VETERANS AND OTHERS BEWARE! DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM BELLS in AUSTIN! As a retired military guy having USAA as my insurance agency, I was able to use their USAA Car Buying Service. It took me to TrueCar, which in turn to me to this car on the Bell's website. I wish I would have read the Facebook and Google reviews before I dealt with them. I never would have wasted my time with this terrible DISHONEST dealer, and they certainly don't represent any reference to TrueCar "Buy Smarter. Drive Happier." motto. I expected more integrity from an auto dealer. VETERANS AND OTHERS BEWARE! DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM BELLS in AUSTIN! Our problems started the first night we drove the car home on 2/27/2020, The service engine light came on repeatedly. I cleared it each time. This had to be a pre-existing recurring issue, and I'd guess that their "inspection report" was completed after the codes were cleared. Here's the summary: 1. Check engine light came on while driving it home for 2 separate diagnostic codes - coolant/engine temp and engine misfire on cylinder #5. I reset these several times over the first few days, but they continued to trigger the service engine light on. It seems pretty clear that their "trusted" mechanic must have reset these service engine faults before the "inspection report" and sale. 2. After driving for about 20 minutes on the highway, and at completely random intervals, the car shimmers and shakes pretty badly and won't go faster than about 80 mpg. o No estimate to repair as of yet as we haven't had time to take it to Nissan for proper diagnosis, but numerous Nissan online forums suggest that these symptoms indicate the transmission is going out. This could cost between $2500 and $4000 based on either a re-manufactured one or a new one. 3. Oil leaking from valve cover, dripping onto exhaust, and a terrible stinky burning oil smell is coming into passenger compartment. I think this was covered up by Bells placing multiple air fresheners in the car. o My own mechanic repaired this particular oil leak at a cost of $250 parts and labor. 4. A/C system leaking R134 coolant (green'ish), and no longer blowing cold air. o I've purchased all of the parts at a cost of $590.32 w/out tax and will install them myself. In order to maintain the warranty, my mechanic will the flush and refill/recharge the system for $100 so that's $690 before tax! 5. Constant Velocity (CV) drive shaft on front driver side has a torn boot, leaking all the grease out of it and caused wearing of the u-joint and some drive train wobble, and the passenger side shaft is also wobbling slightly. o I bought the parts for $160 and I did the labor myself. 6. Ball joint on lower front left has a torn boot and is leaking grease making vehicle stiff to turn as it should. o I bought the parts for $28.99 and I did the labor myself. 7. Power steering pump leaking. o The part is $132.99 and will have to be installed. 8. Oil pressure sending unit is leaking. o The part is $13.99 and will have to be installed. Bells offer: Have me drive the unstable car 70 miles to their "trusted mechanic" and pay for the repairs myself - many of which I've already completed so that I know they are done correctly. WRONG! Why would I want to take it back to their crappy mechanic when they chose to hide and/or missed this stuff the first time?? Won't be doing that. My offer: Refund me the cost of necessary repairs that I've already done/need to do so my family can safely ride in the car (roughly $1,300), and I will be on my way. Nope, they won't do anything of the sort. They want me to pay to take it back to their crappy mechanic. Not happening! VETERANS AND OTHERS BEWARE! DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM BELLS in AUSTIN! read more

This place does not conduct good business. I bought a mazda 3 from them and had my own mechanic check it out. They failed to mention a big transmission issue, engine vibration and much more. I asked to get my money back because we signed an extension to postpone the licensing paperwork just incase an issue occurred. I asked for the return and they tried to pin a $250 restocking fee on me. I wanted to ensure i got my money so i bit my arm and took the fee. That fee was never mentioned in any documents. This business is shady, untrustworthy and most of all lacks any accountability. Their inspector Christopher Honey passed a vehicle he should not have. Red flags all over. I would recommend choosing a more authentic car buying experience elsewhere. read more

So I needed a new car since mine got totaled so I found this place on Facebook market place. I test drive a Toyota Corolla in the neighborhood to make sure it runs something light. Well I didn't realize it but the horn doesn't work. And the rear bumpers sag when I drive. But it "passed inspection" so I didn't know these things. Here 16 months they say later I posted about them. At first they seem understanding and helpful, but then when you get the car after 2 months the car stated to go down. I called to tell them the daughter said i will get back to you. The battery was bad from jump. I end up in the hospital and my car is sitting up. My dad came to turn on for me each two days!!! I was in the hospital for 11 months when I get out and drive for 3 days but car is messed up so bad!!!
