Maybe it was a miss when we came here. We came here to eat for my birthday. We ended up ordering Hibachi meals, as we didn't want to do the BBQ option until we tried the food itself. My plate came out hot, but my rice came out lukewarm. It wasn't hot at all, which was strange. Then, another plate ordered came half hot, meaning half of the plate was cold. How does this even happen? So we had both sent back to ask for actual, hot food. I'm unsure if they cooked the rice more or just microwaved it, as it was more on the mushy side and tasted a bit "burnt" when it came back. The other plate did come back hot this time. The food itself was just alright. I've went to other hibachi spots where the food was more flavorful, the sauce slaps and it actually came out hot. The service was alright as well, but it was a bit strange that we somehow were served warm and cold dishes. We had drinks as well, the LIIT was good and the margarita was too. In total, we paid about $140 for 4 drinks and two hibachi entrees. Except, nothing about this experience felt like it was worth $140. I'm glad we didn't take up their offer to do BBQ or we would've paid way more for a mid experience. I wouldn't come again. There's way better out there and for way better prices. read more

What a fun Korean bbq spot! It's all you can eat so order as much as you want!! Lots of meat and seafood options for the Barbeque, plus tons of different appetizers and Banchan to choose from. They play fun and upbeat music here, and the seating is generous. Great service: our server was constantly refilling the water. They also have a height specific price discount which I found interesting! Usually AYCE restaurants will have a discount for younger ages, but this place has a ruler for height, so if you're under a certain height, you eat at a discount (and if you're even shorter (like a toddler's height) you eat for free!) read more

Pretty new Korean BBQ restaurant that has both an ala carte menu and an AYCE option and we were quite happy with what we got! Weekend price (as of 8/2025) was $39.99 per adult for AYCE. Very straightforward. You order items from a menu and they bring it to you. They will help you grill if it's not too busy but expect to do most of the cooking yourself! We sampled a decent portion of the menu and the items we would definitely get again are the following: - Pork belly - Fresh and lean. - Thin cut brisket - Great flavor. Cooks quick! - Korean Fried Chicken (drumstick, garlic soy) - I was quite surprised how good the quality was. The drumstick was huge and the glaze and crunch of the sauce and skin was delicious. - Garlic Cube Steak - This was a sleeper hit. Not too salty and extremely tender. We would 100% get this again. - Steamed Egg - Nothing special (we didn't detect any broth flavorings, just normal egg and green ontions. - Both normal and spicy beef soups - Nothing special - Fried Tteokbokki - We thought it would be in a broth but it was literally as the name suggests. A Culinary Rockstar in Valley Stream! I had been counting down the days to try Rockstar Korean BBQ, and let me tell you......it was absolutely worth the wait! I finally made it there with my daughter, and from start to finish, it was an incredible experience. I ordered the short ribs hot stone bowl, and it was nothing short of delicious. The flavors were rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced. It came out sizzling and stayed hot the whole time, which gave the rice at the bottom a nice crispy texture. It was filled with tender, flavorful short ribs that were sweet and savory, along with steamed white rice, sautéed vegetables like carrots, spinach, and zucchini (the only thing missing was the fried egg, unfortunately). The dish was hearty, and flavorful! My daughter got the shrimp dish. The shrimps were massive, perfectly cooked by our server, and came with white rice and a bowl crisp salad. The salad dressing was light, refreshing, and just right. Now let's talk sides that came with the shrimps.....because wow. The macaroni salad? Possibly the best I've ever had, and that's coming from someone who's tasted macaroni salad from some seriously skilled Southern home cooks. The kimchi was equally impressive, fresh, flavorful, and absolutely addictive. In fact, both the macaroni salad and kimchi were so good we ordered seconds! Honorable mention to the side of broccoli which was equally tasty. Our server Min, was top notch, attentive, courteous, and very professional. While the menu was a little confusing at first, we asked for help and were immediately guided with patience and kindness. Valley Stream has been desperately in need of more diverse dining options, and Rockstar Korean BBQ delivers in a big way. They offer an all-you-can-eat option Monday through Saturday and also a lunch menu from 12 to 3 p.m. They stay open until 11, which is perfect for late dinners. I'll absolutely be returning, and I highly recommend this gem to anyone craving incredible Korean BBQ and exceptional service. The service is excellent with an attentive staff. The place has tables with grills if you want to do the BBQ experience. The first time I went with my kids, we didn't do the grills and ordered from the kitchen. My kids ordered ramen and loved it. I ordered myself the short ribs and my kids also ate and loved them. I came back the next day without the kids so I can enjoy the BBQ experience : ) what I love about this place is that they cook the food for you, I am always worried about over or undercooking when I do it on my own, the staff did it just right. It's a ok kbbq... we made a reservation for Saturday night for 6 ppl. I felt like they needed more waitstaff... our order was taken then the second third round had to hail down the server. The portions that they bought out wasn't big either.. had to hail down the server for napkins and drinks... had to ask to change the grill... the banchan were lacking. Only kimchi and radish kimchi.. didn't have the soybean dip or sesame oil with salt. The 3 dips were salt, a hibachi dip and a soy teriyaki sauce... had to ask for lettuce wrap, didnt have raw garlic or jalapeños... just wasn't a typical kbbq that I'm used to go to in Flushing... little disappointed.. read more

Rockstar BBQ caught our attention with it's offerings of AYCE and the variety of sides. The meats were fair quality and most of the sides we tried were tasty (house salad, rockstar fried drumsticks, spicy beef radish soup), but the hibachi fried rice was a huge miss with overcooked and soggy rice. The main letdown was the service. The employees had no desire to be at work and didn't check on the table unless they were called over each time for new orders, even with empty plates lining the edge of the table. Our grill plate was also not changed out during our time there, which was a first for me at a KBBQ. If service improved it'd probably warrant a visit, but I couldn't recommend them based off our experience there for $40 a head. read more

Finally open! Worth the wait. I've been curious about this place for a while. I passed by several times and even pulled into the lot once, only to see it still under construction. So I was excited to see it finally open and decided to try it out with my mom. When we arrived, there was just one other party dining, but more guests slowly trickled in. The space is huge (it used to be a diner), so it never felt crowded. We were seated right away and given multiple menus, drinks menu, a lunch specials menu, and the regular menu. The regular menu was a bit confusing. It listed dishes and prices but didn't explain what came with each dish, which could be tough for anyone unfamiliar with Korean BBQ. Fortunately, our server Min was very friendly and took the time to explain everything clearly. As for the food, it was delicious! I ordered the Shrimp BBQ, and Min actually grilled it for us tableside. The shrimp were big, juicy prawns and came with a nice spread: salad, rice, kimchi, a very tasty macaroni salad, broccoli, and a spicy jalapeño-onion mix in pickled juice. My mom got one of the hot stone dishes, and she enjoyed hers just as much. Everything we tried was flavorful and fresh. Before leaving, we gave some friendly feedback, mainly about making the menu clearer and possibly adding a happy hour, especially since the bar is huge and has great potential. Our party of 4 was seated right away. They brought us water immediately. We ordered the japchae, fried chicken wings and dumplings. All delicious, good portions and great flavors!! The banchan was good too, loved their salad dressing & macaroni salad. For entrees we had the la short ribs, short rib bibimbop and pork bulgogi. Again, great portions every thing delicious. If you get soondubu ask if it's spicy or not this was a point of contention and confusion with the staff. Today we had take out and we ordered the japchae and la short ribs and again had an issue with the tofu soup. But they were great and corrected the issue. Food was delicious. Staff is great. The lighting, space, and ambiance makes it a great place for family gatherings and date nights. My friend and I ordered one of the meat platters which included bulgogi (my favorite). We stopped in for Father's Day- I would definitely recommend making a reservation on google because the place was absolutely buzzing. But this is absolutely a GEM and a lovely addition to the neighborhood. The service was fantastic and felt extremely authentic. The banchan provided were all amazing, the kimchi was great. The meat was also of amazing quality and our server cooked it to perfection. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the steamed egg- but everything else was delicious. We definitely are planning to go back. The outside does not do the inside justice at all. Very trendy and clean and well kept. Much more spacious than you would expect too. After anxiously awaiting the opening of this restaurant we finally got the chance to dine in today. My husband and I came with three very harsh critics-our three children. The service was prompt and we were seated immediately. The place is very clean and our drink orders were taken right away. Since this was our first time, we asked for the server to explain the menu so that we could get an idea of what was best for us. The food? Amazing. Everything was fresh and the meat is cooked right in front of you, which my kids loved! We ordered the large beef platter with ribeye, skirt steak, short rib and brisket. We also got an order of spicy pork belly. I had to fight to grab meat because my kids attacked everything, an obvious sign that it was all delicious! I even got my eldest, who is very picky, to try the bulgogi kimchi fries. We ended the meal with ice cream. When I started writing this review, my middle child looked at me and gave his review.
