Food was provactive in description but all of it arrived lukewarm, which lost a star for me. Stand out dish was the homemade pop tart, and the mouth watering whipped cream it was served with. It made me chuckle when my family called it our "breakfast appetizer" - as the eight of us shared that single tart! Most of our dishes were colorful, and pleasing to the eye, except for the lentil patty plate, which appeared to be clinically sad, when compared to the array of color and festive plating of the other dishes. The salmon hash plate tasted exactly as described, and was delicious but I'd prefer a salmon benedict for a similar flavor and prettier plating. My eggs benedict was a little skimpy on the Hollandaise but was very yummy. Fried chicken sando was a bit burned. Our service was very well-done. The environment was beautiful, and so interesting to be inside a former horse paddock - maybe? It was the only brunch game open on a Sunday, and it is situated next to a river walk, so a meal here would be a nice Sunday morning treat and visit. Parking is free on Sundays! It appears to be a popular place, so parties over 4 should make a reservation.

French toast

I came here on a Sunday morning around 11:15 am and we were seated closer to 12 so there was a bit of a wait but honestly it was worth it. My boyfriend got the French toast (17$) and he loved it despite being a picky eater. It was delicious and such a large portion. The whip cream on top was soo good. Probably the best I have ever had. The eggs and biscuit were also very good and perfectly cooked. Our server was very friendly and accommodating and the food came out quickly. Everyone was very nice here. Prices weren't bad either. Coffee was great too (4.50$). Overall, I would definitely recommend coming here for brunch and if there is a line stick it out because the wait is worth it.

Decided to try this place out before leaving town. It has a very homey feel to it as you walk in and the food all looks pretty. The server was friendly and prompt, but for the food looking good it just did not deliver on the taste. There were a total of 6 of us and out of 5 of us that ordered some sort of egg dish(4 of them being poached eggs), not one was cooked correctly. All were overcooked. One of the people even ordered over easy eggs which were also over hard. The bloody Mary's looked delicious but deliver no flavor. My wife's smoked salmon hash was VERY fishy. I love seafood and it was even too fishy for me. The Shrimp Benedict was ok, I feel like the whole flavor profile would have changed it the eggs were runny, but it just turned out to be all around dry. The one bright spot, we ordered the tropical bowl and that alone was very delicious..that and the ice-t. We even ordered a couple sides of bacon requesting them not crunchy and those were crispy as well...

Really great breakfast spot in Corvallis. Meal options were elevated compared to other traditional spots and the food was outstanding. I loved the sustainable interior as well and our waitress was amazing. Highly recommend.

We were driving through and decided to try this place even though the reviews were not great. We loved the quaint feel of this place and the food was good, although none of us felt we had anything craveable that would make us want to return. Service was very slow and we felt our waitress wasn't really listening to our requests. We were satisfied, but won't be back.

The standard breakfast. Sausage and potatoes were fantastic.

Only breakfast place that opens early in Corvallis during the week days. The service was excellent and it was charming ambience. The food was pretty good. I ordered the standard breakfast and the potatoes were fantastic. We also ordered the berries Romanoff. Overall decent except the biscuit was really dry. The coffee was decent. I judge a lot of breakfast places by how good the coffee is. It tasted like your standard restaurant coffee, nothing exciting. Overall, a good place to get breakfast in Corvallis.

Waiter wasn't very pleasant, we ordered our food and took well over 45 minutes. We were with family so didn't mind minus the fact we were trying to head out relatively quickly. I got my food and the egg was nowhere near over medium. Very over hard, gray yolk. The patty I had was nasty and shouldn't be served with breakfast. We asked for a to go box and watched our server attend to all other tables but because we paid we were out of mind. Corvallis is running out of breakfast spots .

Mimosas!

Odd bird cafe is a decent brunch option in downtown Corvallis. With a group of four, we were able to get seated in 5 minutes, even without a reservation on a Saturday morning. Our server was friendly and attentive. The mimosas were solid and the French toast bites were addicting. The marinated tomato benny, however, was a bit dry and definitely needed more sauce. I was also given a huge portion of insanely large home fries, which I wish were smaller to allow for easier eating and optimal crispy texture.

I have to start by saying I work for Janae as Odd Bird's photographer and social media manager, but this isn't just a plug--I genuinely love this place. As I sit here on Thanksgiving writing a somewhat lackluster review for another restaurant, I feel compelled to share how much I truly enjoy Odd Bird. The food is hands down some of the best breakfast I've ever had. Honestly, there are very few places I consider better for brunch. The drink menu is as varied as it is tasty, with refreshing citrus-based cocktails and delicious coffee-infused ones. But let's talk about the French toast--without a doubt, it's the best I've ever had. And it's not just great food; it's thoughtful, smart, and perfectly executed. Janae has an amazing, caring staff who always make you feel welcome, ensuring every visit is a memorable one that'll keep you coming back. If you're on the hunt for your next breakfast spot, look no further. Still need convincing? My mom, a self-proclaimed brunch expert, drives an hour every other week just to eat at Odd Bird. That's all the proof you need.

Eggs benny ! Added tomato and avocado to it for $$

Pop tart!

Was recommended this place by family friends and definitely will pass it on! There are so many great choices for breakfast & lunch; it was hard to choose!! The servers were very attentive and gave great suggestions!! I had the BLT which had amazzzzzzing bacon and sourdough bread that's made literally next door!! The pop tart was delicious and was better than the nostalgic treat. Great spot when staying in Corvallis!! GO BEAVS

Re-purposed building on the river in Corvallis. Pretty cool vibe.
Stacie S.

A unique building in downtown Corvallis right by the river. Unique offerings on the menu include a homemade pop tart of a different flavor each day. Classics of eggs Benedict three ways and the classic breakfast with choices. Nice waitstaff, reasonable prices, with a slow pace. Laid back atmosphere and a slower pace. Don't come here if you're in a hurry.

Rainy Day, Great Bar Seat, and One Memorable Meal…read more It was a cold, rainy Oregon afternoon when I stumbled into Castor, and I'm glad I did. There happened to be one open seat at the bar, which is my favorite place to dine when traveling. Sitting at the bar lets you talk story with the bartender, learn the menu, and watch the cocktails come together. If you're eating alone, I highly recommend grabbing a seat here. The bartender was friendly, easy to talk with, and clearly knew both the menu and the craft behind the bar. One thing that stood out right away was their use of fresh local ingredients, which really shows up in the flavor of the dishes and drinks. I started with the Golden Manhattan, made with a pecan-infused bourbon that was fantastic. It had a rich, slightly nutty flavor with warm vanilla notes and just the right touch of sweetness. Smooth, balanced, and a great way to kick off the meal. Alongside that I ordered the chorizo clam chowder, which brought a creamy base with just the right amount of spice from the chorizo. Comfort food with a little personality. For dinner I switched gears and ordered the Creole Sour. This one really stood out. Bright citrus up front, a smooth bourbon backbone, and a subtle spice note that tied perfectly into the Creole theme. It had that classic sour balance, tart, slightly sweet, and refreshing without overpowering the drink. Dinner was the gumbo with hot bread and butter, and it delivered. Deep flavor, a nice slow warmth from the spice, and hearty enough to make the rainy Oregon weather feel like part of the experience. To finish things off I kept it simple with a neat pour of Ben Holladay, which made for the perfect nightcap. The staff were welcoming and relaxed, which made the whole experience feel easy and comfortable. This is the kind of place that works whether you're dining solo, meeting friends, out with someone special, or grabbing dinner with a group. The price point landed right where it should be for the quality of food, cocktails, and service. If you're in Corvallis and can grab a seat at the bar at Castor, take it. Order a cocktail, settle in, and enjoy the ride. It turned a rainy afternoon into one heck of a meal.

I always enjoy my latte here. I've also tried out their sweet and creamy cold brew (a little too sweet but as a treat it was great!) and their cortado which are both solid. My go to dish is usually the acai bowl. Plenty of textures, flavors, and a good amount of sour and sweet that makes it's perfectly balanced. The only downside is that the spoons that are provided are a little big for the bowl that you are given, so you are bound to spill a little bit. The Mexican bowl is okay, but not quite my personal preference since there is more of a curry taste to it. Overall come and give Bodhi a try!

Though busy on a Wednesday afternoon (it was the day before Thanksgiving after all), we found a table and had a great meal. I loved my latte and biscuits and gravy! Everything was tastefully presented and had wonderful flavors. The portion sizes aren't too big, so don't expect a huge meal. I found the biscuits and gravy to be filling for a brunch, but someone with a bigger appetite might want to opt for something more substantial. The staff did a great job getting many orders out in a fairly short amount of time, and based on my meal, they weren't sacrificing quality in the process. The cafe norms are pretty standard for a seat-yourself cafe where you order at the counter, pick up your food at the counter, and bus your own table. I found Bodhi Cafe and Bakery to be exactly what I needed, and look forward to returning.

A full-blown masterpiece. This isn't your average slice of cheesecake. What Craves serves is a velvety, rich, and luxuriously whipped creation perched atop pillowy-soft brioche toast that's lightly crisped to perfection. It's drizzled in a deep marionberry reduction that strikes the perfect balance between tart and sweet, and topped with plump, juicy blackberries that taste like they were picked fresh that morning. Add in the subtle crunch of a graham cracker crumble dusted over the whole plate, and you've got a dessert that's indulgent, elegant, and dangerously addictive. The texture contrast between the creamy cheesecake filling, the light toast, and the rich berry drizzle is unforgettable. It's like French toast met cheesecake, fell in love, and had a baby--with Oregon marionberries blessing the union. Whether you're a local or just passing through Corvallis, make Craves your dessert destination. I'll be coming back for another round (or three) of this marionberry magic. Bravo to the team--this place is a sweet tooth's dream!
