Apparently there are a few airshows that they hold throughout the year and at that time they have tons more planes. The lady told us that we had just missed that about a month earlier. But they still had a couple of the planes that flew in still there. They have a few you can walk up inside sit in the seat, etc. Lots of information if you're an aviation buff a couple of cool things we were told as the uniform there was from the top gun movie that was donated. All and all a nice little stop if you're close by or if you fly into the airport nearby, check their hours and give them a visit and donate.

Onboard the Candy Dropper airplane is the history of a truly humanitarian pilot that broke some rules to enhance the lives of others! The two small pilot trainers are a bit of history that we'd never seen before, sadly one will be leaving the museum shortly. There's a small gift shop inside the hangar with souvenirs and memorabilia. Highly recommend a visit if you're in the area.

If not, you might want to take another look. In the downtown area, a lot of work has gone in to preserving old historic buildings. Back in the 90's, Woodward was also known as the "sixth grade center" where kids from all the neighboring elementary schools were bussed for that one year of their education before graduating to middle school. The buildings were old and FULL of character. Today, those buildings are repurposed into different things-it's no longer the campus for just one school. The grounds are immaculately kept and you'll find a lovely water feature, art exhibits and even a carousel in the park. Take a walk across the street to Judd's store. That old building houses some of the finest treats and breadsticks in town. It's surrounded by other historic buildings as well. Lot's of Mormon pioneer history down here. This is a pretty cool little part of town-and full of stories. Do yourself a favor and check it out next time you are passing through.

We were a bit early for lunch, they were changing over from breakfast to lunch (sorry can't remember what time we went there, maybe 11:30). Wow what a difference! Beautiful remodel. The main area had small tables with black tablecloths. It had the look of a classy cocktail lounge with a stage. When we were there they were doing sound check for their dueling pianos that evening. We weren't able to come back that evening, but what we heard was really nice. We shared a sandwich and had a couple of beers. Good service (only one server/bartender) we were never looking for our server. Yes, this is a 21 and over venue so make sure you have your ID with you. We are hoping that the venue will be able to be able to last through it's growing pains and becomes a well attended venue. Give it a try.

Only one server. They pour your liquor (before noon?) and you finish off your drink with whatever. There were fruit (cantaloupe and grapes) and yogurt. Juice was orange that the server provided. Coffee though included had to be requested. I'm a black coffee drinker but it tasted like a dark roasted pure espresso...bitter. I had the eggs benedict (had NO HOLLANDAISE SAUCE) and the ham was deli ham, certainly not Canadian Bacon. It was 2 poached eggs sitting on a slice of ham sitting on an English Muffin. Poached eggs were perfect, but it needed to be finished. My companion had bacon, toast, fried eggs. There were no potatoes or any sides, and the plates were not finished in any way. While this may have been the maiden launch of the Sunday Brunch, I'm sure the owner will discover a more efficient way to move the traffic and provide a breakfast that diners will want to return to. Perhaps a more "serve yourself" along with an attending "egg station". We were going to have a sample pancake and sausage, but the server presented our check and it really was time to leave. Learn the exciting history of Utah's Cotton Mission and how the area came to be known as "Dixie", the pioneer struggle of creating a community out of nothing, how the firstcomers had to live out of their wagons and even went up to the red hill above town to live in caves which, incidentally, are still there in Saint George's Pioneer Park just above town to the north under the big "DIXIE" painted rock. There is a treasure trove of local native American artifacts. I have visited the museum many times and have always found my time spent there to be well worth it.
