This man who represents U-Haul Corporation is void of any personality commensurate with his position; he should be their night janitor. When I arrived for pickup Brent was with a customer, I asked if I could go out and inspect a few of the covered trailers that I was to rent he said sure. I looked and found a 4x8 covered cargo trailer that was clean with nice wheels and tires, all the others were a bit shabby looking. After the previous customer left he began my rental process. I requested the clean trailer mentioned above including the trailer number. He said I couldn't have it I had to take the FIRST ONE. When Brent retrieved the trailer he picked for me I pointed out that the one I wanted was the FIRST ONE, he said there was something in front of it requiring him to take a different one. What was in front of it was a two wheel car trailer requiring 10 seconds to move, I would have moved it if he had thought it too burdensome. I ended up with a dirty trailer inside and out, rusty wheel bolts and not so good looking tires. I have used U-Haul several times in different cities and this is by far my worst experience. If during the 1,100 miles of my intended travel anything happens because of this trailer it will cost U-Haul Corporation big time! I didn't want this trailer but they refused to give me what I wanted.

Ryan & his lovely wife (in embarrassed that I cannot remember her name) we helpful throughout. They gave us advice on where to go and which routes to avoid. The gas was full. The propane was full. The RV was super clean. Ryan filled the water tank per my request but now that I've done a trip, I believe he was right in not needing to lug around the extra 500 lbs of water since we returned it with 2/3 full. With full hookups at each site, you don't need much reserve. Anyway, live & learn. I mention the water because I see another reviewer here marked that as a negative but now I understand why most prefer little or no on board water. We'll be back for sure. We should be supporting these family run businesses!

Worst customer service- EVER!!!!! Do not rent from this company! Renter beware- horrible business…read more I called to inquire about renting a razor to drive from St George to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. I told the gentleman who worked for Red Desert that I wanted to rent the vehicle from their facility and drive to my home located in Washington fields- and then drive from my home to the BLM land through to the Grand Canyon. The employee never mentioned anything to me about their razors not being street legal to take on the public streets... yet I was very clear exactly where I planned and wanted to take the razor and he told me what vehicle to rent from his business. After renting- we realized that we aren't able to take the razor where we had planned because their razors aren't registered to drive on the roads- yet they knew full well what purpose I was using it for and where I planned to take it. After expressing this to them- they would not refund our $700 and still charged us for 2 days on a vehicle we could not even use because they misinformed us. I've never been treated so poorly from a business who couldn't care less about the situation that they put us in.
