    Jacob's Angels on Angel's Landing

Could not recommend Zion Guide Hub more, especially JACOB! His calm yet fun demeanor and knowledge of the area made our angel's landing hike one of the very best parts of our whole trip to Zion. He goes above and beyond in every way, including taking silly videos of my friends and me at multiple points throughout hike We asked him at one point what his favorite part of his job was and he said "I just love making people feel like they are a part of the community." I can say with full conviction that he did exactly that for our group! Do not pass go, do not collect $200, go straight to Zion and book an adventure with Jacob at Zion Guide Hub!!!!

In two days we did all we could imagine with AJ. Getting started early, 7AM, was key to beating the crowds. The canyoneering is must-do - but know your capacity for effort and literally stepping over ledges. If you have high blood pressure and are a sea-level-creature, let them know and take your time on the hike up.

From that first call, the customer service was excellent. The day before, Zack, our guide reached out directly to introduce himself, confirm our start time, and let us know exactly what to bring. From the moment we met him, Zack MADE the tour. He was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and attentive, literally anticipating questions my friend had before they even asked them, which instantly made them feel reassured and comfortable. Even though we switched tours last minute, Zack went above and beyond by giving us a taste of the rock climbing experience while still keeping things manageable and fun. He was super flexible in adapting the pace to what we were comfortable with, and I am so glad we ended up choosing canyoneering. It was the perfect balance of adventure, challenge, and fun without feeling overwhelming. To top it off, Zack told us about a local Peach Festival happening in town and even invited us to check it out, which was such a thoughtful touch that made the whole experience feel personal. Overall, this was one of the best tours I have ever been on. If it is your first time in Zion or you are unsure what to book, trust Rock Odysseys and ask for Zack if he is available. You will not regret it!

Our tour guide, Al, showed us such an amazing experience! He was friendly, patient, funny, knowledgeable of the area, and of course, has tons of stories to share! Super laid back and very professional! Depending on the amount of people you with, the price of canyoneering will decrease. Before you go on the trip, make sure you use the bathroom. The drive up to Lambs Knoll was about 30mins and the hike up was about another 30 mins. Instructions and safety took about 10 mins and next thing you know, you're strapped up and ready to go! With a group of 4, Al made each of us feel comfortable on each course. He didn't rush us off the mountain and even offered to continue on to do more rappelling. If we didn't leave our mom on a souvenir shopping spree for 4 hours, I would've agreed for more! He even made me feel all skinny believing that I can squeeze myself between the slot canyons!! Haha! That was an adventure in and of itself. The Slot Canyons were one of my top 10 things to do while living in Utah and I'm glad I got to see how beautiful it is in person. The pictures below doesn't do any justice to actually being there and touching the walls. Before I wrap up this novel of a review, I have to say that I will definitely come back here and do the narrows. They offered 10% off our next adventure and 10% off apparel.

Sick of your shizz, coronavirus! Initially I wasn't really sure what you expect from a Jeep tour, but I was pleasantly surprised by the fun, off the beaten path experience that we had taking the sunset tour. I was a bit leery of the Jeep and thinking it may or may not break down on a dirt road without cellular signal, but all is well that ends well. The ride was scenic and bumpy and an all around good time. Our tour guide was Zach(Zack?) and he was Ah-mazing. He was a great driver, funny, interesting, informative, and an all around joy to be around for our three hour tour. He shared lots of information on our surroundings, asked a lot of questions about our trip, and made a lot of great recommendations for our stay near Zion. If you can get him as your guide, you'll be in great hands. Overall a lovely time with spectacular views.

If you are looking to get killed…read more.. My husband, brother and i booked a weekend with them back in October and had Rob as a guide. Even though they are not doing guides at the Zion itself they are "selling it". Therefore and because the weather forecast did not look to good for the whole area they recommended the north wash area. We went in the same corner were the movie was made with the guy who got stuck in the canyon and cut off his arm. But we did not know that at that time. But here comes the thing they put money first before safety! We asked several times if it is safe to go and if it wouldn't be better to cancel because of weather. They refused. We went in an area he had no clue in which fork we went for Canyoneering. And afterwards I discovered that the locals there had cancelled all trips for that weekend due weather forecast and storm. He put us right into it!!!! We trusted them and their experience!!! They clearly don't have. They may be climbers but that does not help if you don't know the area We spend the night stuck in the canyon after exhausting hours climbing through the canyon through way to narrow spots. And we went right into a flash flood!! And whole night of thunderstorms and rain, clustered together on an edge under us above us everywhere water. Our phones died because our guide did not have light with him and he refused later reimburse our stuff. Our fault he said. Our trip took us almost 30 hours of nightmare. And next morning a rescue team where on their way to look for us not because the company was worried no because nice people next to our camping ground realized we did not come back before the storm started. Make sure you book trip with locals and they do trips in an area they really know! By they way we did not get an apology just a free trip for a better experience instead of money back (we asked for our money back to donate somewhere because they clearly did not deserve it)! Who the hell would do a second trip after such a nightmare! Greedy for money with no care for the people who just want a nice and safe experience out in nature

It's only about 1 mile round trip and links you up to either Angel's Landing trail, Emerald Pools trail or the West Rim trail - so I wouldn't call this one an independent hike - you wouldn't be doing this one all on its own. It's more of a place for overflow parking for some of the main hikes with a small trail to get you to those actual trailheads. Bc of the parking issues for Angel's Landing, we had to park at the Grotto trailhead which is how we ended up on this trail. It's mostly flat, very well maintained, has a picnic area and nice restrooms. You get amazing views all along it, especially of Angel's Landing off in the distance! It's a great way to start the Angel's Landing hike tbh. We even saw deer!! And on our way out, some crazy clouds had rolled in and made the rock formations and mountains look so other-worldly and we even got snow as a bonus!! Definitely not disappointed we had to add some extra steps to our Angel's Landing hike! I got some great shots!

Most people shuttle up and down Zion Canyon, and admittedly that's a great way to see the main…read morecanyon. But there are a few trails that actually parallel the road, and can take you from shuttle stop to shuttle stop. So I say, if you can walk the canyon, why not? That's kind of the point is to be out there, right? The Grotto Trail is a great example. Connecting Shuttle Stop 5 (Zion Lodge) and Shuttle Stop 6 (The Grotto) this is a wonderful way to see a little of the canyon on foot. You can walk it in either direction, so take your pick. It doesn't much matter as elevation gains are minimal, but I like to get off of the shuttle at a farther stop and work my way back. Sometimes in the off season, however, you may be able to find parking at one of the stops and not the other, so if you're headed to the Grotto for a popular hike there, you may have to park at the Lodge and walk up. Perfect! Take this trail. You can also take the Emerald Pools and then Kayenta trails which parallel (sort of) the opposite side of the road, but that's a much longer haul. The Grotto Trail is only a half mile long. This trail isn't exactly quiet or private as it does parallel the road, but they report a surprising amount of wildlife here. I've not seen them when I hiked, but look for deer who are very unamused but mostly indifferent to humans. They are all over the park. I can't say it's my top destination hike when I plan a trip to Zion, but if you can squeeze it in or are forced to walk when Grotto parking is full, you won't be disappointed by a meandering walk along the canyon floor.
