STAY AWAY!!! FRAUDERS!!! DISHONEST!!! CUSTOMER ABUSE!!!! I wished I read other reviews before walking in here. Why you dont want to buy from here? They have a "we dont need you" attitude and dont care about pissing you off. We knew the exact car we wanted and called around. Driving to Houston or Dallas would have saved us $1500. Called sales person here and forward other dealers invoice to see if they would match, they said "YES", told me to drive in. We drove in 40 mins from our house. ("1st error") When we got there, the sales person quoted the price $1500 more than the match price we agreed upon. Apparently they do not understand "we will match" concept. Left decided to go to Dallas, but next day wanted to see if they could meet us in the middle to save us time. They agreed. Come in 2nd time to pick up car, quick and easy right... NO!!! ("2nd error") When we got the paperwork, the numbers did not look right. They tried to sneak in an extra $2,600. They spent over 2 hours trying to convince me the numbers were right, even brought in a 2nd finance person. On the invoice, they did not itemize what we were charged with. After 2 hours, they were pushing our patience and we decided to leave. They stopped us and went to the back, came back and said, sorry, we forgot to apply your 2K rebate. Ok, whatever, sat back down, once again, numbers did not add up. Again, pushed our patience. ("3rd error") This time the tried to sneak in a $600 RB-Mazda rewards club membership we NEVER asked for or was even told about. Finally over right? NO! 4th "error" We purchased extended warantee, when we got the paperwork, it said $100 deductible. We told them, you never told us about that, now I'm really pissed. The corrected it, finance lady even initialized it and put $0. When she printed a copy, (original on ledger paper) she left out the detail part stating $0. We had to came back the next day to ask her for the top part. I'm sure it was 'accidental'. But I told my wife that night, I know they going to put in the system with $100. 5th "error" We finally got our warantee cards in the mail, it clearly shows $100 deductible. I've email communicate with a Store GM and a finance person, both ignored me after initial replay saying they would look into it. I've decided its not worth the hassle and have told all my family and friends to make the drive to San Marcos or surrounding cities if they must buy a Mazda. I personally will not anymore. When we walked in after agreeing on the price, we were not treated well. It was very mater of fact transaction with no customer courtesy. If a business is unhappy about a transaction, they can simply say "no deal". RB did not. They wanted to make us miserable, the entire staff from finance to sales as you can see they were clumping together and talking about us, even our own sales person. They told us while we were there they were the first Mazda dealership in US. I dont know if its true, but they have an arrogance about themselves because they own Austin and have a monopoly. You WILL get better customer service and price in surrounding cities. Dont waste your time here. Our experience was miserable. My family will stick with Honda and Toyota. This was a big mistake we wont make again. I do plan on sending my experience to HQ. I am in disbelief in this day and age of internet reviews that they would do something like this. Arrogance. As stated, we will never buy Mazda again! Also, they are still on 100% paper. My experience with Honda, Toyota, Nissan and Dodge is they are all on mostly POS software systems to make the transaction smoother and more TRANSPARENT to the customer, harder to sneak stuff in. Just terrible, I came in with all of my documents when it was time to get to business showing them what I wanted. They then proceeded to tell me. When I proceeded to tell them I didn't want what I wanted made me get a co-signer after I said I didn't want to do so. Then after I got one AND proof of income it was still a problem. NEVER AGAIN. Absolute worst place to deal with. Customer service is atrocious and the vehicle is junk. Mazda refuses to give a recall for cx5 electrical issues. It's called " ghost touch". ( Google it) my screen changes settings and radio stations all by itself, constantly, while driving. On top of that, I have more electrical problems which caused my cx5 to not start. I will Absolutely never buy from Mazda again. Also, their customer service agents are terrible & rude. Negative 5 STARS. Thousands of people have had this same experience with their cx5. Just to be clear we were pleased with the sales person Stan but NOT with Roger Beasley Mazda-Central. Promises NOT kept at time of purchase- Unethical because we left the vehicle with Roger Beasley for a week while we were out of town to be able to have the paint fixed as we were told. I called to advise the finance department about a letter received. Unprofessional finance person Chris stated it's was Byron's fault not his he was fairly new and didn't know anything (blaming another co-worker Really??)-Roger Beasley mails out false denied credit letter Chris said "it was a mistake and just throw it away" Really?? This is MY credit you're talking about here. It says specifically in the letter "to contact Roger Beasley finance department within 90days. On Oct 30th when I requested a partial amount to be on a loan I asked specifically to use my CU and Byron in finance said that "my CU did not answer the phone" so they used another CU at 4.50% rate. In Nov I went to my CU to check why they didn't answer the phone and my CU showed me that I was approved on the same day Oct 30th at the time that I asked for a loan and that I was Approved at 2.45% rate. I was so frustrated I paid off the vehicle immediately in November and I called Roger Beasley to let them know I paid it off. Five weeks later in Dec I checked on the tile with the CU that the loan was with and they said "Roger Beasley never sent the paperwork into the DMV" I called and and explained to Roger Beasley finance department that the vehicle was paid off and I needed my title. I left messages for the finance department several times throughout Dec without a return call. In Jan I spoke to the sales manager because my salesperson was off that day. He said Chris' boss would give me a call. I did not receive a call that I know of and there was no message left on my phone. Finally in Jan I physically went to Roger Beasley and met with Andrew he said, it wasn't his department but I was talking with too many people. I never got a call back because it was "an Accounting department issue not Finance department issue" and said the DMV sent the title paperwork back due to "tax mistake on information sent in." Roger Beasley resubmitted to the DMV for a title on Jan 2 and I am still waiting on my title. As for The Roger Beasley bad credit report letter.... it will drop off my credit report Nov 2020 (1year after issue date) for a "mistake letter sent in the mail" I cannot dispute the letter because I asked for a loan through Roger Beasley. I am highly recommending anyone purchasing a vehicle from Roger Beasley-Central to get their own loan with there own bank or CU and not to be pushed into signing paperwork thinking your CU didn't answer the phone. As for the vehicle we are pleased but intend to get it serviced elsewhere. read more

After everything I've had to deal with, trying multiple times to get in contact with a manager, a negative followup review AND a 1 star review on Yelp they still have yet to get back to me and try to fix this. The best they can do is claim I modded the car (which is the reason warranty had an issue covering it), when I have pictures taken by and in front of the dealership of the car the way it sits. I'm at a loss for words to be honest. So I will stick by original review along with posting pictures of my modded car the way it was purchased and in the same condition they sold me a warranty. The original review: I bought my car used from Mazda Central, along with the 2 year warranty. A few months after purchase I start having some suspension noise, and take it up to the Georgetown location to have it looked at. After the getting the run around they offer me a free A/C service just to get me out of the shop (they didn't want to work on my car. Too many complaints, and they didn't want to hassle with the warranty company. This is what they told me). A couple weeks later the suspension noise continues, so I set an appointment and bring it in FIRST THING in the morning on Monday. A WEEK LATER I finally get my car back for ONE TIE ROD replacement and an oil change (I think it was Saturday before I picked my car up). This was frustrating enough, but they didn't even fix the ONE complaint that I went in for. But I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on this one. Fast forward a couple months, ~2000 miles later my oil is black and I decide to change it. I put the car on the lift at the dealership I work at, get everything ready, only to find that the oil drain plug is TORQUED on. To the point where after busting my knuckles from breaking the plug loose, I had to pry and cut the drain plug washer off because it was so crushed against the drain plug. Keep in mind the only way this could happen is if they took an impact to the drain plug when a simple 90°-180° turn on a ratchet would suffice. This is an unacceptable way to treat a customer/car that purchased their vehicle from you. Not only that, but the multiple times I tried to contact a manager and the negative followup review I left was unanswered. I would expect this negligence from an oil change from a jiffy lube, but not from a trained Mazda technician from MAZDA CENTRAL in AUSTIN. I don't know if they treat their customers that buy new cars this way, but if you value your time, money, and your property I would recommend NOT buying a car or servicing your Mazda from not only this Mazda dealer, but from Roger Beasley in general. You're better off going to a jiffy lube. I am extremely disappointed in my experience, and I can assure you I wont even touch this place with a 10 foot pole if I can help it. read more

Was charged 40 bucks for 2 replacement bolts and a nut that costs 4 dollars at Fastenal. THIS is how Roger Beasley treats it's long time customers....by literally sticking their hands in your pockets and stealing from you. Years ago the service center BROKE ALL the studs on ALL my wheels and forced me to get angry with them just for them to fix it. When you point out these things they just shrug their shoulders and say "I don't know what to tell you". Bottom line, Mazda just lost a customer due to ripping me off for 40 dollars on bolts. That is pretty pathetic, shameful and just sorry business practice. You'd be a moron to buy a car here. read more

I chose to stick around - snacks, coffee, bottled water, TV, free Wi-Fi, and plenty of comfortable seating in their customer waiting lounge. I found a beautiful 2013 Honda CRV at Roger Beasley Mazda Central on March 8, 2024. The sales man was Garret Bemer, and he could not have been more gracious and helpful. When I talked with him, I ask if I had a few days that I could change my mind, if I found something wrong with the car. He immediately said the car had passed inspection, and that if I found something, he would take care of it. The next day as I drove my beautiful new car, I discovered a shimmy in the transmission as I accelerated from 25 to 40 mph. I did some research and discover that there were two soft recalls concerning this problem. I took my car to San Marcos Honda and they told me the recall expired at 80,000 miles, which makes perfect sense to me..... I got in touch with Garret Bemer, (who had obviously slept since I bought my car) and he told me I was twisting his words and he did not say that. I called the Used Car Manager at Beasley and he told me I had signed twice that the car came "as is" with no repairs. I went back to the volume of papers I "INITIALED" that night and was surprised to see that I had indeed "initialed" where there was no warranty on my beautiful new car. What had been a beautiful experience buying my car turned into a nightmare with me facing expensive transmission repairs on my beautiful new car. Sadly it was the typical experience I have come to expect upon purchasing a car from a dealership. read more

Service department honesty? My number one consideration with automotive service is trust. I must rely on the service provider to give me an honest assessment of what is going on with my automobile and the services that it requires, so that it stays in excellent shape and we head off any potential issues with my car. Unfortunately, I did not get off on the right foot with the Mazda service at Roger Beasley. I have a 2013 Mazda CX-9 that I bought new 6 years ago and have serviced regularly at the Mazda dealer where I bought the car. I recently moved to Austin and took my car into Roger Beasley for an oil change this morning, as my intent was to stick with certified Mazda service. The service technician informed me that I required synthetic oil, which I know for a fact know that it does not require. I know this because I am familiar with the car, have had it serviced regularly since I bought it, and because it states both in the manual and ON THE OIL CAP that it only requires conventional oil. I pushed back on him repeatedly before he indicated that they only use synthetic oil at Roger Beasley Mazda. If that's the case, then state that up front and don't try to convince me that my car REQUIRES synthetic oil, which costs $65 for the service. Furthermore, if an automotive service provider only carries synthetic oil when cars from that manufacturer suggest conventional oil, then I would also question whether their margins are more important than customer satisfaction. Needless to say, I ended up getting my car serviced at Lamb's Automotive instead, where a conventional oil change was $25.99, and where we have already had other positive experiences with my wife's car. read more

I had possibly the best customer support experience in my life today at this dealership. My Mazda3 was in there to replace a head lamp kit, and had a communication breakdown with them about my coverage. I was experiencing sticker shock and confusion about my bill, and was pretty hard on the agent servicing my ticket. The new GM of the dealership - Donnie Wetsel - walked out and did what every person wishes their boss would do: he rescued her and very warmly invited me into his office. He then reviewed every aspect of the interaction, from text messages, phone calls, etc leading up to the dispute. He was firm yet fair, showing me where I had dropped the ball, and owning up to where they had done so. He was the epitome of professional, kind, respectful, but most of all, took accountability for where they had fallen short. Made it easy for me to own where I fell short, and I left there feeling lucky to be a customer. Donnie knocked off a couple of things to help soothe my sticker shock, and treated me like a decent human being. I'm completely sold on this place and feel good about being a loyal customer. Always a pleasant service experience here no matter what service advisor helps me. I have a 2012 Hyundai Elantra and they do an excellent job servicing the vehicle even though it's not a Mazda. There have been a few occasions when the original quote was different than the final quote but they ALWAYS find a way to make it work for me. The shuttle service is consistently TOP NOTCH and on point; I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes and they always make you a priority. They have excellent communication amongst each other which is mandatory in my eyes. I also love that they send you a final video of the technician and his findings. The last time I took my car to Hyundai in Round Rock they told me it would be 2-3 days before they could even look at it. I have ALWAYS had the greatest experience here. 2 stars - I got a good deal and they have a nice kids waiting area. A few of the people I dealt with were nice. It seems that this dealership makes a lot of promises and doesn't deliver when it's time. My immediate family has purchased *6* vehicles from Roger Beasley. 6. But after our most recent purchase of a Ford Fiesta, we won't be returning for 7. Even though we are currently in the market for another vehicle. I could write a novel, but here are the highlights: It took 5 attempts of reaching out to our salesman Garrett, 2 appointments of having to bring my car in from Killeen and a little more than a month after my purchase to have my interior repaired as agreed upon during the purchase. During my first visit I overheard the service manager Dominic tell the vendor that was working on my interior to "Glue it. Get it done as cheap as possible" so, just keep that in mind when you're getting work done. Doesn't seem like they value honesty. I called the service manager out and he agreed to actually order the part(s) instead of sending me off with a cheap glue job. I had to return the next week to finally have the work done but what do you know.. the job was only half done. A part for my door trim handle didn't get ordered. Dominic told me that he would order the part and have it delivered to me via USPS. *Spoiler alert* .. In case you were wondering: It never happened. 3 months later and I am still waiting on my license plates. Before my temporary tags expired, I called the main number and was told the county was taking longer than normal to get the plates. The guy over the phone told me that there was nothing they could do. No resolution offered. Well, I got pulled over. Luckily just got a warning but turns out the dealership can indeed give you new temp tags. I had to return to the dealership to get them since no one returned my calls on what action I should take. It was THEN that I finally got the part mentioned above from Dominic. It was never put in the mail like he said it would be. And he didn't even offer me the courtesy of coming out to apologize for the delay or for setting incorrect expectations when he saw me. In this entire fiasco I also encountered Saundra and Elena. Both of them have subpar customer service skills. There was obviously a lot of confusion regarding who I needed to speak with, etc. Neither one of them took the time out to even attempt to help more than they needed to. Actually, Elena just stared at me like I was an idiot and sent me on my way to figure it out. Did not even ATTEMPT to help me. Literally had me walking back and forth between the parts section of the dealership and the service desk -- So if you are wondering -- No. You don't get a "customers first" experience here. At all. That is unless you deal with Dolores. She was nice and attentive. Adam in finance was great. The guy with the cowboy hat was cool. My daughter really liked him in passing. So here I am. Still have temporary tags and a random part for my car that I have to put on myself because I refuse to drive from Killeen to Austin to a dealership that doesn't even value me as a customer. Such a bad time here. I came in ready to buy a used Mazda3 for my daughter. She just had an accident in the new Mazda that we paid too much for. All the comps that the insurance showed us were $2,000 lower than what they sold the car to us for! Not happy at all about that, but thought they would work with us to keep there good name. When it was time to close the deal I tried to get them to drop their price $1,000 based on a comparable down at Nissan. They would not budge. But I'm glad, because I went to Avis Car Sales in San Antonio and bought a year newer Mazda3 with 10K less miles for less than what Roger Beasley wanted. So, spread the word... check out the car rental sales lots on line. Great cars for the best prices. Don't waste your time like I did going to Roger Beasley Mazda!!!Lesson learned. read more

I usually to go the Mazda dealer at the New Braunfes location, and they have been amazing. But recently moved to Austin so decided to check out the local one. Well first service, I walk into the office, 4 ppl at their table, 2 of them talking to each other, not one "hello" "how can we help you" ....I just stood here for a solid 2min before a lady looked up and went "yes?" Like yeah I don't need people running up to me but...a simple hello to welcome someone into your business who is about to spend money there would be kinda nice idk...maybe just me Simple oil change, nothing crazy, asked them to check my tire because my pressure been going down every time I blow it up....guess what they did, blew it up and said it's fine. The second I drive off the lot, pressure back down. Well thank you ? Also no car wash which idk, most Mazda dealerships I went to, had my car clean and ready to go. Here, it was barricade behind others for me to drive it off the lot. That experience cost me $120 Maybe it was just a bad day...but not going to risk a second time read more

I dislike this place enough that I decide to download yelp and write this review: Initially the sales team was really helpful and friendly. However the follow ups are absolutely horrible! 1. Whenever I called, I got directed to a department that no one answered (every single time), and even when I left a message, no one would call me back. 2. I had to be out of the country when my plates came in. I told them to give my friend a call so that she could pick up my plates for me. I gave them her number, they agreed to do so, but my friend never received a call. 3. This is the event that made me want to write this review. I told them I would be moving to another state 2 month ago, and asked them to mail my title to my new address, they received my new address but did not put it into their system. Therefore my title was mailed to my old address. I called, millions of times again, and could not get a solution. I kept getting transferred to phones that no one answered. By law I have to transfer my license plate to current state. Without a title, I wouldn't be able to do so. Update: I got a call from the finance department, asking me to directly contact the tax office. I understand that once the title is sent out, it's out of your hand. However, I asked if I would get refund if the tax office charges extra fee, and the guy from the phone said : "No". And he rudely stated "How is you moving our responsibility?" And I told him this is why it's your responsibility: First, I purchased the car in April, and I plan to move in mid August, I assumed the process of getting my title wouldn't take 4 month ( I paid in cash ). Second, back in May, I asked if I could get my license plate before June 11th (that's when I left town), the guy over the phone said:" Absolutely!" Yet I received my license plates in late July. Third, when I received my license plate, I told them it's too late for me to receive my title in Austin, I want to change the address to my new address out of Texas, they again agreed over the phone that they will do so. Just now I was told a totally different story: once we sent out your address, we are unable to change it. Great! If that's the case, why did you promise me back in July? After I told him all my reasonings, this person over the phone said to his colleague: now she's arguing with me. I asked: so why is it my responsibility? I took my CX-5 to them for the first time recently to have the key programmed and cut. I have to say, even though this was simple job, I was impressed with both the dealership itself and the service people. The dealership is beautiful, especially for a Mazda dealer. it's big, new, spacious with lots of seating and it's well furnished. The service bay where you drop off you car is clean and well maintained. I also have to say, Mazdas have gotten a LOT nicer than I remember them. The models they had in the showroom were pretty impressive, and I don't say that lightly. First off, they checked the car over at no charge without my even having to ask. Then they sent me a video of them checking out the car and measuring everything from the batter strength to the tire tread depth to the brake life. That's in addition to testing the key to be sure it worked. Great info, well done. Major bonus for me. My service advisor, Taylor, who helped me when I picked up the car was awesome. He was friendly, quick, had everything ready to go. He even walked me to the car. It was a refreshingly nice experience in an industry where that's not too common. Here's a long one but hopefully beneficial: Thursday and Friday, a 2013 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring for about $16k was showing up on their website. I sent an inquiry and received emails and calls about when I could come test drive. I spoke with Chris Mejia on Friday and said I could be their at 6pm as I was getting out of work at 3pm and driving from Universal City. Once out of work, traffic, as expected, was bad. It took my wife and I about 2 hours to get their but we arrived 5 mins before 5pm. We walk into the dealership and the receptionist asked how can we help you. I mentioned I am here to see Chris Mejia, she repeats his name in a tone of "who....." and said I have an appt at 6pm to test drive a 2013 Mazda, she says one moment. About a minute later, she mentioned this gentleman will help you. I look at this young man and he says "how can I help you" I repeat why I am here and he says okay come with me and takes us to his desk. He looks into his computer and says did you all drive here from San Antonio (in a tone that reflagged something wasn't right) and I replied yes, took us two hours. I ask the salesperson what's your name because he didn't introduce himself; "Ian." I ask, am I at the wrong dealership? He says no but that car sold. Long story short (if at all possible) I tell him I book this appt earlier today on the phone and he knew we would be traveling from SA. Classic sales tactic in play where they put a car on the website that they probably know is no longer available just to get people in. I mentioned this and of course, Ian assures me no. But who knows.... He tries to assists us in finding another car but there is nothing that would meet our budget hence the drive we took. Needless to say, we left angered and disappointed. But there is a happy ending..... As a backup, there was a 2015 CX-5 at Round Rock Nissan but a few thousand higher, which I figured we would not be approved for due to our budget and my credit score which is in "rebuild" mode, my wife a more fair credit rating. I text Rene Winot (Internet Sales Manager at Round Rock Nissan) and said we are on our way, as we had communicated earlier that day about potentially stopping by. And, since we were closer to Round Rock at this point, we could at least test drive a CX-5 to see if we truly liked the response. Blessing in disguise that Roger Beasley fell through with the potential sales tactic (which the car still shows on their website, now three days since first seeing it listed) anyway. We arrive at Round Rock Nissan (45 minutes later) and meet Rene. She's friendly, introduces herself (funny how that goes a long way) and takes us straight away to the car. My wife and I drive it, we both like it and we go in to crunch numbers. I tell her my credit is not that favorable and we may need to leave me off to see if we can even qualify for that year and price of the car to stay within our budget. Before she even plugs in numbers and submits the finance inquiry that impacts everyone's credit, she said she wants to ask questions about our financial situation to shoot it straight to us and potentially save an inquiry hit. The answers seemed good, she feels confident she can get us into the car with only our 2k down we have to spend & submits the inquiry. But, since it's late she will not know the outcome until Saturday morning. We part ways, feel a little better about the trip and try not to think about the potential outcome of a car we liked..... an hour and half drive back to Universal City, tired and worn out..... Saturday morning arrives. My wife & I go eat and at brunch, Rene calls to give us the news. She did it!!! She turned around what could have been a completely bad experience in Austin car shopping. To add icing to the cake; Jim, the finance person was very nice as well and it only took us about 35 minutes to get back on our way home with a new (to us) used car. Rene, Jim, Round Rock Nissan, my wife and I are so grateful for your efforts and above all, kindness, whether we were approved or not for the car.....but being approved did help, lol! read more

I despise purchasing cars--especially used cars. Who does? There's a baseline expectation that when I shop for a used vehicle that I won't be treated like garbage for somebody to take to the curb. Is that a lot to ask? If it is, ignore this review--my mistake. But if not, then I want to know that there is some value in being a customer, that I matter, and that the car I am building up the gumption to purchase matters--not just to me, but to the sales person who is chaperoning the transaction. An auto dealership should recognize these bellowing forces of torment and strive to shepherd customer satisfaction as the paramount condition for all future proceedings. This was not my experience at RBMC. My wife and I went shopping for a used car for our son to commemorate his 18th birthday--it would be his first vehicle. That's a big deal. Had I been shopping for myself, I would have been far less emotionally invested, but this was our son's first car. Long story short, we found the perfect car for our son at RBMC. We worked out the price and so far the experience was acceptable (truth be told, I couldn't wait to leave though). We had the cash to pay for it up front; however, I wanted to use a pre-approved car loan from our bank to purchase the vehicle. We provided the proof letter but our bank had already closed for the day. We were told by the sales manager he could supply us with a purchase order, then we could go to our bank first thing the next morning and return with the money. We scheduled an appointment for 11AM the following morning (one hour after our bank opened). The sales manager shook both our hands, told us "congratulations!" (sounds kinda like a sale doesn't it?) and we were on our way feeling like we had just purchased our first car for our first-born son. An exciting moment for any family! The next morning my wife and I woke up and prepared to visit our bank as soon as they opened at 10AM. Right before we left we got a text from our sales agent saying, "I just wanted to confirm our appointment at 11AM" I replied with an enthusiastic thumbs up. Then he replies, "Someone else is test driving the car right now. So I'll let you know what happens with that." I texted back, "??? What could happen with that??? I thought we bought it?" And he said, "They could buy it." A few more texts transpired (none pleasant) and within minutes I receive, "They bought it. Sorry" And that was it. That was the conclusion of the transaction. We spent over two hours at RBMC the previous day, exchanged stories about our lives with the sales associates, shook hands with the agents who ushered us a hearty "congratulations!" and it all ended with a "Sorry" one hour before we were scheduled to close the deal. The explanation was until we give them the money there are no promises. This was apparently "standard practice." It seems that piece of information would've been important to convey the previous day. I'm not a professional "car buyer" and all my previous experiences were all unique. None exhibited this "standard." If it is indeed the policy at RBMC then that information should have been communicated to us before we left that evening. Had they done so, I would've paid in cash, and not bothered risking the vehicle in order to get a loan involved. All of that stuff the previous day was for show--mere theatrics. None of it sincere. As soon as somebody else flashed the green we were the garbage taken to the curb. The car itself wasn't that big a deal, we've since purchased our son a far superior vehicle that made us feel much more satisfied (Thanks Texas Triumph Motors!). But what fumed me the most was that we were shoved aside in favor of another customer an hour before our agreement was to be concluded. Now if RBCM says, their customers are important to them, or "we value our customers" I don't believe them--how could anybody? Given their actions how can that possibly be true? We didn't experience that at all. I'm sure they'll reply to this review with vapid apologies and contrived drivel, but it's too late for that now. I've purchased eight vehicles in my forty-seven years on this earth and RBCM was my second worst experience ever (yes, there was a worse actually (Kia of North Austin, I'm looking at you)! I think I speak on behalf of car shoppers everywhere that we simply want to be treated with respect--that our satisfaction, happiness, and livelihoods are valued as much as, if not higher, than our cold cash. We matter. The used car industry has a hundred-year history of being shitty. You would think SOMEBODY would want to rise above that. RBMC does not. read more

Stay away!!!!!! These people are crooks and I reported them to the DMV for enforcement. I bought a Used car with cash on April 30 and still have not received the title or plates on June 18th! The finance guy told me that the DMV was really slow because they all got fired for stealing which is not true at all!!!! I spoke to DMV office and filed a complaint. I have no title for a vehicle I bought 2 months ago. According to the DMV agent, I was supposed to have it within 30 days. I even paid a $150.00 "document fee" for them to do the paperwork. They stole about $400 from me on registration, title, document and plate fees. The paper tag is expiring on June 29th so I have to get a temporary 30 day extension for $29.00!!!! God only knows if the car will even work for long. This is a very bad dealership and thinking of suing them. Let's see what Chelsea has to say about this!! read more

I've bought vehicles and had my service done at RBM for many years. For the most part it was excellent. Yes, you do wait a bit longer than an oil change place even if you have an appointment. Buying cars you're never sure of the quality of the numbers your hearing but that's fairly universal in the business. They've done well with the service department on a consistent basis though. Last week I went in for an oil change. It also turned out I needed new rear brake pads as one side was wearing unevenly. I made an appointment for the next week for the brake pads. After the oil change, driving home and going up a hill, a huge plume of smoke blew out of the rear of my Mazda. I figured the engine was blown. Close to my condo entrance I pulled in and immediately called the service rep, Juliann Pokorny, and told her what happened. Being pretty shook, and the car only had 38,000 miles on it and had been well cared for, I was surprised by Juliann's response. Expecting to hear the beginning of some denial of liability process and advice on how to hire a tow she instead got right on it. She told me to park the vehicle and she'd get a tow out there pronto and they'd take it in and see what happened. Being late in the afternoon, and the service department closes at 6:00, I figured I was out of luck for the evening. But she got Interstate Towing, and their driver Nathan, out to my condo in short order. Back at the service department they had a free loaner ready for me. Julie had another customer when I showed up and Enrique Garcia offered to get me out the door by doing the paperwork on the loaner. In addition the manager of the service department came out to meet me and ask what I experienced with the car. The next day they said the oil was slightly overfilled and going uphill sucked some of the oil up into the combustion chambers. They redid the oil change, ran the car in various ways to check and also heat the catalytic filter to burn of any residue. When I came to pick up the car the next day they'd thrown in the rear brake job for free. I was really impressed with Juliann's actions and with Enrique jumping in to help without even being asked. I also appreciated the service manager showing up. Very relieved I have to say the service department made a small mistake (very rare) but had a terrific, thoughtful, speedy, and apt response to the problem. Well done! read more

Really disappointed in the Service center at this location. I brought in my Mazda6 (purchased from Roger Beasley South) for it's 5K mile recommended service on 11/3/18. That should have included: Replace engine oil and filter Rotate tires Inspect brake fluid level Inspect engine coolant level Inspect function of all lights Inspect tire inflation pressure and tire wear Inspect washer fluid level Lubricate all locks and hinges I left my scheduled appointment thinking everything was squared up - I mean after all, the technicians checked all the boxes on the paperwork, right? Wrong. 2 weeks after my appointment (11/18/18), I checked my tire pressure to find that I was at 20 psi in all of my tires - against a factory standard of 35 psi. Thankfully I did not suffer a blowout going 80 miles an hour on I-10 or this might have been an entirely different review. That said, I was driving on severely under-inflated tires for a minimum of two weeks as a result of this service department's negligence. I tried reaching out the service manager Nate, however all I received in return was a voicemail mansplaining to me that with the cold snap we had blow in after my appointment, psi is subject to drop. I understand how temperatures affect tire pressure, and there is no way that a 40-50 degree temperature drop would have caused a psi change of 15 psi. (Maybe 5 psi, and that's being generous.) His only explanation was the weather and that his team did check the box on the paperwork saying that they checked the tire pressure. Really disappointed not only in the initial service, but in the lassiez-faire response I received from Nate to an issue that could have put me in real danger. read more

I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would have a 5-star experience @ a car dealership, but we had a very good new-car-buying experience @ Beasley Mazda thanks to the hard work and perseverance of a Sales Consultant named Isaac Gray. I tagged along w/ my friend for support, she was looking to test drive a 2009 Mazda Tribute V6 Grand Touring (i.e. Ford Escape w/ bells + whistles). She had been shopping around for a while and had narrowed her choices down to a '09 Toyota Rav 4 or '09 Honda CRV, so we expected Mazda to be a distant 3rd. Isaac came out to greet us in the 105 degree weather as we were strategizing over the research papers on vehicle comparison from www.Edmunds.com. Isaac could not find the exact model in stock (it's apparently popular), so in usual car salesman fashion he brings out a different model - an '09 Tribute Hybrid Grand Touring FWD (which was a Corporate Vehicle) w/ 5K miles on it and told us to take it for a spin. The drive around town went extremely well, it had very good acceleration and punch for a 4cylinder, leather seats, Sirius radio, and gets 32 mpg! But there was one drawback - it was light blue. "I don't like this color, I'll never buy a light blue car" she said. Well - so we thought - but I guess you should never say never...right? Isaac let's us know he's highly motivated to sell this SUV to her - - he admits that he's one car away from his bonus and today was his last chance, so he plans to give us a "crazy deal". We both started to feel bad for him, after all, it was 1hr until closing and she had no inclinations on making an impulse buy. Nevertheless we decided to hear him out and started to engage in that game called "negotiation". He speaks to his manager and comes out with a slew of calculations. What's going against him is that this Hybrid SUV is not eligible for the "Cash For Clunkers" Government Program or any cash-back incentives offered on new vehicles as well - - and it's light blue. So we spend nearly 4 hrs there, including 2 hrs after closing time, and even though it was a back and forth game on pricing, Isaac was very straight-forward and upfront, and did his best to meet her needs. I was direct with him and he took it well, and in the end he agreed to an offer that she just couldn't refuse - especially on a 32mpg Hybrid SUV. We were a bit shocked since we never anticipated this visit would result in a brand new purchase...I mean, after all, someone did say she would never buy a light blue car. Dealing with Isaac was what made this a pleasant experience. He wasn't mentally draining, was very talkative, friendly, ethical and honest. Car buying is a game - they want to make the most while you want to pay the least, and even though he couldn't show all of his cards, it was probably the best new car buying experiences I've ever had. So if you're in the market for a Mazda, and you want to deal with a salesman who's got good intentions, I'd say your best bet is to see Isaac Gray @ Beasley Mazda. Seriously - he's Zoom-Zoom in a good way. read more

A white Mazda CX-9 was listed on their website that I was interested in. My friend who was going to help me buy the car, called and spoke with Mark and Simon around 8am and made an appointment for me to come in the same afternoon. They arranged to have the car pulled out for me. So I arranged to take off a half day from work, went to CarMax to have my car appraised, and arrived at Roger Beasley shortly before 2:30. However, we were told upon arrival that the model we arranged to look at was not there and they did not have any CX-9 Turbo Pluses, despite their website showing they had 3. My friend had received a call at 1pm, telling him that but I was already in the area and had already taken a half day from work so decided to go over there anyway. I spoke to the manager, I believe his name was Bassam--he had a gray beard, extremely muscular arms and shoulders, and tattoos going the length of both arms--who was less than empathetic at best. He said Mark and Simon asked him when he came in at 10am if they had any Turbo Pluses to which he said no, but for some reason, Mark and Simon waited 3 hours to call my friend back. If I had actually been told at 10am that the car I wanted to look at wasn't there, I would not have had to waste a half vacation day when they knew full well that car wasn't there. The manager tried to blame it on my friend. I was fed a load of lies. Then I was told that Roger Beasley himself was driving the very car I came to look at. No one could answer my question of why he was allowed to do that when it was listed on their website as for sale, except to say "Roger Beasley can do whatever he wants." That may be true but what a horrible, dishonest business model. You list a car on your website for sale, you drive it around because you like it, then you're going to sell it someone and pretend it's new? I fully intended to buy that vehicle today but because I was lied to, wasted a half vacation day that I won't get back, and was treated so poorly by the manager, I will never buy a Roger Beasley vehicle. I will gladly drive to Houston or Dallas to purchase a Mazda. 0/10 would not recommend this place. Horrible business practices, lies, deception, and poor customer treatment. read more

We purchased a car from Roger Beasley Mazda 2 weeks ago and it's been a mess. We are having our car loan financed through USAA and Roger Beasley has been no help at all. Here's everything that's gone wrong: 1. They wanted us to submit the financing paperwork ourselves. They emailed my husband the paperwork and told us to send it to our lender. (Our lender told us that was not standard practice). 2. They filled out the paperwork incorrectly. Our lender needed their name on the title information. 3. Attempts to contact them have been met with empty promises of "We'll get that back to you today or tomorrow". Our lender contacted them 3 separate times. The finance director promised to get the corrected documents to them by EOB or the next day... THAT DID NOT HAPPEN. I called them personally and ended up getting sent to voice mail twice. When I finally spoke with a sales manager, he said he'd call me back right away, but never did. The other issue I had was I felt highly pressured to buy the extended warranty. I actually said I didn't want to buy it 3 times, and it felt we were going to be kept in the office until we agreed. Additionally, I asked for more specific documentation as to the contract terms, and they said they didn't have them. I will say everyone was nice, but the pressure to buy the extended warranty and the mess with financing has left a bad taste in my mouth. Also, they gave me a temporary license plate that expired a week into my purchase, so I basically have a car that I cannot legally drive, and I can't get anyone at Roger Beasley to fix the problem. read more

I've waited 2 weeks to write this and have hesitated because the 2 stars I am giving are for the sales person who has been diligent in helping me. Zach has listened to my frustration , answered my numerous texts and calls and driven to my work twice to deliver me cars, saving me the hassle of the dealership. HOWEVER......THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER !!!!!!!! I will just highlight the key components of this Sh#* show of an experience : -at first glance, I thought it was going to be a home run because I arrived and all the cars I was watching online were pulled and ready to go for test drive when I arrived , as I requested over the phone . -sike!! After the test drives , we sit to make the deals , we go back and forth because key questions weren't asked so we had to figure out the pay off of my car. - I am told I will get a rental Mazda because there are a few things needing attention on the one I want . I agree to purchase anyway having faith these things will be taken care of (note this for later ). Although this is promised, I am then told , "we are low on rentals, are you ok taking your own car on loan?" I agree anyway because I need a car to drive and want the new car I choose , so however this needs to work fine . -deal is made, then sale person is pulled for another appt. I proceed to sit there for almost 2 hours alone because the finance dept is "backed up". I finally say I'm about to leave because of time constraints and miraculously I am pulled to sign paper work by Ann the finance manager . - all a paperwork is finalized; however , no one ever gets the money I agreed to pay towards the new car . Once i leave i realize this , call back , then someone else giggles and takes payment over the phone . Then the following Monday Ann calls at 6.30pm at night to request a personal reference for my loan ..... ( please note : I call leave message the same night ). 2 days later , I get a text from the sales guy Zach that they need a perks all reference for my loan .... Meanwhile , I have left the country and my Loan still isn't complete! - I am concerned at this point my car payment for my old car will taken out because the date is approaching ; however I am reassured this won't be the case .... You guessed it ! My old car payment for a car I no longer own is taken out of my account and the loan wasn't filed until Sept 20th!!!!!! 10 Days after i signed for it !!!!! ( I was reimbursed but WTF) - car won't be ready outta the shop for a "few days" I had a trip planned anyway, so we agree I will pick up my new car on Monday the 19th..... You can guess by the way things are going , this didn't happen either . My car wasn't ready until Friday the 23rd and was still brought to me with a hole in the upholstery that they agreed to fix in the FIRST PLACE !! I was told this must have been a miscommunication!! Ya think !!!!! So now , I have to take the car back to get this fixed !!! - never one time did any Manager call me to offer explanation or any form of help at all. Zach however fielded all of my frustration but I don't feel he should have been the one handling this at this point. I am giving 2 stars for Zach being patient and nice but really , what a joke ! Completely unorganized and of any competency ! I love my car but should have walked away and simply went to another Mazda dealership . Never again ! read more

After my terrible experience, the Service Manager reached out to me and did everything he could to earn back my business. I've held off updating this review until my next visit. This past time was much better. I worked with two different Advisors. I got a video from the tech going over everything he could see, and then I was able to communicate via text to either approve or not go forward with the work. I did not schedule a car wash this time, maybe that made the difference. read more

I have taken my CX-5 to all 3 dealerships in Austin & surrounding areas (South & Central, Georgetown). My experience at South and Georgetown were both pleasant, but the Central location has been inefficient both times I have gotten it serviced. To start my experience, they were extremely hard to contact as they rarely answer the phone. I was able to make an appointment where I specifically said I needed my state inspection completed and then a regular inspection for my car. When I arrived, they asked me if I wanted to focus on anything in specific, in which I informed them I had a nail in my back left tire. They estimated it would be around an hour and a half. The associate I was working with was Matt, who contacted me about 4 hours later giving me an update, but mentioned nothing about the back left tire. I asked him about it and he said the technician found nothing wrong with the back left tire. I said there is visibly a nail in it, so he had the technician look again and said he would replace my tire. I mentioned that it was under warranty. Matt called me 8 hours later to say my car was ready. When I arrived, he ushered me to the waiting room and said it would be roughly another twenty minutes. I finally went to check out and noticed the state inspection was not on there. He said they "didn't know they were supposed to be doing a state inspection", but would get it done right then. Ten minutes later, he came back to tell me they were unable to complete it that day and I would need to bring it back 3 days later. I made another appointment for 3 days later, in which Matt said that since it was at my inconvenience it would be no more than 30 minutes. An hour and a half later at my second appointment, my state inspection was finally completed. Overall, I gave them two stars because everybody I worked with was friendly, but the Central Mazda location just does not respect your time and I will not be taking my car back here. read more
