo matcha, matcha latte, hojicha latte, and a yuzu tea. The matcha and hojicha flavors were all super strong and the drink itself was super creamy. They might have one of the best hojicha lattes I've had in a while. It has a dark roasted flavor which I love. The only drawbacks were that you can't adjust the sweetness (the drinks were super sweet at default) and the size is super small for the price. We came from OC and are spoiled with super good matcha so we probably wouldn't go out of our way to come back but it was great to try it out! Had to try rok a couple of times to get my full opinion on their drinks. There's always a line when I'm there but thankfully they do have online ordering options if you're not trying to wait! I've gotten the matcha duo the first time and definitely can see why people who don't enjoy too much sweetener would like how earthy their matcha duo is. The second time I wanted to try their mango matcha, which I honestly enjoyed more for the slighter sweetness that the mango puree had that balanced out the matcha in the drink. I can't say much for the strawberry matcha since a friend had gotten that one but said it was interesting, and "not like how normally strawberry puree tastes". So I definitely would have to try that with an open mind lol. But overall it's solid if you're in the area for a matcha and not into the really sweetened drinks.

A little too sweet but otherwise good! Strong matcha flavor and well blended. Had to wait in a ~30 minute line on a Sunday. Drink came out fast.

Arrived at Rok around 1 pm on a Saturday and there was a 20-25 minute wait. We ordered the strawberry matcha duo and the matcha duo. The strawberry matcha duo was a bit too sweet for me. It tasted mainly like straight strawberry with a lot of syrup. It overpowered the matcha. The matcha duo, on the other hand, tasted much better and you can taste more of the matcha flavor. The matcha flavor is there, but not super strong. The matcha duo tasted more balanced than the strawberry one. Service was excellent. The cashier was kind and bubbly. While we were waiting inside, there was a cute little Photo Booth where you can take pictures and it'll print out your photo on receipt paper! There is some seating inside but considering how popular it is, I would say it gets packed and can be difficult to find seating. There is valet parking for $2 for 90 minutes in the back. You can also try to find street parking but it's difficult since it is located in a traffic heavy area. I wouldn't say Rok is the best matcha I've ever had. There's definitely better, but it was worth a try to see what the hype is about.

Pretty crowded inside and line but fast service. Expect no seating inside and pretty tight space. Everyone seems to get the matcha. The matcha is okay, decent flavor (not super strong but not astringent/bitter, and not too sweet. The fruit jams are pretty strong and sweet so if possible reduce the sugar or else youll need the ice to melt. I also tried the dubai chewy cookies which were on the pricier side but pretty packed with a prominent pistachio flavor. The strawberry matcha had a nice strawberry tart bite but overall the matcha part of it is overpowered by the sugar. I think its a decent matcha and has more variety than stagger.

OMG.. dont think just get.. We decided to go on an adventure today but the weather was like NOPE. Raining and flooding but we got to ROK and wowww so worth it We both got the double matcha and it was soooooo thickkk and the flavor was delicious. We're from OC and they have a lot of matcha spots down there and I would say this might top all of them... I would say comparable to Taty's and Airoma Double Matcha We decided to have breakfast and matcha hop and I would say out of the 3 spots we went to today... ROK was the best!!!! GET IT and chill out in their shop and yap

I came to rok matcha on a Saturday afternoon and the line was LONG. This place is super popular. I went for their signature - matcha duo. Holy moly - they were right... this is the best matcha ever. This was definitely worth the 40 min wait. It was perfectly sweet, but strong. I wish the cup was bigger! I also got the matcha strawberry Dubai chewy cookie and I dare say it's better than the original. Perfect amount of crunch and flavor! I wish I lived closer.

Don't get me wrong, I love matcha and this place is definitely one of the better matcha spots around here. Tea Masters Matcha Cafe in Little Tokyo is still the GOAT when it comes to matcha though and I'd die on that hill. I love that the matcha here is strong and sweet like it's supposed to be. The drinks are actually really good and I totally get why people hype this place up. However, the 1 hour wait does not do it justice. I'm sorry man but I'd never come back here again unless the wait was less than 20 minutes. I was nearby after some networking event in Los Angeles and decided to give it a try since I was in the area. It was 2 PM and this place was still packed like sardines. Maybe I was extra annoyed because I had a little too much to drink earlier, but I seriously did not understand why there were so many college kids here getting matcha. Like do you even like matcha or are you just here because it's trendy and you want to give off the illusion that you're hot and have money? It's the same shit Erewhon is doing with the $20 smoothies, and before Erewhon it was Whole Foods too. People want the vibe and the idea of fitting in. The matcha itself is solid, but no drink is worth standing around for an hour+.

Drinks were good of course nothing amazing in comparison to the LA matcha scene, it was honesty very sweet. We've had multiple drinks here and I'd recommend to get everything lightly sweetened even if you like sweet drinks, the service was only ok actually they weren't really friendly or smiley but they did their job so I think that's enough. Ambiance was cute and clean.

Heard so much about this place and finally came in to try myself! Took one of the most popular items Matcha Duo and guys, fell in love with it!! Totally worth all the drive and wait. So delicious! That cloud is something else! It's cute and cozy, with nice vibes inside! Street parking is a possibility, no wifi is a hammer, but matcha is great! New fave spot

Matcha duo 50% sweet with regular milk is the way to go. The matcha foam was potent, creamy and delicious. The color is a deeper green than Stagger. Stagger might be a little sweeter, but both very good matcha drinks. Both very similar in terms of matcha flavor and creaminess. Rock might be a little richer in matcha flavor. I love both! I can't choose.

I'm not one to be venture out of a basic iced latte, but I knew I had to go for one of their seasonals when they had black sesame - unfortunately sold out! (Even at 11am... must be popular!) Somehow, some way, I had the privilege of trying their iced oat latte with black sesame foam. There was everything to like about this drink from the perfectly bold espresso - a good balance of nutty but toasty - but also a sesame cream foam. After getting the drinks, there is a quiet space to sit around and lounge about. Have a book or magazine? The couch is perfect. Have work to do? There's small tables in the hallway or even a large table and desk inside the private room. Comfortably enough, the ambiance itself is best described as open arms exclaiming "Welcome Home!" almost like a friend or neighbor is inviting you to their apartment for a cup of coffee. Wi-Fi and outlets are definitely available here. The only thing to bring to reach a flow state is your own set of noise cancelling earbuds. The walls and doors are indeed paper thin, and the traffic from the street does have a way of echoing and rumbling these walls. Other than that, though, my only bittersweet feeling with sharing this glowing review of Espresso Social Club is that finding space to work on future visits might now be a bit more competitive.
