It's a highlight for today. Definitely highly recommended! To get into the state park, you will need to pay a fee, we paid $20 for one vehicle. We setup a beach tent under a huge tree then went to the rental shop. They also sell ice cream in the shop. We brought our own floating and rent one paddle and kayak. The lake was pretty stable only the jet boats will make some waves so it's not hard to stay balanced on the paddle even for first timer. We really enjoyed! Great place to go during the summer especially during heat wave.

Bill, the owner of Dig Paddlesports is fantastic. I called up out of the blue asking to rent a pack raft, which is not something they even offer. Bill immediately jumped into action, offering me a pack raft he had left (he had recently sold his pack rafts). He drove to his house and waited for me to drive up from Kanab, which is 1.5 hours. He showed me how to inflate everything, went over all the parts, and made sure I knew how to use all the equipment. The next day, he offered to meet up with me in Hurricane closer to Zion and waited for me for quite a while. Our trip took longer than expected, so we returned the gear to Quail Creek. He was incredibly accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend his business.

    Garbage kayak

We rented a double kayak to do the Colorado river, from Glen Canyon to Lees Ferry. The river itself was beautiful but the rowing experience was horrible. The kayak was a heavy albatross with no aerodynamic lines. We were fortunate not to have headwinds or we would have needed rescue. Use someone else, but if you use him, don't rent the below kayak. Not even Walmart would sell this piece of garbage.

I loved getting to try different boards and seeing different locales

We had a ball. They got all of confident, from a 70-year-old to a plus-sized 35-ear-old who always falls off a paddle board! We all got exactly the experience we were looking for. Definitely coming back.

This place is super awesome. Rented a paddle board and a kayak for two hours. The dudes that worked there were cool. They helped us get acquainted with the board and kayak and gave us a little push to get us started on the water. In the two hours there, we had a lot of fun and enjoyed ourselves with the kayak and paddle board. For the price, this was a great deal and something we are definitely coming back for. Highly recommend!!

Amazing service, easily accessible, and decently priced! I am so happy that my family and I stumbled upon this place! We came here around 5:30pm to go paddleboarding and kayaking. We were helped by Ashlyn who gave us wonderful service and efficiently informed us on the proper usage of equipment as well as answered any questions we may have had.

Perfect way to spend an afternoon....

Convenient and great place to rent a paddle board. Quail Creek has nice water, but it is small and not much to explore.

Is it permitted to have dogs with us while renting your equipment ? Thank You

Mitch, Absolutely! We love dogs. Dogs should be on-leash in and around parking areas, transition areas from parking to beach. Our kayaks are all dog-friendly, and we have… Read more

What a thrill. Just got back from the 8 day motorized raft trip! Been waiting my whole adult life…read morefor this trip and it did not disappoint! Our guide Adam was the best. He knew the river and canyon backwards and forwards. He was a great storyteller and a wonderful guide and boatman. I always felt safe and he got us the best camping spots and the knew the best side canyons to explore. Swamper Orion was awesome. He was a great cook and a hard worker. We were never hungry! Both these guys were the best.

What can you say? This was glamping beyond my wildest expectations! The food was fresh every day,…read moretwo hot meals and a cold lunch each day, cold juice and soda beverages at any time. The guides, Glade and Hannah, were terrific, like personal chefs there to assure you had a great time and were safe. They aimed at the best part of every rapid- a real E-ticket ride. Some advice: 1. bring more alcohol-it was hot in August, probably 100, we are not big drinkers but 3-4 cold beers a day would sure have been nice, we ran out on day 6 2. wear light colored clothes if the weather is going to be warm 3. bring a walking stick, very helpful on the hikes scrambling over boulders and rocks 4. bring more alcohol 5. a waterproof day pack to have some gear readily accessible on the raft would have been nice 6. Have a set of river shoes, and a set of hiking shoes for shore excursions. My river shoes were great on wet rocks in the river, but tenuous at best when hiking 7. bring more alcohol 8. I balked at the sarong idea and regretted it, sarong would have been great to keep cool on the raft and to provide additional sun protection 9. Gel or spray on deodorant would have been nice, I brought body wash but it did not really cut it. 10. Consider going in May-mid July time frame when river is running clear. Once monsoon season starts in Arizona the river runs silty. Still a great trip. GCE is one of the few companies that provides cots and sleeping pads and sleeping bags as part of the experience, other companies might charge extra.
