I love independently-owned coffee shops, both big and small and Dam Good Coffee is a great neighborhood shop! It is located in a small little plaza, around the corner from Sonoratown. There isn't many tables to sit and enjoy your beverage and I have always grabbed my order to go. I have come here a dozen times and I always order the same thing: honey vanilla iced latte and an ube donut. I intend to try more on the menu and would order something if my gut tells me to but I tend to stick to the tried and true. You can taste the espresso and the honey! Service has always been very friendly and efficient. I notice that from time to time, they would have an event, where vendors are set up outside. We waited for 10 minutes while he was talking to a lady friend, and he served us cappuccino instead of a macchiato. Cute coffee spot. If you come at a good time you can find parking up front. Drinks were good and coffee cake was huge, however we waited a long time for our croissant and coffee cake because the lady at the counter forgot. We thought the whole time they were both getting warmed up but there weren't. Very interesting. We ended up going home and warming both up which it all turned out fine. There is some seating outside but can fill up quickly. Not really a place where you can bring your laptop and get work done. Cute aesthetic. Found this place on for by accident (the sign is blocked by a plant). Very cozy spot! Friendly service. Greeted by staff and fellow guests alike. Lots of folks stopping by with their dogs. There are outdoor seats and an awning, and a counter. Inside is the pastry case and the whole coffee setup. I had a hot chai latte (sweetened to my specifications perfectly) and a croissant. We woke up and wanted to explore a new coffee place. It's great we found Dam Good coffee. It's a cute little coffee shop. The owner was very welcoming. The menu has a great variety of coffee and tea. There were some bakeries that looked delish. I had the matcha latte and he had the hazelnut latte. The first sip was amazingly good, good roast with a smooth finish. The owner jokingly asked if we wanted to add love to the coffee I responded doubled the love. We shared a piece of coffee cake. Typically coffee cake could be a little crumbly and dry. Not this one. We met the owner, Josh, and we had a fun and laid back conversation. We ordered Hot White Mocha Latte and Hot Honey Vanilla Latte. My husband ordered a croissant, and I had the most delicious Ube donut. Okay, this place is soooo cute, I can't take it. The Latte's were made so perfect, and OMG, the Ube donut was a new experience that I am now hooked on. The music is so nice. It is cozy and reminds us of being in Carmel, CA. Generally I am a "black coffee, no cream, no sugar" type of coffee drinker but given the extensive menu options of specialty drinks, I decided to switch it up and try the Dam Good Latte (Hot). The blend of matcha, chai, honey, and caramel (brewed with oat milk) lived up to its name! The barista Omari was welcoming, polite, and efficient. The atmosphere of the shop is for the culture, with good vibes, and good tunes. The fact that it's a Black owned coffee business made the experience even that much more rewarding. Wonderful coffee and service. Came by on a Sunday and was surprised it was quiet and mostly empty. The shop is a little "shack" with no seating insbut there are a few seating options outside as well as a small photo wall with neon sign. The guy we talked to (assuming he's the owner but didn't catch his name) was immediately warm and friendly but not too chatty. We got the dam good latte, a tea, and candy grapes by ddz treatz. Everything was great. I usually opt for a vanilla latte but something told me to step out of my comfort zone and get the dam good latte which has matcha powder, espresso, caramel, white chocolate and maybe something else I'm forgetting. It was sweet and indulgent without feeling too much like a dessert. The coffee flavor worked well and it was a tasty drink. I usually take a few sips of my drink and then toss it but I drank all of this drink. Will definitely come back and refer to others. read more
