Our family of three rented gear to hike the narrows and booked a canyoneering tour through Zion Guru. Both were excellent and easy. Our guide was Nate and he was fantastic. We had a great day with him (including our 9-year old daughter). Nate made the day enjoyable, educated us about Zion National Park, the surrounding area, and some info about the rock formations. He also gave us great options along the way to help us choose our own adventure. We will definitely be back and we will definitely reserve a guide again! read more

We booked e-bikes and a canyoneering tour. Booking process was very easy. our canyoneering guide Pierce was fantastic. One of the best experience I've ever had. Pierce is from the area and knows so much of the history. He explained everything and paid close attention to details. It is a private tour and catered to your skill level and ability. I can't say enough about how great this experience was for my boyfriend and I. We had so much fun! E-bike rental process was very quick and easy. We picked ours up the night before. The battery went a little low the next afternoon so we popped in for a quick battery exchange. E-bikes are definitely the way to travel around the park. Everyone at Zion Guru was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this business. read more

Renting from this company was easy and convenient. We reserved our e-bikes, water shoes, and walking stick online, and the process was smooth from start to finish. One thing to be aware of is that there is no parking at their shop, so you'll need to find nearby parking before heading over. The only feature I felt was missing was a cup holder. I noticed some other rental companies had them on their bikes, and it would have been helpful for holding my phone while stopping to take pictures along the way. That said, I really appreciated the large basket and the basket netting, which securely held my backpack throughout the ride. Overall, a great rental experience, and I would definitely rent from them again. read more

Shout out to Zion Guru for their excellent service, good equipment, and well-run system! We rented the dry bib package on Memorial Day weekend. Knew the place was going to be packed so we went a day early and were able to pick up our equipment by 2pm the day before. (Side note: if you rent the dry bibs, be prepared for serious self-doubt when you stand in line for the shuttle and see hundreds of people around you without bibs. Take heart, the water is very cold even at this time of year, and people without bibs usually can't go as far or as deep in the water, so you'll be glad you have the bibs, although I kinda missed being able to feel the water on my legs! Also whether or not you need the bib depends on the time of day you plan to go. We got to Zion early in the morning, and made it to the Narrows around 10:30, so it was still kind of cool. By the time we came back, it was 2pm and the sun was hot so I could imagine not needing a bib then!) Pickup was pretty fast, after we signed in we were able to get our equipment right away and tried them out for size. My husband exchanged his shoes for a larger pair but I'd say they were pretty spot on with sizing for the rest of us! We were in and out the door in less than 30 mins. After returning the bibs, I realized that I might have left my sunglasses in one of the inside pockets, so I called them to check. Even though they were handling a crowd at the time, somebody (Michelle) still picked up the phone and went to check for me, and called me back to tell me what they found (which weren't my glasses), for which I was incredibly grateful. In the end I found the glasses in my car. Thank you Zion Guru for being such a stellar company that provides impeccable service and a memorable experience all around. read more

Rent from Zion Guru! I highly recommend Zion Guru over other local outfitters. The service is significantly friendlier, and the gear quality is noticeably superior. The Gear Difference: The quality really shows when it matters most. My child is on the smaller side, but their gear fit him perfectly and kept him completely dry. For comparison, a friend rented from a competitor for their similarly sized child; the gear failed, and the poor kid ended up soaked in 50-degree snowmelt. Location & Booking: While they are a few blocks further from the Narrows entrance than some other shops, they are still right in Springdale and absolutely worth the extra minute of driving. Pro-Tip: While walk-ins are usually fine, I'd recommend reserving ahead next time just to skip the morning anxiety. read more

We had a great experience with Zion Guru E bikes and the Narrows equipment rental. Heard about them through a travel forum. Super easy to work with, you can reserve everything you need online ahead of time. Very easy to communicate with as well. They were very friendly, and always offering to help you navigate the park, etc. 100% would give them my business again. They have kids sizes for everything, including Narrows footwear. read more

We rented Narrows hiking gear and e-bikes from this place. The customer service was great--we originally reserved the Narrows gear for a day that ended up having a high flash flood warning, and the employees switched our reservation date at no cost when we asked. Pick up and drop off of gear was super easy. The e-bikes that we rented were in good repair, but only have one gear so you cant shift up and down to adjust the difficulty level--you can only adjust the pedal assist level. read more

Review in one word: INCREDIBLE! My wife and I rented e-bikes for ourselves and our 3 sons to explore Zion. While it cost a fair chunk of money, it was worth every penny. The memories we made would have been unimaginable had we taken the Zion shuttle instead of e-bikes. The bikes provided by Zion Guru were top quality, in great working order and included convenient cargo baskets and comfortable helmets. Conveniently located less than a mile from Zion National Park entrance, we were able to travel around more than 25 miles of the park with the wind in our face and unobstructed views of the natural beauty. Very satisfied, and we would absolutely rent from them again. read more

If there's one tip you need when visiting Zion National Park, it's this: rent an e-bike for the full day. Absolute game changer. This shop had excellent customer service and high-quality rentals, plus an impressive selection of helmets in different sizes and colors. Pricing was around $90 for a full-day adult bike, which felt fair for what you get. The employee explained that the battery lasts about 30 miles, includes a headlight for after dark, and has five speed settings. One important tip: turn your speed setting back down when you stop, otherwise you'll jolt forward when you start again (learned that quickly ). For reference, the canyon ride is about 9 miles one way, and we only used one battery notch total for the ride there and back. The bikes are a little heavy at first, but once you get the hang of it, cruising down the canyon on an almost empty road is honestly so much fun. A few helpful tips they shared: - If there aren't bike racks available, you can chain your bikes together - Watch the safety video -- it's actually useful - Check your brake angle before heading out; they can adjust it for you - There are bike tool stations inside the canyon if needed - The seats can get a bit uncomfortable after a few hours, so plan accordingly The shop is about 1.5 miles from the park entrance. There are closer rental options, but this one stood out for its bike quality, helmets, and service, so I'd still highly recommend it. For a full-day rental, you can request early pickup, and returns are due before 7 pm (as of December 2025). Overall, renting an e-bike made our Zion experience unforgettable -- 10/10 would do it again. read more

Zion is a beautiful national park that everyone should go to, but if we're being honest, you NEED to rent from here. Everything was super easy and the staff were very helpful. We opted for the Narrows gear with boots, socks and a stick which was honestly all we needed as we brought our own dry bag. But they did have a lot more options if you needed them. The real winner was the ebike rental though. It is a little pricey but riding through the park on the bikes was a top-tier experience. Words don't really do it justice but if you find yourself in Zion, do yourself a favor and try to rent from here! read more

My girls group rented from Zion Guru after learning that their waterproof bib and neoprene socks are all once piece - connected so in theory you won't get wet. We found the bib and shoes were all clean and comfortable. I have wide feet and the shoes still fit very well and didn't cause any pain throughout our hike. The staff also gives you a short presentation about the Narrows hike and you can ask questions and ask for suggestions then. Overall it was money well spent to stay dry and safe from slipping. read more

All of the staff was exceptional given it was super busy when we walked in. They helped me with the wavior and got us into our boots quickly. They were also very informative about each section of the hike, using blow up photos on the wall to show what it would look like. Grabbing a photo on my phone of the giant map also was helpful. Picking up the night before was awesome which allowed us to catch the early shuttle. Drop off was a breeze. The parking lot is small and can be challenging to get into when others are coming out but overall a great place to rent. read more

We were so glad we went with Zion Guru for our waterproof gear to hike the Narrows. 1. For adults, (wearing the bib version) the feet/ankle were more comfortable than some others that squeeze the ankle. 2. For kids, the size was small enough to fit my 7-year old. 3. For last minute planners like us, we were able to get 4 people fit in correct sizes the afternoon prior without previous reservations. 4. Kind, helpful and efficient 5. The phone pocket was large enough for the phone with a pocket insured the dry side, whereas other companies had the phones hanging halfway out while people walked through the water! Thank you, Zion Guru for a great product and great staff. read more

I'm not sure why Zion Guru does not seem as popular as other outfitters in Springdale. As we made our way through the Zion National Park and even on The Narrows trail, we saw very few green boots. We loved out experience with Zion Guru! We planned this visit and hike months in advance and wanted to be prepared for a novice hiker in my lady. We wanted to make sure she would have a successful and enjoyable time! She had zero complaints about her neoprene socks, water boots, and walking stick. She found everything to be comfortable and solid. The process was easy to book, and when we arrived to pick up our gear, the staff was friendly and informative. I had a nice discussion with the girl assisting us about parts of The Narrows hike, what to look for, how long to hike, and general advice. Be aware that the parking lot is small, though. If they ever get busy, then expect to search for street parking. Also, pricing is for tourists, so don't expect this to be a cheap rental. Would we recommend Zion Guru? Absolutely! Excellent service, solid gear, and knowledgable staff! read more

We recently used Zion Guru for a hike through the Narrows River hike. Nat was our excellent guide and made the hike safe and enjoyable. My only suggestion: Based on their literature I did not bring my hiking sticks because they would get stuck in between rocks. Therefore, I used their wooden pole, which I didn't think worked well. If one is comfortable using hiking sticks with rubber tips, they would allow more stability when walking in water. I would advise telling their customers, if you know how to use walking sticks they should bring them. read more

Booked 6 for Narrows water gear online, followed advice to come the night before to pick up. Process was super easy, this is the 3rd time at the Narrows but the 1st renting gear and we will never go without again. Boots and socks were in great shape and dry. Made our hike the best experience yet with having peace of mind that our feet were protected and the walking stick was very handy to have. Makes us think how we ever navigated without it. Return was just as easy. Will rent again. Thanks Gurus!! read more

Zion Guru Outfitters: We Always Help Our Customers. My wife and I are retired and real old school. We don't respond to solicitations for completing service solicitations or surveys. That changed during our planning and for when we started our Mighty 5 road trip in Springdale UT with Zion National Park, September 11-13. We needed e-bikes for getting around the ark for 2 days and for gear for the Narrows. After reviewing the local outfitter websites for Zion, and previous customers' Youtubes, we liked what Zion Guru represented. They had a good vibe. It got better. Being new to Zion, to riding ebikes, and hiking in a river, we called with specific questions about all 3 areas. A Zion Guru staff member answered our questions simply, enthusiastically and honestly. Our e-bikes were ready for us on the morning of September 12. The customer attention by each staff member was great and really friendly. When our RV Park could not deliver our shuttle back later that day, Zion Guru said no problem. "We can help. Take your bikes overnight back to your RV park. We'll give you a charged battery now and another when you come back for your Narrows gear." Now for the best! The previous day's orientation on the Narrows and the gear we picked up (neoprene socks, hiking shoes and wooden rod), made for a great and fun experience. It was a blast! We brought our bikes back Sunday afternoon only to find out we couldn't find any way to get to our RV. Our park said can't help you. No public bus, Uber or Lyft or taxi. Shout out to Carson with Zion Guru! He asked his manager for personal time off to drive us the 12 miles back. His manager said you can stay on the clock. "They are customers. We always do what we can to help our customers." This ethic of fun, safety and customer satisfaction, local area knowledge - and staff respect - is why Zion Guru rents more e-bikes than any competitor, and why they deserve your trust and business. 5/5 Highly recommend Zion guru for rental gears and preparation before Hiking Narrows in Zion National Park. I couldn't find Narrows map in nps website but it was very helpful to sit through introduction session at Zion Guru. About the rental gears, they work pretty good. I was actually surprised by that. Zion Guru canyoneering experience was amazing. We did the full day version, and it was a blast. It went quickly because it was both fun and engaging the entire time. We had an incredible experience with Zion Guru! We booked a private tour of Zion National Park along with a guided hike through The Narrows, and it exceeded all our expectations. Our guide, Nate, was outstanding--knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and passionate about Zion. His patience made the experience enjoyable for the entire family, and he made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe while hiking The Narrows. The private tour was well organized, personalized to our pace, and a fantastic way to experience Zion without worrying about logistics. We highly recommend Zion Guru for your Narrows trip! My husband and I, both in our mid-50s, rented e-bikes and the dry bib package for our Narrows hike in mid-May, and the experience was fantastic. Since we wanted an early start before the shop opened, we stopped by the evening before. The staff made everything easy and stress-free by showing us how the e-bikes worked, fitting our helmets, and giving us helpful Narrows tips. It was only 39 degrees at 7am, so the dry bib package was absolutely worth it. We stayed warm and dry all day despite the chilly water. The next morning, our bikes were waiting outside with our names on them, ready to go. Returns were quick and simple. Zion Guru was great for both gear rentals and for tours. We did both with them. On the gear side - The gear was great and worked perfectly for our Narrows hike. The check in process was, unfortunately, very long, but I think we came at the busiest time possible (around 4:30-5:30). And it was the second busiest day they had in their company's history. But everyone was very helpful and we got on our way with the right gear (and well prepared) for our Narrows trip. Then the next day, we did the canyoneering tour, which is hiking and rappelling. It was amazing. If you have a chance to go with Harold, take it! He was amazing. We also had 2 kids (10 and 7) and he was great with them and got them exited (and less scared) to do some pretty epic rappels. He was an outstanding guide. And to top it off, my wife accidentally left her ID in one of the Narrows bibs. The team went through all of them and found it for us and made it easy for us to come back to get it (they would have mailed it, but flying home without an ID seemed risky). Overall, I'd highly recommend the company (and Harold in particular). They made our time in Zion very special. read more
