The drive from Vegas is an hour long straight shot up the I-15, once you do get into Moapa drive slow and carefully. There are a lot of speed traps waiting for visitors and the last portion of the drive here is windy and unpaved. Definitely not the most visitor friendly drive. There are lots of activities to do here and they offer several wristband packages to bundle experiences. We opted for the white wristbands ($34/pp) which include all general admission activities, the haunted maze, the haunted hayride and 2 turns at the corn shot. The maze had about a 30-45 minute wait when we got there and the wait got longer from there, but in my opinion it was worth it. We had some good screams and laughs and got through the maze pretty quickly. The haunted hayride honestly was a dud, but it was nice to sit down for a while after standing so long for the maze. They could honestly just stick to a regular fall themed hayride. They also had a bunch of other activities that were included in general admission ($12) like swings, pig races, a small petting zoo, and more. There was plenty to do, but in the future I would probably save a little bit of money and only opt into the maze. I was a bit disappointed in the food selection here. They catered very heavily towards fall fair like desserts, but didn't offer much in terms of actual food. We still did order the fried apple slices and a deep fried cheesecake, along with a couple of hotdogs. I was sorely disappointed by the apples slices because there just tasted like fried dough, the apple almost disintegrated and disappeared after the frying process. What stood out immediately was how well cared for the horses were, something that, unfortunately, isn't always the case with some trail ride operations. These horses were calm, responsive, and clearly well-trained. They rode comfortably on a loose rein and handled the terrain with impressive skill, navigating ascents, descents, and narrow canyon trails with confidence. Their sure-footedness on the rocky sections was especially reassuring. It's clear this is not just a tourist ride, it's a thoughtfully run operation with a real respect for the horses and the riding experience. For anyone with prior horse experience (or even those new to it), this is truly a step above the typical trail ride. I would absolutely do this again.

I made a phone call and spoke with Patty, who gave me a few options of times for our ride. We had a group of three-two adults and a teenager. (On the day of the ride, we we met another group of three that joined us.) She gave me instructions on where to go on the day of our ride, and sent them again via text with GPS coordinates so we could easily meet our guide. Mike, our guide, was fantastic. He was friendly, took some time up front to give us a quick orientation and then asked each of us about our horse riding experience so he could match us up with an appropriate horse. He was patient with us, as some of us had very little experience. The trail itself was not all the way flat, but not so challenging that a novice rider would struggle. There are a few areas where we went up hill and then a few where we went down. Mike advised us on proper posture to make it easier on the horse as we navigated some of that hilly terrain. At one point, he recognized that the teen in the group was getting a little frustrated with his horse. He gave him some instruction and then engaged him in conversation about music-something they had in common. I appreciated that Mike was able to include everyone in the group in some way. He's a good dude. After the ride, we were given some carrots to feed our horses. I loved that part! I think the horses appreciated it too. This may not be an activity that we will do every time we visit St. George, but it will definitely be on that we remember forever and bring along some friends to show them the beauty of Snow Canyon from a different perspective.
