Our horse for our 2 hour ride
    Jennifer D.

This is a family own, good experience, was very satisfied. We had small talk with the owner, would recommend- no bells and whistle just a horse ride with views.

Nice wranglers, beautiful horses, awesome scenic trail ! Very reasonably priced, 10/10 experience and we will most definitely stop by again when we come back thru town!

The date of service was on Sunday July 26, 2020 at the ranch location. Reservations were made the day before for an early morning horseback ride. I highly recommend this company. My husband and daughter had a great riding experience. The horses were very well trained, maintained, strong and great looking horses. The staff is very professional, friendly and accommodating. Pricing is very reasonable for the great service and experience provided. The trail scenic views were amazing!

Beautiful Scenery and tons of fun!!!

I have been on several trail rides and this one was by far the best I have ever been on! We weren't just stuck in a straight line on a flat boring trail. We were able to break off a little and could go on more exciting and adventurous trails if we chose to. Dell and his son Tyrell were wonderful to work with and matched each rider with the horse according to their riding experience. I highly recommend them to everyone and we will definitely be returning for many more rides.

Dell and his staff were very accommodating when my two kids decided they wanted to go a horse ride. The young man and young lady who accompanied them on their trail ride were very nice and ensured my kids were safe. They showed them the beautiful Southern Utah backcountry. Although we went on other tours & adventures, my son claims this was the best part of our trip. Thank you so much! Now what I know this is a Bed & Breakfast place, we'll be sure to include it next time we head to Zion National Park.

Dell pointed out the sights and also gave us plenty of quiet space to just enjoy the horses and the views.

Absolutely worth every penny, every minute of our time spent on the ranch, and all the seconds over…read morethe phone with Jackson! There is a reason to everything that they tell you, and the process you go through to get to the most rewarding experience with these beautiful horses. If you lack patience, discipline, and are only looking for instant gratification, this experience is not for you. If you're not going to listen, and are not open - this experience is not for you. From the start, Jackson sets the pace for the process. Do NOT come here expecting your hand to be held. You need to hold your own and it's for good cause. This was the most beautiful experience that my family and I could ever have together with such amazing animals. You will be wrecked, because no other place does it like they do at Jacob's Ranch. What Josh, Michelle, and Annika do is so special. Jackson isn't lying when he says it's not a nose to tail experience. Be ready to get down and dirty, to work, and be a leader. We will never forget this experience and I don't recommend it for everyone but I do recommend it to those who are open and willing to learn and reap the rewards. My family and I never worked with horses, never been up this close to horses, and most especially never rode horses like this before. At the end of the day, we could proudly say that we did it! We rode them up and down hills, through narrow trails, trotted through open dessert, while the sun was high in the sky till it was beginning to set for the night. We were on this journey with a couple from SC, who have been on horse rides all over the world and they said they've never been to a place like Jacob's Ranch. Needless to say, at the end of the day- we were all so proud of ourselves and amazed at the adventure we had together!

Jakson will talk for nearly an hour yet tell you nearly zero details about the ride, he kept me on…read morethe phone forever without giving me any clear information. Instead, he insulted me, saying I "don't know anything because of my age," and bizarrely tried to convince me to read the Quran while speaking poorly about other religions, and political stances, totally unprofessional and inappropriate for a business call. After the call, he rang me back 20 minutes later acting like he didn't remember me and insisted I sit through a 30-minute "discussion" about what the experience entails. Yet every time I said I was ready to hear it, he wouldn't stop with his condescending and abusive remarks. At that point, I realized booking with them wasn't worth the frustration. Based on other reviews, this is clearly a pattern, very odd, avoid at all costs!!

We had a great time on both! Our guides, Keith and Ken, were personable and knowledgeable. Booking was easy and efficient, even when we had to make changes. Their UTVs for Peek A Boo ran great, as did their brand new Suburban Ken drove out to White Pocket. We highly recommend this company!

What a great time we had on our excursion navigating through the high desert of "Pick a Boo…read moreCanyon", our guide was J.c. and let me tell you this gentleman was a fantastic guide/host of our excursion. J.c. holds a wealth of knowledge and experience of the lay of the land, we were a party of four in one utv and there was a party of two in another utv, with J.c. leading the way through twist and turns to get to the canyon, the ride to get there was a great experience in its self!, it was a bumpy ride but that's the lay of the land!, your going to get dusty and dirty so expect it, and you need closed toe shoes as well. It's about a 15 minute ride from the base to the entrance to the canyon and well worth the ride!!, but when you get to the canyon that's where nature and J.c. wow you with such grand beauty and the wealth of knowledge that J.c. shares with you and the hike that you take through the canyon, nothing strenuous or stressful at all. You spend time exploring through the canyon and that's where you can take great pictures of the walls and the different topography that is there!, the weather was mild, mid to high seventy's so your comfortable in light layers, but again you will be dusty/ dirty but it's well worth it, pricing if fair, so make sure you book with them for any specials or discounts that are available, it's about a two hour excursion, so you really get your $$$ worth. So do your self a favor and book with this company and book one of the many excursion that is available to you!, again or guide/ host was J.c. super cool guy, and I know everyone else there that are guides are great as well, but J.c. was our guy.

They are in the rec building on the Zion ponderosa property, and have lots of gear and gifts for sale inside the area where you check in to get your shuttle ticket. Note there are only two bathrooms and most folks wanted to use them before we left for our ride to the trail head so you may have to wait a bit to use it! The ranch folks also seem to have breakfast in an adjacent room so there were people coming to and fro. The check in area to get your ticket is easy to find and the staff explain where to go/get picked up etc both there and while driving you out to the trailhead (ie you won't be confused about where to go). They charge $8pp round trip and the roads are HORRENDOUS so definitely if you want to make the hike, I'd use these folks. They have a shuttle service to the cable car area too.
