This place was clean, casual, open kitchen. It has a restroom and its own parking lot. The service was excellent, cashier made suggestions offered to try a sauce. The food was hot, fresh, and a great value. The portion was generous. I got a mixed platter of lamb and chicken. Welcome to the neighborhood, Halal Grill Eats!! I kept seeing the coming soon signs and I waited with much anticipation! They finally opened on Feb 5th, and I was not disappointed! Plenty of parking in their small lot. There are a few tables for dine-in but most ppl take out. They're great for late night eats and close at midnight daily. This is great since late night eats are slim pickings on Long Island. They have a pretty large menu. Lots of choices! The have the usual chicken & lamb platters but they also have a wide range of chicken wing flavors. They even serve quesadillas, burgers, seafood, loaded fries, chicken fingers, subs/wrap sandwiches, and salad bowls. Wow, what variety! See my photos for their full menu! There is definitely something for everyone. On this visit, I got: -- Chicken & Lamb Platter over rice, with salad and French Fries ($13): this platter was massive! The meats were very fresh and didn't seem to be sitting around for too long. The French Fries were surprisingly delicious. The salad was pretty basic, and I was surprised that they didn't ask what I wanted in my salad; especially since they have a wide array of items for the salad on display. Try to catch the person making your platter and tell them what you'd like in your salad. (They won't ask you). I was able to add some chickpeas last minute, which made the salad better. Also ask for dressing; there is no dressing on the salad. **Ask for extra sauce for your platter, as they don't really give that much sauce. I got extra white and hot sauce on the side. -- Chicken Wings (10pcs/$15): you can order 6, 10 or 20 piece wings (with or without bones), and you can pick among 8 different sauces. I picked their Mango Habanero Sauce. which had a slight kick to them. Honestly, the Habanero Wings weren't that spicy....at first! But after the 2nd wing, you will slowly feel the spicy burnnnn...they were fantastic!! I appreciated that the wings were meaty and not all bones. They also offer a variety of dipping sauces for your wings, so ask them for it. All in all, this was a great first experience. There were slight issues with mixing up our orders, but luckily, I caught the mistake and left with the corrected order. I'll mark that up to growing pains since they just opened 4 days ago. This is an "ok" spot . I was riding through the area looking for a place to pick up a meal for family and saw this spot . It's bright and clean with a small area to eat in and before going in I checked out the menu and it has things other halal spots don't ; like quesadillas and jerk chicken . Unfortunately it wasn't as good as I thought it would be . The girl at the counter offers great customer service and is pleasant which is a plus. . My main issue is the loaded fries I purchased which would've probably been good enough minus the jerk chicken . The jerk chicken had good flavor but combined with the cheese , jalapeños , and other toppings became way too rich . It just was "too much " after just a few bites so I ended up putting it in the fridge and hoping I could maybe re-heat it later as it was close to $15 for those. I feel like something needed to be more subtle in flavor amd take the "backseat " as there were too many strong flavors and it was too much on the palate . The rest of the family did enjoy the hamburger and fries combos but they said there was nothing special about them . If I try them again I would not have the jerk chicken loaded fries again because I just didn't enjoy them and ended up throwing them out as they become a soggy mess in the fridge . read more

We kept passing by this place for weeks seeing the "Opening Soon" sign, so once they finally opened we had to stop in and try it out and I'm glad we did! Right away the staff was super welcoming and the restaurant itself was very clean. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted and you can see a huge menu with a lot of options, so there's definitely something for everyone.We ordered the jerk chicken platter ($13) with white sauce, hot sauce, and barbecue sauce, and they did not hold back on the portions. It came with a LOT of food and the flavors were on point. The sauces honestly made the whole meal even better very flavorful and tasteful.We also tried the kofta kabob ($14) which came with fries, rice, and a salad. Everything was fresh, filling, and seasoned well. Again, the portions were really good for the price.Overall, great first experience, great food, and great service. Ordered a Jerk Chicken & Combo over rice. Have been to many halal spots that serve platters and this is up there with Adele's and Hamza and Madina (Hicksville). The jerk and chipotle sauce give it a very unique taste. Fries not the crispiest, but taste is great. 8.7/10 read more

Halal Grill Eats was such an amazing find. From the moment I walked in, the staff were super friendly, welcoming, and impressively quick with everything. You can tell cleanliness is of utmost importance to them, everything from the dining room, to the food line, and the grill is spotless and very well organized. And the food? Delicious. Everything tasted flavorful and satisfying. On top of that, the prices are very fair, especially for the quality and portion sizes. Worker at the front was sooo nice , their food is actually really good , I got their gyro with chicken and lamb , the chicken definitely outshined the lamb but it was so good. Their hot sauce is actually surprisingly spicy , I have a high spice tolerance so I poured the whole thing on before trying it and it brought tears to my eyes still enjoyed it though for sure but yes definitely give it a try read more
