I went in to try and figure out what was wrong with my PC. Fortunately they figured out the issue, however they removed the cardboard inside the PC which I was using as an anti sag to prevent the motherboard and GPU from being damaged by the weight of the 9070xt. I would recommend to tell the people there that the insides of your computer should stay the way you brought it in unless it might conflict with the repair. Great service besides that! read more

*Dsclosure* yes it's been over a year since I went in there. However, because especially of today, I am finally leaving my review for this place. I no longer live in Santa Cruz. I live very far away. I had my computer fixed there literally only because the letter P and the space bar were not working on my computer laptop Toshiba. the long haired ponytail gentleman said to do that he'd have to replace the whole keyboard and I agreed to it. It was gonna be less than $200. However, when I got my computer back without asking me, he said he went ahead and upgraded my ram which I never needed nor did I want. That being said my bill was $300. when I got home as I opened my computer, the left side under the main frame was loose. After two days of opening it about five times a piece of metal and two wires were completely sticking out. I called them and explain this and explained in detail that there is not a left screw holding in the main frame like there is on the right side. The gentleman seemed confused about this and said I could bring it to have them look at it like I mentioned I lived far away and it's not easy for me to get there so that's been frustrating to say the least. And yes today over a year later I happen to be driving through Santa Cruz to visit my dad in the hospital and I brought the computer and hoping they'd have good faith and look on my records to show that I was not lying and I said can you fix this and put in another screw on the left side obviously there's no screw because the little circle of black plastic hasn't even been penetrated like it is on the right side. the younger kid today said we don't touch anything that we've already worked on and I said again I know it's been over your butt brought it home. I called you to say this problem and I have not been able to use it quite uncaring and he replied that they won't fix it unless they replace the entire frame again, which is insane. I can go buy a brand new computer for $300 so that being said now I'm extra livid and I wish I left the review last year , but again, I tried to give them another chance to make it right and they didn't. They sent it to a professional data recovery who couldn't access the data on the hard drive. I wasn't charged for anything or their time. They were really nice and professional. I am very happy with my experience here. I brought in a Macbook Air that needed to have the charging port replaced. They were courteous, prompt, professional, reasonably priced and best of all, relaxed about masks. (What follows is a bit of a rant because I am sick of all the craziness that 99% of business are putting up with and I wish there were more business's like this one) They clearly use logic and reason and understand that wearing a silly cloth mask does nothing to protect from a virus. They did not wear one and neither will I. If you feel the need to protect yourself, wear an N95 or just stay home. Pretending that cloth masks or bandanas, worn incorrectly in most cases, will save you and then requiring others to comply with the mandates of wannabe tyrants is just silly! Do some research people! We all have choices and I will only choose to do business with folks who understand what is at stake and will not compromise their values and fold to tyranny. They have rebuilt two of my computers now, and they were very honest whether it was going to be worth rebuilding versus buying a new computer. I wouldn't consider them an inexpensive place, but dollar for dollar they are going to save you money over buying a new computer, and they will only fix yours if it is worth fixing! He brought both my Studio Computer and an old laptop back from the dead, just when I was getting ready to throw them in the recycling can.
