    Jacob's Angels on Angel's Landing

Could not recommend Zion Guide Hub more, especially JACOB! His calm yet fun demeanor and knowledge of the area made our angel's landing hike one of the very best parts of our whole trip to Zion. He goes above and beyond in every way, including taking silly videos of my friends and me at multiple points throughout hike We asked him at one point what his favorite part of his job was and he said "I just love making people feel like they are a part of the community." I can say with full conviction that he did exactly that for our group! Do not pass go, do not collect $200, go straight to Zion and book an adventure with Jacob at Zion Guide Hub!!!!

In two days we did all we could imagine with AJ. Getting started early, 7AM, was key to beating the crowds. The canyoneering is must-do - but know your capacity for effort and literally stepping over ledges. If you have high blood pressure and are a sea-level-creature, let them know and take your time on the hike up.

The yelp coupon doesn't apply anymore and the school is still working with yelp to remove it…read more My siblings and I went on a canyoneering trip to the slot canyons in Lambs Knoll for my birthday. Our tour guide, Al, showed us such an amazing experience! He was friendly, patient, funny, knowledgeable of the area, and of course, has tons of stories to share! Super laid back and very professional! Depending on the amount of people you with, the price of canyoneering will decrease. Before you go on the trip, make sure you use the bathroom. The drive up to Lambs Knoll was about 30mins and the hike up was about another 30 mins. Instructions and safety took about 10 mins and next thing you know, you're strapped up and ready to go! With a group of 4, Al made each of us feel comfortable on each course. He didn't rush us off the mountain and even offered to continue on to do more rappelling. If we didn't leave our mom on a souvenir shopping spree for 4 hours, I would've agreed for more! He even made me feel all skinny believing that I can squeeze myself between the slot canyons!! Haha! That was an adventure in and of itself. The Slot Canyons were one of my top 10 things to do while living in Utah and I'm glad I got to see how beautiful it is in person. The pictures below doesn't do any justice to actually being there and touching the walls. Before I wrap up this novel of a review, I have to say that I will definitely come back here and do the narrows. They offered 10% off our next adventure and 10% off apparel.

Sick of your shizz, coronavirus! Initially I wasn't really sure what you expect from a Jeep tour, but I was pleasantly surprised by the fun, off the beaten path experience that we had taking the sunset tour. I was a bit leery of the Jeep and thinking it may or may not break down on a dirt road without cellular signal, but all is well that ends well. The ride was scenic and bumpy and an all around good time. Our tour guide was Zach(Zack?) and he was Ah-mazing. He was a great driver, funny, interesting, informative, and an all around joy to be around for our three hour tour. He shared lots of information on our surroundings, asked a lot of questions about our trip, and made a lot of great recommendations for our stay near Zion. If you can get him as your guide, you'll be in great hands. Overall a lovely time with spectacular views.

His knowledge of the park and the activity were invaluable. We were able to climb up to a canyon and do 4 repels down. I totally had stage freight the first repel leg and Stu was incredibly calming and helped me overcome my fear for a truly awesome trip! His patience is truly a gift. Would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat. Added bonus was that Stu captured and art directed some incredible photos for us!

Canyoneering (rappelling, hiking, waters) from a newbie's view:…read moreI've only done Pine Creek (1st time canyoneering) and Mystery (2nd time canyoneering). Both are great but I would do Mystery again if I had to chose between them. Mystery is technical. I went end of May 2012 and it was great! Got there around 9am, and the canyons and downward hike was very cool until getting to really dry outdoor areas then it got hot. Other then that it wasn't really that hot. The weather was great when we went. You end up rappelling off a mini waterfall into Riverside (river knee high at time) and walk into the Temple of Sinawava area at the end. Beginning part is really tricky.....I was basically slide falling the whole time down, so dangerous (this is after the 45min walk to this place). Also, LOGS are very slippery from the rain or water. And there are some shortcut walks and downward climbs you can do around some of the smaller rappels instead of rappelling. Some downward climbs here are tricky, and I slip every time (get spotted!) But there are two big rappels you can't miss! Definitely need daisy chains for those. Came with 2 Trip leaders, 2 experienced canyoneers but 1st time here, and me and bf were newbies. Took us around 8hours to complete? But we were really trucking the beginning through cause the other group got stuck behind people the day before and took them 10hours? But they went with more newbies. Recommend: Some type of thick full gloves cause you'll be trying to grab whatever plants or rocks or items are around when going downhill in the beginning. No need to wear your harness until rappelling areas. If the river isn't too high, doubt you'll really need a dry bag for jackets and such unless you're bringing cameras and such. Water was nice so no jackets were needed. Water/hike (canyoneer) shoes and neoprene socks would be really nice to wear, you can get rentals). Bring at least 1L water per person, I brought 1.5L bottle from REI and that was perfect for a big water drinker. And remember to bring lunch, and your daisy chains! Rope - I'm sure your trip leaders will know what to bring. REQUIRED: A permit is required. Not sure how it works but our trip leaders got them so here's the link to more info: http://www.nps.gov/zion/planyourvisit/subway-and-mystery-canyon-reservations.htm. Go with professionals, or people that know what they're doing. Canyoneering is no joke.
