Great!!! The chicken is fried to perfection with your choice of sauce my favorite is the soy garlic. I had the truffle fries the potatoes chip like appetizers on a skewer bigger than expected and bologna noodles which was amazing. Bold flavors. Staff were friendly and attentive. Ambiance was nice rustic vibe, good for groups & children No alcohol beverages at this location not sure bout others.

Came here at 11 am to order takeout, Carissa took my order- she was very friendly & helpful. I got the 20 pc half & half soy garlic wings and parmesan truffle fries. She quoted me "about a 20-25 minute" wait but I ended up waiting 35 minutes, which is fine since they just opened. The wings were good like how it's supposed to be- crispy, juicy & flavorful with just the right amount of batter. I really liked the spicy soy garlic flvr paired with pickled radish- there's a pleasant kick to it but not too intense. The truffle fries were good too. Would definitely come back to this MFC location.

Individual chicken combo with fries. Two drummies and a boneless thigh. Soy garlic and spicy.

I've gone MAAAAAAAAADDDD! With how good the food was here. I'm so sad that it's in Long Island area and I have to take the LIRR to get here plus an additional 2 ish mile walk. Would I do it again just to come here? Prolly not LOL because that's asking too much but the food was really good I can consider it I came all the way from Jersey City to visit the mall in the area and I'm so glad I stopped by here instead of getting a biggie bag at Wendy's. I really did consider that cuz I spent too much at the mall. Service was nice and they were kind enough to split the flavors of my combo because the place was slow. TBH it should never be slow. Chicken crispy and flavorful. Kimchi rice, good and hearty. The fries are those battered fries. Plus they do soju here, yeah you're gonna have a blast here. Super mellow but the food is wildin! Will recommend to those who are in the area after they do some shopping. Well time for my journey back to Jersey City.

Mad For Chicken on Old Country Rd in Carle Place had their grand opening on Thursday, January 22, 2026. I stopped by the following day. This Mad For Chicken location is surrounded by other businesses, but the parking lot is quite spacious. I've been to other Mad For Chicken locations and am so happy this one opened up since it is a lot closer to me now. I walked in about 6:00pm on a Friday night and most of the booths were taken but one so we sat there. It is very spacious inside. On one side of the restaurant, there are booths and the other side is bench seating on one side of the table and chairs on the other side of the table. I had wanted the Budae Jjigae (Army Stew) since it was such a cold night, but they didn't have it. Instead, we ordered a bottle of soju, Bulgogi Toppoki Japchae, Kimchi Fried Rice, and 10 Signature Korean Wings. The Bulgogi Toppoki Japchae had korean glass noodles, braised rice cakes, red peppers, onions, scallion, bulgogi, and sesame oil. We got it mild, but I wish we ordered it hot. The rice cakes was pretty lacking in flavor, but the japchae was good. The Kimchi Fried Rice had pan-fried white rice with kimchi, vegetable and a sunny side up egg. The menu had said it would have bulgogi, but I didn't find any pieces of bulgogi. The Kimchi Fried Rice was okay, you can definitely tell that they used frozen vegetables. The signature korean wings is double fried and sauces are brushed on by hand. We got half soy garlic and half spicy soy garlic. Though we had ordered wings, there were some drumsticks. Both were crispy and had a really good crunch. The chicken is definitely the best thing we had. Service was really good. The servers were very friendly and attentive. This was a great date night!

Once inside, you enter the best of what Korean BBQ has to offer. It's no wonder this establishment keeps growing - a new Commack location is imminent. No need to fear about speaking English - the staff speak better English than me! Speaking of staff - Nick was our server for a large group ranging from infant to senior citizens. He was patient with our many questions about the different types of meat and was ever attentive to all of our needs, both young and old. Nick was so good, we had the manager (who had just finished her shift and was walking in the parking lot) return to the restaurant so that we could let her know how great Nick was! There aren't vents above the grills so the smoke can get on you and in your way (my friend was coughing and sweating a lot every time the smoke blew her way...). We tried the pork spicy bulgogi, spicy chicken, and chicken breast (plain). The marinades ran far too sweet for my likely so I ended up preferring the plain chicken and also didn't think the marinades were spicy enough. The spicy tofu soup was a great side option to have. The banchan were also all slightly too sweet for me, the soybean sprouts were my favorite mainly because they were not overly sweetened. The radish, daikon, and kimchi were all way too sweet and really tolerable for a couple bites. Also tried the grilled vegetables and bibimbap bowl for some additional veggies and rice. The service is quite good and their staff will help grill and check in on your food so you can focus on eating. The music here is a tad loud but you can still have a conversation. Per person cost was nearly $50 so it exceeded $60 per person with tip. Would only recommend if you can tolerate sweet marinades and can get your money's worth for that base cost.

Owned by another fantastic Japanese couple where the husband used to deliver the best picks of fresh fish and seafood to award winning and Michelin starred restaurants all across NYC. The space was upgraded a bit and thankfully they still retained the chef who handles the back kitchen and still deliciously creates and beautifully plates all their traditional Japanese hot dishes (please bring back the chawanmushi though!). Menu is a bit more scaled down from what it was but still all delicious and price point for it all is perfect. This spot is worthy enough to come to every day or to LIRR in from the city to eat at. Sad to not see master Kikumatsu at the helm of the sushi bar and Kyoko chan to greet you as you walk in but the new owners are as warm and as great too! Must go repeatedly!

We enjoyed our dinner thoroughly and will be back for the miso black cod and hamachi kama next time. Dinner for 4, no drinks, about $200 all in, more than fair, about 35% less than the same experience in Manhattan. Looking forward to coming back, just to see Mr. K., oh and the sushi is great too.

Hoping to have a snack and a beer while I waited and go over the paperwork for our meeting. This seemed to confuse him, but whatever. I sat at the bar and watched the 'waitress' ignore me while doing nothing much. She closed out three tabs for people that didn't ask, poured a beer for someone that also didn't ask, then came out from behind the bar to annoy a guy at a table on his phone and eating. I looked right at her and she averted her eyes. Not even an 'I'll be right with you'. What was this all about? BTW...I was the only woman at the bar....hmmmmm... Ex waitress, bartender, caterer and kitchen manager here. I got up, stopped by the manager sitting at a table doing paperwork, complained succinctly, and walked out. He still seemed confused so I guess that that's his baseline. His purpose there? I have no clue. He needs to train his staff better. Do know that were were only maybe 5 or 6 other people in the entire restaurant at the time. So she lost a bar customer, no big deal, but she also lost 4 people for a business dinner that I moved elsewhere in the mall. Won't be back...
