best horse riding experience we've ever had. it was me and my seven kids, the youngest had never ridden The guides put our youngest rider (age 7) on Biggun, the gentlest big boy, and put me (I have lots of riding experience) on the fiesty Susan...saving all the more chill horses for my other kids. our guides were helpful and very easy going. the trail was beautiful and the 30 min ride was perfect...although had we known how kind and relaxed our guides would be, we would have signed up for a longer ride. we've had experiences at other ranches with bossy and impatient guides and this place is NOT like that. bonus: two highland cows to gawk at on the way in and out of the ranch. read more

What an incredibly fun adventure for the whole family! I wasn't sure how my kids would do so I booked the Juniper trail as it was the shortest ride. By the end, everyone agreed we would definitely should have booked a longer trail. Our wrangler, Avery, was amazing. At first, I raised a questioning eyebrow because she put my youngest child on the biggest horse. But she explained that horse assignments were based on horse personality and rider's experience. That big horse was the gentlest one. Avery set a very nice pace that was slow enough to make us feel confident in the saddle yet fast enough that it felt like a real horse ride. Please be aware Apple Maps was entirely wrong (as of December 2023). You have to use Google Maps for the correct location. read more

Rising K Ranch topped off our day after hiking The Narrows in Zion. You might think nothing could follow The Narrows - Rising K Ranch was the icing on the cakenof a perfect day! First of all we were greeted by 3 lovely dogs and a nice gentleman who made us feel right at home on their beautiful property with a majestic mountain backdrop for scenery. Casey introduced herself as our wrangler and got us paired up with compatible horses. She took us on a gorgeous ride to match our skill level, took pictures of us, and graciously shared a small piece of her world with us. If life ever brings me this way again, I will for sure be back. Was pleasantly surprised to find the horseback ride came with loving dogs that joined along on the ride. Happy to say that the animals on this property were all in wonderful conditions. Unfortunately not all animal related businesses operate with the animal's health in mind. Rising K met our expectations and then some. Knowledgeable staff, easy to book our ride and they matched my daughter and I with horses that suited our abilities (or lack thereof lol) We did half day ride and will definitely be back to pet Willow the puppy and go on a full day ride up the mountain. read more

This was such a fun experience! Lydia was my tour guide and she was incredible. We had wonderful conversations while riding along the trails. I am pretty comfortable on horses, but it had been awhile since I'd ridden and she made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I went solo, but I would recommend any size group to this ranch if you're looking for a nice ride with beautiful scenery! My horse, Biggins, was so calm and friendly. We came to Utah in search of snow so when that didn't work out we decided to look into horse riding. My family is pretty experienced so I know my daughter was worried that it would be all walking, but the trail ride was fun for all of us. There's a lot of horses to choose from based on skill and clay even taught us how to work them in the round pen. The ride was a blast for all of us. I thought 4.5 hours would've been enough, but I never wanted it to end. Well except my knees were hurting haha. read more

Nobody there seems to be in any kind of rush with paying customers. We had to wait around awhile for our horses to get ready. It was a nice ride but it would of been nicer if the guide talked to us or about the area we were in. He was quiet but then again he was playing with his phone during the ride. read more

3 of 9 people in our group got bucked off their horses. Stay away from Jessie and Cousins! Even one of the sisters (older sister) got tossed off her horse. Our group of 19 had a great time riding horses w Klay and Kelly! Klay was very accommodating and flexible with getting us in as we had to adjust our schedules. Couple of times. There were 7 adults and 12 kids ranging from 5 to 12 years old and everyone did great! The kids especially loved it! The scenery is beautiful and it's a nice, relaxing, long ride. I took my three young kids (7, 5 and 3) to Rising K for the one hour trail ride. My five year old is deeply afraid of most animals, but she loves the idea of horses. When I called to schedule the ride, I mentioned that I wasn't even sure if my city kids would get on a horse. Clay was so calm and confident with the kids. All three of them stayed in the saddle and rode even though they were nervous at the beginning. We had a great ride and they are all asking when we can go back. My five year old even petted the horses and helped lead them back to the corral at the end of the ride. This was a true 5-star experience for us. read more

5 stars hands down. We came for a promotion that was posted on Facebook , and the interaction was very nice and polite , as well as informative . We got our times and confirmation within minutes . Upon arrival, Kelly was very welcoming and explained everything to us. From the waiver forms , which were super easy to understand , to the actual instructions of riding and getting back on the horse (no pun intended), Kelly was an awesome guide . We had a group of 4 in our group, and one of the guys got a horse which was being alittle "fussy" , so Kelly gladly gave him her horse in exchange to ride the fussy horse and make it easier for the rider to enjoy the view. We had tons of fun asking questions , getting to know our horses and looking around the ranch. It felt more like we were visiting a friends house than a simple "pay and get out" type of service. We had the most unfortunate experience over Memorial Day weekend. We were pushed back from our 1:00 pm booking to 3:30 pm. We took our 11 year old daughter and 9 year old son on this adventure. My daughters saddle was not properly secured. On the way back to the ranch, the saddle came loose and fell off the horse along with my daughter. She landed on her left side with the wind knocked out of her pretty good. Klay came to the rear to assist my daughter. When he dismounted his horse, his horse began to run off towards the house/ranch. Since this is the leader horse, our 9 year old sons horse and other horses began to run toward the house as well. Our 9 year old son was screaming in terror and made the brave decision to jump off the running horse. A gentleman with us jumped off his horse to attend to our son and carried him in his arms back to where we were attending my daughter that had fallen off. 3 horses returned to the ranch with no riders. 4 out of 7 of us ended up having to walk back to the ranch. The owners did not offer any type of medical attention. They did not offer us water after having to walk back. When I explained the situation to the female owner, she responded with "shoot". Klay did not properly secure my daughters saddle causing her to fall, did not properly have trained horses, and did not properly pick out the correct horse for the skill level and age of each rider. The horses were temperamental and often did not follow the direction of the lead/reins....I do not recommend this place for families with young children. The horses jumped over a small river and one of the adult male riders nearly fell off and temporarily dislocated his shoulder due to the horse. Stay far, far away from this place! read more
