I was very pleasantly surprised by the honesty and work ethic of this business. I took my son's iPhone 7 to Robot Shark to have the charger port replaced. The cellphone was not charging at all. When we went back in to pick it up the owner said that it worked with the charger cord and showed us a little trick. He said it was better not to break the factory seal if it wasn't necessary. And he didn't charge us anything! Wow! We would not have questioned him at all if he had changed the charging port and he would have made the $$ from the sale. Instead, he chose to tell us how to make it work. Scared, angry, in shock, dismayed, dizzy, could not sleep, anxious and a BIG OMG when my PRIV BlackBerry got wet in Cancun, Mexico in June 2016. I always believed myself to be very organized, detailed, and careful with expensive items such as computers, medical equipment, and mobile phones. However a few weeks ago in Mid June, I was enjoying a perfect stroll on Cancun's powder white beaches. The waves crashes gently on the seashore with a crystal blue ocean just behind each wave. The kids frolicked in the ocean while my wife and I strolled along the seashore absorbing UV rays to improve our tan. I stepped onto a sand dune that was covered with potato bag-like material. I walked ever so gently to make sure not to slip since the material looked somewhat slippery due to the greenish shine that covered this dune. I placed my BlackBerry Priv in my shorts back pocket because I wanted to be responsible. I had to step over one person, a young 20-something gal soaking in sun rays. My wife stood still on the sand. I am sure she knew what was going to happen next. In a split second my feet slipped and my 11 inch Nike sneakers were moving up toward the sky, while my head stretched far back until my feet and head were both parallel in the air. In another split second, my skinny butt hit the sand dune surrounded by crystal clear Cancun blue water and my head smacked down hard on the hard, wet, sand. I stayed down for about 5 seconds because I thought I cracked my skull open. Yes, I landed that hard. As soon as I got up I felt my back pocket to make sure my BlackBerry was ok. Of course, I cared more about the damn phone than my health. Wouldn't you know it, the phone turned off because I sat right on it when I landed. I turned on the phone because I only saw a tiny bit of water around the screen. Well, dumb idea. The phone went into cardiac arrest. The screen flickered, the buttons would not turn off the phone, the phone made weird alien noised. Finally, after a few minutes I turned the phone off. Then I finally came back to reality and heard my wife say "Honey are you ok?" Several other had swam toward me asked "hey are you ok, that was a hard fall!" My senses came back to me and I looked around at 5 people and said, "thank you, all is good." My wife, busted out in a laugh so deep and said, "That is what you get for checking out that hoochie in the cute bikini." I looked right next to where I fell, and sure enough, there she was, a tiny clad bikini about 20 something, just smiling. Yes, that's what I get. I placed my phone in a zip lock bad with rice for 3 days. Good thing I did. Screen did not turn on, but I did hear my phone trying to dial when I pressed on the screen. I also hear my favorite fame turn on when I touched the touch screen. Clash Royal music was so awesome to hear. I found Marco and Robo-Shark in Gilroy, CA on a Yelp search. I have to say I love Marco because he answered my phone call and invited me to visit with him in his modest shop. So, I drove to see Marco. I told him my phone was wet, placed in rice with ziplock, and now I am praying he can save my baby. He said, "I cannot promise that I can save the data, contacts, photos, videos, because the phone was wet, but I will try." He said, don't worry, let me check it out." A young girl and her mother stood next to me playing with her laptop which fell in a swimming pool. Marco got her computer to work, so I had high hopes. Left my phone for 2 days, Marco called me on July 2 and asked me to come pick up the phone on July 3rd. I thought about my Priv during 4th of July pre-weekend. July 3rd rolls around, so I was impatient all morning because I wanted to arrive in time to meet up with my sweetheart, PRIV by BlackBerry. I walked in, said, "Hi Marco, what you go?" He said with a smile, "check it out." Oh man, I turned on my phone, saw the BlackBerry Android sign in, heard sounds, and fell in love all over again. My phone worked, data intact, games intact, pictures, files, videos all intact. I highly recommend Marco and Robo-Shark. Marco, will do his best.
