Funniest experience. Daniel our guide was knowledgeable and felt always safe even with a whiteout. I highly recommend !!

By far the BEST adventure vacation experience I've had. This was so much fun and our guide Tom was the absolute best! He took us to a bunch of cool spots. Took great pics. And was very helping and patient with us. It was our first time on a snowmobile so we fell a couple of times and he never got tired helping us get back up. They also have hot chocolate and coffee in their station so you can get warm before and after. Everyone who helped us was super nice. There was a snow storm a couple of days before so due to closed roads we were almost an hour and half late and when we realized we weren't going to make it on time we called and they nicely moved our time with no issue. I couldn't recommend this place more. Make sure you ask for Tom and tip your tour guide at the end!

First time snowmobiler and had an amazing experience all around. Booked for 12/30/2024. I booked this experience months ago and reached out to them worried about there being enough snow for the experience. They reassured me there would be snow and they were right! Being born and raised in Florida, I have limited snow experience and no snowmobiling experience whatsoever. My son also had no experience and we booked the 3 hour tour- 3 snowmobiles. One for each of us. 1pm tour. We arrived a tad early to get our gear- snow pants and boots. I had fleece lined hiking pants I got off Amazon I had been wearing for my National park hikes I feel I could have used those, but I had already paid for the rentals so I went with the pants and boots. Helmets are provided. I would buy a balaclava or something to cover your neck and face. We did and they were fantastic. I ended up using that to cover my lower face and the shield from the helmet and it was perfect. I wore layers and wasn't cold at all. Orientation was quick and easy and I was worried about me and my son's ability due to our inexperience. We caught on quickly and I was soon standing during the ride. I found it easier to stand than sit on the snowmobile! We visited several lookout points and the guide, Tom, took photos for me at every opportunity. He was super informative and answered all my questions. We had a bathroom break too! This was by far the best experience I have ever had and I am currently searching Zillow and Realtor to find homes so I can buy something in an area with snow so I can have a snowmobile. My son did "crash" his snowmobile while turning a corner but he was fine and so was the snowmobile. As long as you follow instructions and enjoy the ride you will have an unforgettable experience! Can't wait to do this again!!!!

Thunder Mountain Motorsports is an amazing tour company and should be a must on your to do list when you're visiting Brianhead. TMM offers snowmobiling tours that range from 1.5 hours to 3 hours long and they take you all over the must see scenic spots in Brianhead. Our group decided to do the 1.5 hour tour and we absolutely enjoyed every minute of our experience. Our tour guide Tavid was very thorough and walked us through the safe handling of our individual snowmobiles before taking us out on the tour. He was professional and a fun guide that lead our group on a great winter adventure through Brianhead. Honestly I can stress enough how fun this tour was. Would recommend for every person who wants to do something adventurous and outdoors. It's family friendly too and children can ride on the two seat snowmobiles with their parents for a small extra fee. They have helmets and all the gear you need to that'll make you warm and ready for your winter excursion. Looking forward to snowmobiling with this company again the next time we're in town!

Had a great time riding through the mountains with Tom, our guide. The price was reasonable and the bikes were in great shape. Highly recommend and would go back.

First time driving a snowmobile & we loved it! My husband & I chose the 1.5hr tour. Our tour guide was great, we had so much fun & the prices are super affordable. It was $105 per machine, $20 for the passenger, so a total of $125 for the both of us. We stopped many times to wait for others to catch up, which gave us many chances to switch places so we both can drive. We also made a few stops to take pictures. I would definitely do this tour again the next time we're in Brian head. They have plenty of parking & offer complimentary coffee & hot cocoa after the tour. They have clean restrooms in the building where you check-in. They provide helmets with face shields to help block the wind. Make sure you wear sunglasses to help block the sun from your eyes & wear gloves to help keep your hands warm. The snow mobiles have adjustable heated hand bars, but the gloves will help keep the top of your hands warm. We did the last tour at 3p, it felt warm the first half of the tour but when the sunset, it felt colder the 2nd half of the tour. I highly recommend this place, the snow mobiles were easy to drive & it was so much fun!

There is a reason that this excursion is so highly rated and it is a credit to the staff! Our guide was awesome, as it seems the entire team is. Focused on safety but also touring based on the group's experience level. We had so much fun ripping around the open meadow to get more comfortable on the snowmobiles, and the view from the summit ridge on the guided tour was stunning.

We had a great time and the snowmobiles were a blast! The staff were very friendly and we had a wonderful time with Carter our guide. He was very informative and he took us to spots that had unbelievable views. Looking forward to our next trip up to Brian Head and Thunder Mountain will definitely be on our list!

My husband and I wanted to come here and we finally made it happen! This was our first time riding a snowmobile! We parked in the open parking lot and went inside to check in. The ladies at the front register was very helpful. They signed us in and gave us a waiver to sign. Afterwards, we went to the back where we were given helmets. We made our way outside to meet our tour guide. Tom was our tour guide and there was just a total 3 of us: me, my husband and Tom on the tour. Tom was friendly and helpful but at times a little bit pushy. He told us to pick up the speed a few times... which we didn't like since this was our first time on a snowmobile and we wanted to keep safe and get to know how to maneuver it first before giving it some speed. I mean, eventually we got the hang of it. My husband got stuck in one section of the open field because the snow was too deep. Tom was able to help him out. Thank goodness for that! We were headed to the last peak and was told by Tom that it was nicest view... but we weren't able to make it. Tom got stuck and we all needed to help and try get the snowmobile out... but unfortunately we couldn't. It was too deep in the snow. It was toward the end of our tour, so instead of going to the last peak we had to go back to the shop and return the snowmobiles. I really wish we were able to see the last peak because I've seen photos on Yelp of it and it looked so beautiful, but it's okay as long as we were all safe and back in one piece. When we got back to the shop, we returned the helmets and they offered us hot cocoa. Overall, the views were soooo beautiful! It was like a winter wonderland! I definitely would be back here again! Thanks for the great experience!

Since we were up in Brian's head for ski trip. We decided to do snowmobiling. Great experience!! All of us never did this before. It was easy and fun. Kids enjoyed it. Our tour guide was great and funny- Kaydan. Definitely will do this again my boy turns 16 so he can drive.

From start to finish it was awesome working with Thunder Mountain. Booking as well as check in upon arrival was super easy and straightforward. Randell, our guide, was very informative, telling us everything we needed to know. According to him it was a challenging day for snowmobiling, with icy conditions, however with him as our guide he made it a super fun and an unforgettable experience! To wrap things up we were able to hang out on their cozy couches with hot drinks. We will most definitely be back with Thunder Mountain and would love to work with Randell again!

So my son has been itching to ride ATVs for the longest time. Due to his not having a license or…read morecosts, we just were not able to pull it off. He got to do it finally at scout camp, and has been wanting to go again now that he is of age and has a license. While here on vacation, American ATV Rentals fit our needs and the almost full day trip was quite the experience. Owners David and Tina were most professional and helpful with every step of our excursion. We had a lot of choices to make. First was what kind of vehicles were we going to use. They had the ATVs, 2 and 4-seaters, and some were meant for those over 200lbs which we all needed (slight extra charge for that). We also had to decide what length of "tour" we wanted. We had three drivers and four people, so we went with a two-seater and two ATVs all with the upgraded suspension for the weight. We then chose the 4 hour tour which for most should be the right amount of time for the 44 or so mile loop or back and forth from just about the midpoint. The course was explained and different points of interest and also points of reference to not get lost. I'm glad my wife was our guide on this trip! Next was the safety equipment. We were all provided with helmets and goggles all of which fit well and snug over glasses without any problems. They also provide gloves. All must be worn 100% of the time you're riding or else. They also will provide backpacks and bungee cords. They sell water if needed. We then went outside and got acquainted with our vehicles. How to start them, put in gear, brakes, and rules of the road. We were then on our way! David brought us to a point, gave a more detailed explanation of the course and what to look for. Only at the time we left did our "4-hour tour" time start. We were expected at the end to top off all gas tanks (high grade fuel only) and come back to the business. The trip along so many different views and geological points was awesome. And then almost right at the start I rolled my machine on the side. The gas tank cover came off and I was spilling fuel. Thankfully I wasn't seriously hurt and got up quickly to put it back on four wheels. It drove just fine and I didn't have a flat. I just had some brush burn and a small cut on my elbow. The other negative was just past the 3/4 mark. My son's ATV just stopped and would not move in gear. It revved up but would not engage in gear forward or backward. We ended up pulling out the tow strap on the two-seater and towed it in neutral the final few miles. I had to apologize to my kid for all the dust. You are allowed to stop anywhere for pictures and if you want a souvenir you can take it as you're not in the State park. We did not see any others on our whole route...just some cows. We finally made it to the gas station almost next door to the ATV business, topped off the tanks, and made it back. I was pleased as punch that the ATV I rolled made it back. My wife and I changed at the midpoint so I drove and eventually towed the broken ATV in the two seater, and my wife drove the rolled ATV. Once back (about 25 minutes late due to the issues) I explained our problems on the trip and David was understanding. I did have to pay a 20% depreciation cost for the damage I caused to the ATV. We weren't charged for the issue with the other ATV. This was within the contract we signed and waivers. It was less than I expected, and we just made it work. Overall, my whole family had a great time driving even with the issues we experienced. Some pointers I highly recommend: wear long sleeves, pants, and boots (not sneakers). You will get very dusty. Bring a lot of water and maybe snacks or sandwiches. Remember, however, time stopped does not extend your tour time. The sun beats down and you will get sunburned. There's very little shaded areas. We were told when we asked that the routes we took were classified as mostly beginner to some intermediate level driving. 25mph maximum based on Utah laws, but you're not doing that on these trails. My family and I highly recommend American ATV Rentals for a fun time. It's not cheap, but it was worth the experience! $1000 for the two ATVs and two seater for a four hour tour, safety review, map review, and you have to gas them up before returning them with premium fuel. I also paid a bonus $175 for the 20% of depreciation costs of the damaged parts. Oh well. The shower once we got home and two Tylenol was awesome.
