We rented 2 wagons for 2 couples for 2 nights. :). The wagons were amazing. We had a fire pit outdoor kitchen and hot tub. Nice relaxing evenings after days of hiking and touring Zion. Totally worth it. The plus was seeing the bison and watching the babies run around and play. We also used the laundry facilities which were clean and several machines to be able to get done faster. The staff was great as well. They left a backpack along with cards and coupons in the wagon as a gift. We used them and while hiking The Narrows a squirrel (or more) got into one of them and they replaced it without hesitation. Such a wonderful experience. read more

Renting from this company was easy and convenient. We reserved our e-bikes, water shoes, and walking stick online, and the process was smooth from start to finish. One thing to be aware of is that there is no parking at their shop, so you'll need to find nearby parking before heading over. The only feature I felt was missing was a cup holder. I noticed some other rental companies had them on their bikes, and it would have been helpful for holding my phone while stopping to take pictures along the way. That said, I really appreciated the large basket and the basket netting, which securely held my backpack throughout the ride. Shout out to Zion Guru for their excellent service, good equipment, and well-run system! We rented the dry bib package on Memorial Day weekend. Knew the place was going to be packed so we went a day early and were able to pick up our equipment by 2pm the day before. (Side note: if you rent the dry bibs, be prepared for serious self-doubt when you stand in line for the shuttle and see hundreds of people around you without bibs. Take heart, the water is very cold even at this time of year, and people without bibs usually can't go as far or as deep in the water, so you'll be glad you have the bibs, although I kinda missed being able to feel the water on my legs! Also whether or not you need the bib depends on the time of day you plan to go. We got to Zion early in the morning, and made it to the Narrows around 10:30, so it was still kind of cool. By the time we came back, it was 2pm and the sun was hot so I could imagine not needing a bib then!) Pickup was pretty fast, after we signed in we were able to get our equipment right away and tried them out for size. My husband exchanged his shoes for a larger pair but I'd say they were pretty spot on with sizing for the rest of us! We were in and out the door in less than 30 mins. After returning the bibs, I realized that I might have left my sunglasses in one of the inside pockets, so I called them to check. Even though they were handling a crowd at the time, somebody (Michelle) still picked up the phone and went to check for me, and called me back to tell me what they found (which weren't my glasses), for which I was incredibly grateful. If there's one tip you need when visiting Zion National Park, it's this: rent an e-bike for the full day. Absolute game changer. This shop had excellent customer service and high-quality rentals, plus an impressive selection of helmets in different sizes and colors. Pricing was around $90 for a full-day adult bike, which felt fair for what you get. The employee explained that the battery lasts about 30 miles, includes a headlight for after dark, and has five speed settings. One important tip: turn your speed setting back down when you stop, otherwise you'll jolt forward when you start again (learned that quickly ). For reference, the canyon ride is about 9 miles one way, and we only used one battery notch total for the ride there and back. The bikes are a little heavy at first, but once you get the hang of it, cruising down the canyon on an almost empty road is honestly so much fun. A few helpful tips they shared: - If there aren't bike racks available, you can chain your bikes together - Watch the safety video -- it's actually useful - Check your brake angle before heading out; they can adjust it for you - There are bike tool stations inside the canyon if needed - The seats can get a bit uncomfortable after a few hours, so plan accordingly The shop is about 1.5 miles from the park entrance. Zion is a beautiful national park that everyone should go to, but if we're being honest, you NEED to rent from here. Everything was super easy and the staff were very helpful. We opted for the Narrows gear with boots, socks and a stick which was honestly all we needed as we brought our own dry bag. But they did have a lot more options if you needed them. The real winner was the ebike rental though. It is a little pricey but riding through the park on the bikes was a top-tier experience. My girls group rented from Zion Guru after learning that their waterproof bib and neoprene socks are all once piece - connected so in theory you won't get wet. We found the bib and shoes were all clean and comfortable. I have wide feet and the shoes still fit very well and didn't cause any pain throughout our hike. The staff also gives you a short presentation about the Narrows hike and you can ask questions and ask for suggestions then. I'm not sure why Zion Guru does not seem as popular as other outfitters in Springdale. As we made our way through the Zion National Park and even on The Narrows trail, we saw very few green boots. We loved out experience with Zion Guru! We planned this visit and hike months in advance and wanted to be prepared for a novice hiker in my lady. We wanted to make sure she would have a successful and enjoyable time! She had zero complaints about her neoprene socks, water boots, and walking stick. She found everything to be comfortable and solid. The process was easy to book, and when we arrived to pick up our gear, the staff was friendly and informative. I had a nice discussion with the girl assisting us about parts of The Narrows hike, what to look for, how long to hike, and general advice. Be aware that the parking lot is small, though. If they ever get busy, then expect to search for street parking. Also, pricing is for tourists, so don't expect this to be a cheap rental. Would we recommend Zion Guru? Absolutely! Zion Guru was great for both gear rentals and for tours. We did both with them. On the gear side - The gear was great and worked perfectly for our Narrows hike. The check in process was, unfortunately, very long, but I think we came at the busiest time possible (around 4:30-5:30). And it was the second busiest day they had in their company's history. But everyone was very helpful and we got on our way with the right gear (and well prepared) for our Narrows trip. Then the next day, we did the canyoneering tour, which is hiking and rappelling. It was amazing. If you have a chance to go with Harold, take it! He was amazing. We also had 2 kids (10 and 7) and he was great with them and got them exited (and less scared) to do some pretty epic rappels. He was an outstanding guide. And to top it off, my wife accidentally left her ID in one of the Narrows bibs. The team went through all of them and found it for us and made it easy for us to come back to get it (they would have mailed it, but flying home without an ID seemed risky). I'm so glad we rented the footwear package from Zion Guru. My feet stayed warm and comfortable during our 4 hours in the narrows. The grip on the boots helped me navigate the slick rocks, and the boots protected my feet which was especially important when we went back downstream because the water was murky with so many people in the river. The boots did better in the water than my old pair of hiking boots would have because they drained efficiently. I also appreciated the sturdy wooden stick for support. People with metal hiking poles seemed to struggle more. I also appreciated the advice the friendly employees provided when we picked up our gear. We hired a guide with Zion Guru to hike the Narrows, which included all the gear - Neoprene socks, boots, walking sticks, and waterproof backpacks. We could've used bibs but when we asked staff member Reni, she assured us we would be warm without them (she was right!). All the gear was clean and in great condition. The socks and boots kept our feet warm all day and prevented slippage on the rocks. The walking sticks were a Godsend! The day of the hike we were picked up at our hotel on time and then returned to the hotel afterwards by our guide, Noah. Noah was more than just a guide. He shared information on ecology, plant life, entomology, geology and history of the Narrows, and rock climbing, all while ensuring our safety as he effortlessly walked the Narrows. He encouraged and expertly guided us through the tricky areas. We all shared personal history and felt like we got to know each other well; he is a genuinely kind and caring person, extremely skilled, competent and so, so friendly. The Narrows was the highlight of our trip to Zion and was so much more memorable because of Noah. The next day we rented e-bikes, which was a wonderful way to see Zion up close and personal!
