I got my computer repaired elsewhere (in Santa Clara) and they found several issues. - No Windows key was found in settings so Windows was really installed properly by Nerds by Night despite paying for it to be installed. I was also over charged by $100 for the Windows 11. - There were more parts found damaged from being assembled. RAMs look like they were aggressively pushed in. - CPU prong bent. The repair guy I found could tell the computer was placed with the glass down in the car like the NbN worker had done. Legitimately go take your computer to Silicon Valley to have it looked at or a custom one made. Found someone who actually talks to you face to face, is passionate about computer builds, and likes their job. Also respectful to customers. I wish I could get my money back from the damage Nerds by Night caused and the mess they left in my computer casing. read more

Melissa and Ben reached out to me after seeing my review. Nope, they are not out of business. My message fell into a hole. We discussed my laptop problem and determined it wouldn't be economically feasible to attempt a repair. That is a fair assessment . But I didn't want o lose all the Burning Man stickers on it =!8^} I appreciate their response and can heartily recommend Nerd By Night to anyone requiring computer services. read more

Arrived ON TIME for a "House Call" during COVID wearing his mask, and IMMEDIATELY went to work untangling our network. Was here one full hour, answered all our questions about what he was doing and showed us the steps to edit anything if needed. Very grateful for the talent and timeliness and kindness to old people!!! Thank you Mark!!! read more

Ben is amazing. My company has been working with him and his team for years now and they are timely, quick and always find solutions to our complicated issues at multiple locations. Thank you for being rockstars! read more

Such amazing customer service and care for detail! I had my screen get completely shattered due to my blinds falling on my MacBook Pro -Neiman was super accommodating, fast communication. He got the parts ordered, picked up my laptop and I got it back the next day (only bc my screen was so badly broken)! And the price was definitely reasonable compared to Apple's pricing! A few days later I noticed the panel around my screen popping off (wasn't too worried bc I could just press it back in) still, I texted Neiman and let him know what was going on, got a call back not even 2 minutes later--he was able to come pick up my Macbook, take it back to their shop, check out the pre-attached adhesive and just re-sealed it no problem and no charge! AND I got it back in about an hour tops! Talk about great customer service and care! I HIGHLY recommend NBN and will def be using their services in the future! read more

BEYOND EXCELLENT AND SURPASSING ALL EXPECTATIONS! My problems began on Wednesday. I contacted Nerd By Night on Wednesday. I received a call-back within 2 hours. I was given an appointment on Thursday. Derek arrived right on time. He is kind, knowledgeable, patient and professional. He diagnosed and fixed my double router issues. I could not remember the password for one of my computers, so Derek was unable to access it. Thursday night I got into the computer and it also needed help. I contacted Nerd at Night and immediately was connected to Derek! Ben arrived first thing Saturday morning and fixed the issue.... without charge. This company and Venessa, Derek and Ben are sincerely the very best example of what a service company can be. read more

I had serious computer problems and when I called Nerd By Night, they responded immediately via the phone and appointment was set up. The young computer person who arrived and answered to my call was extremely competent, efficient, and followed all the cover-19 guidelines. Nerd By Night are really my knight and shinning armor. I would highly recommend them. Dr.Marion Somers author of Elder Care Made Easier, 2nd Edition. read more

Nerd By Night are the best! So professional, accommodating to our office hours and extremely proficient at their craft. Our business has worked with them for years. I have personally worked with 3 individuals at this company and each experience has been great. Their response time is quick and they are just a wonderful local business. Keep up the excellent work guys! read more

"Dude, you have the blue screen!" is all anyone could tell me....yet my coworker Bruce told me not to sweat, just to call Ben @ Nerd by Night. Within a couple of hours of Ben picking up my laptop I had a call wanting to know how to drop it by my home that evening after being repaired! Nerd by Night exceeded my expectations for computer service! read more

Nerd By Night has provided services to both my residence and to my business computers since early 2006. In addition to his knowledge and positive energy, I most appreciate Ben S. for his rapid response when I am experiencing an "emergent or urgent" computer event. It is so calming to know that we can get help in a relatively short period of time. Keep up the good work, NBN. And for anyone who hasn't given them a try.......go for it. read more

The resolution to my problem was generous, and I do still believe that this is a nice company with good business ethics. Although I lost all my files and they couldn't retrieve them, I was still charged. I guess there was a series of miscommunications on both ends that unfortunately ended up costing me $115. It was nice that they had a follow up call, but still an unfortunate situation altogether. Do your research first read more

Ben is a consummate professional. He can tackle the most simple task just like he can resolve the most complex server issue. It's interesting to see him work, rewarding to count on the result. Yet, the best on his repertoire, are his communication skills. Not only he responds promptly... he does it almost instantaneously ! It's been great to work with Ben and count with his expertise on every IT situation. He is just the best. read more

Kudos to Ben and Neiman for their prompt, courteous and affordable service ! Computer glitches can be very stressful, but Neiman stepped in and fixed the issues in a timely manner. I definitely recommend ! read more

Ben was a wizard! Nerd by Night is my favorite find this year. I feel better now just knowing they are out there. Oh, and also my "nerd" recommended a backup strategy that was $2500 less than what I had planned. My advice to anyone: don't wait until you have a disaster before calling them in for consultation on a system or just help setting everything up. I'm a video editor with some massive and (I thought) complicated storage issues, but just like that, Ben made it super easy and worked with what I had already done instead of forcing me to go through a torturous reconfiguration of everything. Sleeping better. :) read more

Ben and his team are fantastic!!! My laptop broke and the IT specialist at work couldn't fix it (I work at a major University) but Nerd by Night did! They know their stuff, make house calls, and who doesn't want to support local business? I highly recommend them! read more

My external hard drive died at the most critical moment during my project--just before I had saved the backup copy and the day before the project was due. Ben literally saved the day! He met me at his office at 6pm and started dismantling the hard drive immediately. By the time I got home he had already recovered the critical file and emailed it to me so that I could continue working and deliver the project the next morning. It was remarkable service and frankly a miracle. read more

Ben and his team is the best! Enthusiastic, energetic and super friendly. Although I was thinking of taking it down to 4 stars due to Ben's poor StarCraft gaming abilities and his lack of beer knowledge ;-) haha read more

I LOVE working with Nerd by Night! Ben is so attentive, responsive and easy to work with! I had him update all my computers and our electronic medical record system at my medical office (no small feat). He made sure we were up and running and everything was connected properly including our printers. He was also great with explaining everything in layman's terms so that a non-IT savvy person like me could actually understand. I am extremely satisfied with his service. Since then, I've had some other small IT needs for the office and he was right there whenever I needed him. I look forward to continuing working with Ben and Nerd By Night! I have a mid-2010 iMac that I wanted to upgrade the HDD on. I contacted Nerd-By-Night via their online request form and received a response promptly from Adam. We discussed what I wanted to have done, and he executed the replacement drive purchase, and we coordinated the timing of the work, and he was done with the swap and re-install of the OS within the same day! Although I kept asking questions, he was professional, courteous but very personable! I would not hesitate to recommend their services, and will be going back to them whenever I need help! read more

I have nothing but high praise for Ben and all the Nerd By Night Staff. If knowledge is what you lack, then Ben and his team is what you not only need, but want - Bar none! There isn't a problem he can't find a solution to and he won't stop until he does. Implementation of new systems and fixing the old ones; there's no one else I would trust for my business or home computer needs. On time; honest; and worth every dime. Thanks Ben and the entire staff for keeping my medical practice safe and running smoothly, as well as my home business. read more

I have nothing but GREAT things to say about Ben and his fabulous receptionist! They are both friendly, professional and available when I need them. Ben knows his stuff and is great at breaking information down so that I can understand it (I'm NOT computer savvy). He's very patient with me and all of my questions and concerns. His pricing is competitive and he's available when needed. I HIGHLY recommend using his company, Nerd by Night! read more

I purchased a new telephony modem to replace a Comcast-leased modem. Neiman provided great support in activating the new modem as I encountered problems. He was efficient and made a change in the connection of my router. This is the second time we contacted Nerd by Night and definitely recommend them. read more

Ben responded promptly to my emailed inquiry and Adam arrived at our house on time. He did a great job of problem-solving our issues and I learned a few things along the way. Low key, personable, economical, effective. read more

Ben, the Mac pro from Nerd by Night, far exceeded any of my expectations with his knowledge, patience, flexibility & good will. In one hour he installed my printer, showed me how to scan photos, activated my iPod Touch and got me on-line with my email, internet and we even downloaded Pandora. He clearly explained why my phone interfered and severed my wireless signal (its wireless frequency is the same as the signal my router produces). He helped me find a charger on-line for my iPod touch so I could email when traveling without my computer. He talked with me briefly about Skye & VOIP & HDMI adapters. He advised me that my former laptop was too old to invest in, that cost of memory fluctuates like gold & it's low now & that since my computer was currently only using 40% of its capacity there wasn't a need to buy more memory, but that I could increase it from 2GB to 8GB & even gave me a restaurant recommendation. Please do yourself a favor & call Ben when you need help with your computer. You'll be happy you did! read more
