Just okay. My steak was teeny tiny, and dry. And the vegetables were not cooked all the way through.

My Mom had come here with my 4 year old on a Tuesday and they said it was good and great service. So my family of 4 and my Mom came on Saturday and wow it was packed. We walked in stood there no one said a word to us, no sign saying seat yourself. The tables that were empty were not bused yet, so we waited and waited, there is another door people can come in from and people did and sat themselves so we just assumed that's what you were suppose to do. So first impressions weren't great. My husband ordered the Hawaiian omelet, my Mom and I split the Italian omelet with biscuits and gravy. My two daughters had the mickey mouse pancakes with bacon and one with sausage. When my Mom and daughter came before my Mom had ordered the biscuits and gravy and brought some home and we had the leftovers for dinner. I was so impressed with how delicious the homemade biscuits were and how yummy the gravy was I was anxious to eat it again. We all really enjoyed our meal but still bummed at the customer service. But now that we know we seat ourself, it may be better next time. read more

If you're in the market for an inexpensive and ENORMOUS "greasy spoon" breakfast, this is the place! When traveling home from Newport to Seattle we stopped here for a quick brekkie. The parking lot was packed so we figured that was a good sign. For $8 I was served a plate with four strips of meaty good quality bacon, two over-medium eggs cooked perfectly and a mound of almost crunch enough hash-browns. When asked what kind of "toast" I wanted, biscuit was an option so I opted for that. THEN I was asked if I wanted gravy on the hashbrowns or biscuit - so I took it for the biscuit. I was brought a second plate with an ENOURMOUS fluffy (but a bit too sweet) biscuit swimming in sausage gravy. ZOMG! I could only eat 1/3 of what I was served but I was brought a to-go box without having to ask. My honey had a pretty great Denver omelet with lots of fresh veggies cooked al dente instead of typical diner soggy. The food in here will KILL YOU and quite possibly put you into a food coma (I had a hard time driving in the sunny car after such a meal) but this is "comfort breakfast" at it's greatest. P.S. The staff was great too. Drinks kept full, timing was fabulous. Wish they had more booths though. Breakfast like this should be eaten in a booth, not at a table. :-) read more

Not fancy or anything that would appear on a Guy Fieri show, however, the service is consistently good, the food in consistently good, and the atmosphere is somewhere you and your buddies would want to meet after a long day of fishing or working on your car. After reading the reviews we decided to take our family to Roger's. Did not disappoint. We loved all the choices for breakfast and we totally enjoyed our selections. Country Fried Steak, Eggs, Hashbrowns and Biscuits were incredible (as per my husband). Mom had the beautiful Strawberry Waffle. I enjoyed the Green Diced Chile and Jack Cheese Omelet ( had to bring half the meal home). My sis in law had Eggs and Bacon...so good! The servings are more than generous and it was enjoyed by all! We all appreciated the great customer service and the attention provided by the servers. BTW... seat yourself when you arrive. We missed the sign our 1st visit. We went back for lunch and it was really good. Fair pricing and you can order meals to go. The ambiance and interior decor could be better hence the 4 stars. Great food and service! read more

By far the best eggs benedict I've had bar none. This is based on the fact that the ham was like half the size of the plate and 1/4" think. OMG it was great and had awesome hollandaise sauce and a huge pile of hashbrowns. All of that for $9.75. We'll definitely be going back next we are in Albany read more

This has become our favorite breakfast stop when in the valley. Rogers is just good old fashioned food at good prices. There's nothing fancy about the place, but don't let that keep you from going there! This time I ordered a piece of marionberry pie; oh my goodness! I would give this place no stars if that rating was offered. But I probably brought it on myself - I said I wanted my bacon crispy - not the kind with places in it where the fat was still soft. I also asked for my hashbrowns to be crispy. The bacon was done; it was cremated. The hashbrowns were black and hard. I couldn't cut them with a knife. We ate the eggs, they were done just fine. I ate a few of the inside of my hashbrowns and my English muffin. I have never seen my husband leave bacon on his plate - well, he did here! The waitress wasn't rude, she came to our table once after she brought the food and asked my husband if he wanted more coffee. I would never, never recommend this restaurant. If you have to eat there, better not ask for any changes in the preparation of your food! read more

Service was prompt and pleasant! I popped in at around 0530 (I live a block and a half away) for breakfast, wanting to try it out. They make a mean omelet, with the eggs being STUFFED with meat and cheese. There was no skimping here. They serve with hashed browns and toast, or a pair of pancakes. The pancakes were nice and thick and fluffy, served with a small 'pitcher' of hot syrup. I was rightly impressed. This is a place I will be returning to for hot breakfasts from this point on. I have lived within a scant few blocks of the establishment for months now, and hadn't realized that this place even served breakfast. It wasn't crowded, but there were a good number of folks there. It felt like a good country breakfast diner, very cozy and warm (I was surprised at how warm it was, on New Year's Eve). I recommend giving Roger's Restaurant a try. read more

This place is meh at best. Bland food, nothing special. I'd rather stick to being a loyal customer of Elmer's. I had the taco eggs and it just tasted like unseasoned chopped meat with eggs. The reason I'm giving it three stars instead of two is my wife claims she enjoyed it and the staff was friendly. Bottom line I'll take my appetite else where. read more

This is a great example of a local breakfast joint. Friendly service and good home style cooking. I had bacon, hash browns and eggs (over medium). Eggs were perfect, bacon was crispy, thick and well-flavored. Pancakes were dinner plate size and tender. A lot of restaurants these days use artificial syrup that has no flavor. Whatever Rogers uses is tasty, with good maple flavor. My dad had the pancake special with egg and bacon. He approved. I'd stop by again. Tuesday morning at 8:00am and a lot of locals. Need to challenge owners to fix decor and have some pride in the resturant. Albany needs a good breakfast joint that isn't 17.00 for a stuffed French toast (sorry original breakfast ) and this is Rogers chance to make some great food. Use some great ingredients and cook for the new trend which is people who want to enjoy the food experience and the look is a important part of that experience. The decor is important too. I have never been here for dinner, but love the breakfasts and lunches. I stopped by two days ago when I was monster hungry, didn't have much in the fridge to cook for breakfast and just needed to get out of the house. The special of the day was chicken friend steak, eggs, hashbrowns, biscuits and coffee, all for only $7.95. They even let me have a generous amount of their spectacular sausage gravy. Ive been eating breakfast here for a decade......best breakfast in Albany. Period. Kind of greasy and gravy is optional on every thing. Always busy on week ends as this place is really popular.......cause the food freaking rocks!!!!! Ice cold milk complements the savory sausage and just right hash browns. Today was our first visit to Rogers and we were pleasantly surprised. It was a crazy morning due to the hot air balloon launch and it was only 8 am. The joint was busy but the waitresses were excellent and cheerful. The food was hot and yummy and the best chicken fried steak in the area. My only criticism is that on busy day like today they should have had a seating list since though we had been waiting we realized that there was another door that people were coming through and grabbing tables. Ad place to eat only busy do to limited restaurants in the area. Food or error cooked when complained ask to leave we were told if we don't like it go some were else. When asked how can they luster tell us that doesn't us as a just matter the manager says we are busy losing you as a guest won't effect our sales and if people don't like the way we cook they can just stay away. Not telling you were to spend your money eyes but I will never return. It's amazing complain about food manager kicks my family out he just personally attacked me on this site told me he is glad he booted me and I need to shower before going.out in public. If their can opener ever breaks, these guys are in deep trouble. i had the Chili burger- canned. My wife had the liver and onions. Canned gravy and processed mashed potatoes. The liver was sliced so thin, less than 1/4" it cooked into leather and she couldn't eat it. The only reason they get 2 stars is - one - it's clean- no worries there, Second star for service- the server was friendly and attentive- also she took the liver off the bill when she saw it didn't get eaten. read more
