I've read the previous reviews about Robo Shark and I have to say I disagree with most reviews about this place. I dropped off my iPad nearly two months ago an I received ONE phone call message from someone at robo shark with a mumbling voice that was very hard to understand. I finally went into the store to pick up my iPad. The person there asked to if I could have a seat for a half hour while he charged my iPad to make sure it works. What the??? I don't have time for that so I told him I would charge it myself. He wouldn't give up the iPad until I must have asked 10 times. I was charged $160 in repairs. I took it in to have the glass replaced and to have a new charging port installed. When I asked what was done he told me that he replaced the battery, he replaced the screen, he replaced the glass (for free) and he also replaced the charging port. He was very reluctant to let me take the iPad but I did. I got home and I put it to charge...... It wasn't charging. I grabbed a magnifying glass and a powerful flashlight and found that the charging port had not been changed so I took it back and I said I think you forgot to change the charging port. He said oh sorry I'll call you when it's done. I said you mean like an hour? A day? A week? Another two months? He looked at me and said, "I'll call you". Here we go again. It's been five days and not a phone call. He won't answer my calls now probably since I asked him for the used parts that he claims he changed. He told me the battery was destroyed while removing it then he laughed at me when I asked for the screen he replaced. Two things I asked to be fixed and with no authorization he claims to have changed the battery and screen without my authorization. $160 in repairs for a product that still wasn't working and without the honesty to let me know it wasn't fixed yet and here I am waiting for his call read more

Awesome, dependable, reliable and timely service. I completely shattered my iPhone face to the point of seeing the inside of my phone. Apple was going to charge me $40 more to fix it and I would have to bring it back a couple days later only to pick it up a couple days after that! I took it to RobotShark and not only was it $40 cheaper but they completed it in a couple of hours and gave me a great discount for tempered glass protection. Great work guys! Went to Robot Shark to see whether my computer monitor was repairable. He plugged in the monitor and connected to his laptop. Nope, the monitor is toast, it isn't worth the cost of repair, I was told. You would do better buying a new one. Honest, no cost and easy. He could have charged me an arm and a leg, for what it cost to get a new moniter. Thanks - will bring all my computer repairs here. read more

Tried to replace the battery in my Nexus 6 myself, but couldn't get all 22 screws out in order to get to the battery. My husband took my phone to these guys at Robot Shark and they had the patience and skill to remove the rest of the screws (2 were even stripped) and replace the battery. They even stayed open past closing time to get the job done. Marco really went above and beyond to get my phone working again and did not charge a lot of money for his time. I thought I had lost EVERYTHING on my computer-my screen was black no matter what I did. I recently dropped my iphone 6s and my screen was completely damaged. Like most people i don't have insurance on my phone and i was not going to buy a new one. I look around for iphone screen replacement and this place is one of the few and only place in gilroy that they use original screens. I asked the other shops in town and they could not answer if screen were original or not So i was skeptical about those shops. I heard people complaining about screen repairs they got done somewhere else at a cheaper price buy for $25 more i can have original screen. Total repair was $115 So i came to robot shark they techs were friendly and the repair was done under 1 hour. My phone was flawless after that brand new. color quality was exactly the same. I will recommend this place to everyone. Definitely original screen makes a difference.They may not be the cheapest but they have the best quality around. I was having a few issues with my laptop and ended up taking it in to Robot Shark. Marco was able to diagnose the problem within minutes. I ended up dropping my laptop off on a Friday afternoon and picking it up on Monday with barely any downtime for work. In addition to fixing my Microsoft Windows issue, Marco installed an anti-virus program on my computer as well as a Robot Shark remote support software so I can easily call in and share my computer screen. Great Service at Robot Shark. I have an ASUS tablet that my kid dropped (with a cover). Luckily the screen wasn't damaged, but the screen wouldn't turn on. Working with Marco, he was very helpful and responsive. They were able to identify the problem and gave me a very fair statement of work. ASUS quoted $200 to fix, Robot Shark was able to do it at less than half that price. I didn't have to deal with packaging, shipping and waiting for the product to come back if I deal with the vendor. Took my non functioning laptop in for repair. I own my own business and rely on this computer to function. Marco was very friendly and seemed to really care about getting me up and running again. Provided me with an interim solution so that I could access my data and keep working. If you have a repair, this is where you want to go. Also, he will look and assess your computer at no charge (a competitor in town charged $50 for a 10 minute stop where he opened up the back of the computer, asked a couple of questions, visually looked at it, did not do any type of diagnostics and then told me to get a new computer and to write a $50 check for the 10 minute visit). read more

My HP Pavilion dv6 laptop started having several problems after owning it for over five years. I checked in the area for some good candidates to repair it and get me back to work fast. I checked on Yelp and found Marco's company Robot Shark. I called him and immediately felt that he was the right person to handle my computer problems quickly. Since I needed the computer to conduct a client meeting the next day, I expressed this to Marco and he told me that he would get the job done even if he had to stay late to do it. I got updates throughout the day and evening, and by 12:30 am (yes, that late), Marco had replaced my hard drive, cleaned and checked my computer, and installed most of my 20 years worth of sensitive law firm files.
