Our 9- and 11-year-olds crushed 50-foot rappels and were so proud of themselves. Highly recommend, and we'd book with Forrest and Zion Adventures again without hesitation. We also rented our Narrows gear through them, using the new Virgin location instead of Springdale. It was more convenient for us since we were staying in Hurricane, making it easy to pick up gear the night before. Easy process, and Maile made sure we had everything we needed plus all the info necessary to stay safe on the hike. One tip: if you're not staying in Springdale and are booking a canyoneering tour, book the Virgin location. It's right by Kolob Canyon Road where Lambs Knoll is, so it saves you the drive into Springdale.

He was calm, patient and pushed us just the right amount outside our comfort level for us to come back with great memories from the trip. Our kids, ages 9 and 11 did great. For one of the sheer drops, he did a tandem for our younger one. This was a private tour, the equipment felt clean and we felt safe and informed throughout our adventure. Can't recommend enough!

I'm glad that they don't offer a half-day class for beginners. An 8-hour class is needed if you have never done this before. On the last Rappel all of us felt comfortable and confident that we can achieve the next day adventure we had. Our instructors name is Dion. He had plenty of patience and very knowledgeable on what he was doing. We have been coming designs for the last six years in a row. We have all done the all the popular hikes more than once. We have a new passion for canyoneering. Advice, if you have never rappelled before I suggest you take an all-day class and learn how to do it so you will be confident on your own. Our tour guide, Al, showed us such an amazing experience! He was friendly, patient, funny, knowledgeable of the area, and of course, has tons of stories to share! Super laid back and very professional! Depending on the amount of people you with, the price of canyoneering will decrease. Before you go on the trip, make sure you use the bathroom. The drive up to Lambs Knoll was about 30mins and the hike up was about another 30 mins. Instructions and safety took about 10 mins and next thing you know, you're strapped up and ready to go! With a group of 4, Al made each of us feel comfortable on each course. He didn't rush us off the mountain and even offered to continue on to do more rappelling. If we didn't leave our mom on a souvenir shopping spree for 4 hours, I would've agreed for more! He even made me feel all skinny believing that I can squeeze myself between the slot canyons!! Haha! That was an adventure in and of itself. The Slot Canyons were one of my top 10 things to do while living in Utah and I'm glad I got to see how beautiful it is in person. I saw large expanses of rocks we could walk on that resembled skate parks, I saw a hummingbird, phlox, blooming cacti, painted flowers, lizards, evergreens, lichen in bright yellows and oranges and views that make your heart stop. He even took us to see petroglyphs and actual dinosaur prints! We came away feeling our thousands of miles trip was worth every hour it took. We highly recommend ZRMG! I was a bit leery of the Jeep and thinking it may or may not break down on a dirt road without cellular signal, but all is well that ends well. The ride was scenic and bumpy and an all around good time. Our tour guide was Zach(Zack?) and he was Ah-mazing. He was a great driver, funny, interesting, informative, and an all around joy to be around for our three hour tour. He shared lots of information on our surroundings, asked a lot of questions about our trip, and made a lot of great recommendations for our stay near Zion. Seeing crowds of tourists in identical boots carrying the same poles felt like classic herd behavior and an unnecessary upsell. I was wrong. The rocks in The Narrows are uneven, slippery, and constantly changing. The boots provided great traction, and the pole was invaluable for both balance and gauging water depth. Could you buy cheaper gear for about the same price? Probably. But it likely wouldn't be as good, and you'd have to carry it around. Sometimes there's a good reason to follow the herd. This was one of those times.

Even though they are not doing guides at the Zion itself they are "selling it". Therefore and because the weather forecast did not look to good for the whole area they recommended the north wash area. We went in the same corner were the movie was made with the guy who got stuck in the canyon and cut off his arm. But we did not know that at that time. But here comes the thing they put money first before safety! We asked several times if it is safe to go and if it wouldn't be better to cancel because of weather. They refused. We went in an area he had no clue in which fork we went for Canyoneering. And afterwards I discovered that the locals there had cancelled all trips for that weekend due weather forecast and storm. He put us right into it!!!! We trusted them and their experience!!! They clearly don't have. They may be climbers but that does not help if you don't know the area We spend the night stuck in the canyon after exhausting hours climbing through the canyon through way to narrow spots. And we went right into a flash flood!! And whole night of thunderstorms and rain, clustered together on an edge under us above us everywhere water. Our phones died because our guide did not have light with him and he refused later reimburse our stuff. Our fault he said. Our trip took us almost 30 hours of nightmare. And next morning a rescue team where on their way to look for us not because the company was worried no because nice people next to our camping ground realized we did not come back before the storm started. Make sure you book trip with locals and they do trips in an area they really know! By they way we did not get an apology just a free trip for a better experience instead of money back (we asked for our money back to donate somewhere because they clearly did not deserve it)! When the Zion Canyon Shuttle is running, Weeping Rock is shuttle stop #7…read more This trail is pretty short at 0.4 miles, but it is pretty steep with stairs at the end! If you are fit and fast, maybe you could do it in 10 minutes, but if you want to enjoy a slower pace or have small kids, maybe budget closer to 45 minutes. This area drips continuously since the Navajo Sandstone layer is porous like a sponge and so water runs through it and seeps out due to gravity. Do not expect a waterfall at the end of this hike. Standing in the alcove, you can see down the valley and admire Angels Landing, the Great White Throne, etc. The hike is definitely unique and worth checking out if you have some time in your schedule. It does get crowded and there were a bunch of people filming themselves at the end of the trail (for social media?) so if you're looking for solitude this place isn't it.

Weeping Rock was one of my favorite hikes at Zion National Park!…read more It's considered an easy trail, but just a heads up, it is steep going up. It's not a long hike at all, but that incline definitely caught me a little off guard. If you take your time, though, it's very doable and completely worth it. You get to it from shuttle stop #7, so it's easy to add into your day if you're already using the Zion shuttle. Once you make your way up, the view is beautiful. You get this really pretty look at Zion, and then you have the water dripping down from the rocks, almost like little waterfalls. That part was my favorite. It felt peaceful, cool, and different from the other stops I visited in the park. There's just something about standing there with the canyon around you and the water coming down that makes it feel special! Even with the steep walk up, I'm so glad I did this trail! It was short, scenic, and ended up being one of the most memorable parts of my Zion trip! If Weeping Rock is open when you visit, I'd definitely make time for it.

It begins and ends at a shuttle stop, so if you're too tired to walk back, just take the shuttle! If you want something more, you can continue on with the Emerald Pools and Kayenta Trails to create a loop. Overall nice, easy, and well maintained trail.

September 2, 2026 - Zion National Park, Utah…read more This is a nice little hike, about a mile between Shuttle Stop #6 (The Grotto) and Shuttle Stop #5 (the Lodge). I was actually pretty excited to see "The Grotto," imagining some mossy little cave or rock formation that we'd get to hike into. Nope! Turns out, the Grotto Trail is named for The Grotto, which is simply the destination at the end of the trail--not a cave or grotto at all. So, false advertising in my imagination. Once we figured that out, we enjoyed the easy, shaded trail. There's plenty of beautiful scenery along the way, and we even spotted a family of three deer hanging out alongside the trail, which was definitely a highlight. Overall, it's a great easy hike if you're looking for something relaxing without a lot of elevation gain. We walked on to the Lodge, checked out the gift shop, and then decided we still needed a little more exercise, so we continued on to the Emerald Pools Trail. Definitely worth doing if you're in the area and looking for an easy, scenic hike.
