Don't trust Frank. Frank has had my $1600 monitor since June. that's over 6 months since I dropped it off. A horrible and stressful experience. Full of excuses with no accountability. I've asked for my stuff back many times. At this point, I consider him a thief who stole $1600 + initial fees. He was recommended by LG. Ask for another repair service. Don't trust Frank. read more

My tv works again after being unusable for months now thanks to this guy! For free. Volume button on back of tv was stuck going up and down constantly. A picture message and short conversation was enough for me to be able to disable the buttons. Thanks again! Much appreciated. read more

The process to arriving at the approval for a repair through Samsung was a little bit of a challenge, but once I was referred to Frank and his cousin Frank, I was confident the problem would get resolved. Frank was able to order the parts and quickly fix my Samsung TV without any hassles. I would highly recommend A&J to family and friends in the future. read more

Frank is awesome! He is responsive and immensely helpful with all things tv related. Would recommend him to anyone!!

The owner was able to arrange to come to my home the same day! He was friendly and gave me confidence. He was clear about the consultation fees. After spending hours in the support phone lines of Vizio and Costco (where the Vizio agent told me "we suggest you to buy a replacement TV" (the TV I am trying to fix was a top of the line costco 70" Vizio from 5yrs ago) talking with the owner was a pleasant relief!! I am submitting this review for customer service excellence alone. read more

Frank (and his cousin Frank) fixed my Tempurpedic bed. It all was working after the initial installation of the bed in March 2023. We had the frame installed a year later and that is when the Sleeptracker-AI for primary side of the split king was not getting any data. We got the data from the secondary side. This is the system which gives you sleep data every day (and emails the results as well). We talked to Tempurpedic at least 4 times of at least 30 minutes each and were visited 3 times by another company. None of these solved the problem with the Sleeptracker-AI. After the last visit by the other company they switched sides of the sensor cable to debug the problem. (Unfortunately you have to wait until the next morning to see the results. It was pretty clear that the problem was with the sensor/sensor cable on the primary side that was broken. I sent a n email to Tempurpedic with this information. After about 4 days I got a call from Frank at A&J. I explained the problem and he understood immediately. They had sent him the part, but it was the wrong one. It was the sensor processor, not the sensor, and it was even the wrong model (white versus black). He said that he had a sensor. He came out (with cousin Frank) and replaced it in about 5 minutes. And, yes, it was working the next day. Thanks for fixing our 4 month and many hour journey. read more

Left a review 9 days ago as of now no written diagnostic mailed to me. He did not even turn on the tV to diagnose and when he was asked to place it in writing never complied l. The part he quoted me for I found $600 cheaper I contacted Samsung because the ONLY reason I called him was he was listed as an authorized repair person. After I told him I found the price part cheaper on Samsung he said it was something else I reported it to Samsung and they told me I should ask for his diagnosis in writing . In all honesty for a $95 fee to go towards parts he should at least have the decency to respond in writing. Very very poor way to treat a customer that trusted and paid. It's not about the money it's the unprofessional , ethic and failing to follow through with a customer. Red flag should have been when he ask how many devices I had plugged into the TV ? Really Cable box and DVD player he couldn't even figure that out ? See that ? He really didn't care the way I see it East money for him to come and charge a fee with no intent to repair. Any business out there that does repairs please contact me. I will be reporting this to the Better Business Bureau and to Samsung in writing as well. read more

Rarely these days does one find someone giving the kind of service that Frank of A & J QUICK TV gave me. I hate to say it's kind of like the olden days, but it is. Personalized service with caring and expertise knowledge to the hilt. I wasn't rushed, I wasn't hurried and I had a million questions as only a Virgo would. Frank was patient with me, answered every question, and even told me the "why's of how things work. His attitude was consistently sweet and I swear he knows everything about televisions! I contacted him several times and the service was always impeccable! He even called me to make sure my new 65" Samsung was operating to the high standard possible. Anyway, I'm so happy that there are still people like Frank in the world. read more

I am very happy to recommend this excellent service despite the fact that my TV is kaput. Frank is extremely knowledgeable and has worked in this field for decades. He was prompt, kind, patient and although I am something of a tech lame, he explained very clearly why he knew that my television was not worth fixing. I was delighted to call around 9:00 in the morning and be able to have him make a service call that very same day. He even called to tell me he was on the way. This is not someone who has had a few weeks' training and really doesn't know what he's doing. He is an expert and was able to give me advice about where to buy a new television and get free warranty for three years when I only pay for one. He recommended how to recycle e-waste, he gave me his opinion about brands and really took his time. read more

A & J Quick TV - Frank knew it was a defective board! - Electronics Repair Near Me - Morgan Hill, California

I have the highest respect for this company. The owner was extremely helpful to me over the phone, giving an extraordinary amount of his time just to help me make an informed decision - without any financial commitment on my part. That's customer service! And plain and simple generosity of the heart = Integrity. I would consider this a rare and exemplary business in consumer electronics test and repair. Give them a call, and you will be glad you did. read more

Do not use.. Paid over $250 to have a DLP repaired. Less than 2 months later the TV had the same problem as before...no picture. Called them back and asked them to come take a look. They told me they would call me back. That was 9 months ago and no return call. Yelp is filtering all their 1 star ratings for some reason. Buyer beware. read more

Listed 2x in yelp so I'll copy paste my review here as well! The personable customer service is above and beyond. This is a local family business that has been around since 1958! WOW! 3 points for just that alone. =) After dealing with frustrating Samsung 1-800 service reps, I was forwarded to this local service provider. Of course, I was flustered and frustrated after getting off the phone with Samsung and admittedly less than pleasant with Liana, the first contact when you call A&J Quick TV. She was so patient, friendly and clear. I really appreciated her professionalism even with my disorganized, multiple calls. Samsung really threw me for a loop! Grrr. Richard was sent out to take a look at our tv and had to take it in to get the issue addressed. I just knew our tv was taken care of and when they say quick...they mean it. Every phone call was returned in a timely manner, service appointment arrived when they said they would, and the tv came back within a couple days. Faster than expected. I really appreciate this business and highly recommend! I hope they continue to stay in business and they should with such awesome service! Our TV is like brand new! Thank you Richard & Liana! read more

I had a problem with the sound on my Panasonic Plasma. After 6 phone calls to Panasonic's warranty number and probably two hours on hold they finally sent a tech from A & J Quick to fix my TV. A & J Quick's guy showed up right on time. He had the parts needed to do the repair. He was quick and professional. Fixed the TV in less time than one phone call to Panasonic. Highly recommended. read more

My experience was for a Mistsubishi DLP chip replacement: after finally getting through to Mitsubishi and getting a support response (as they had previously been denying any help for this common problem), they scheduled a service call using A&J Quick TV. It was less than an hour after talking to Mitsubishi that I got a call from A&J to scheduled an appt to come out and replace the chip. The arrival was on-time, the replacement was smooth and quick, he was conscientious of the dirtiness of the parts and took them outside to clean them, and stayed to make suire the TV was working OK. And the labor was as advertised, and the same as others on the Internet had reported (for this particular job). All in all, a great experience!! read more

My Mitsubishi WD-62725 had the dreaded red light on lamp indicator. I went ahead and ordered a new lamp from Amazon.Com. But on inserting it accidentally pushed the connector back in to the TV. I took the TV apart and connected the cable from the ballast but did notice the bracket had come off. TV still did not work. I checked Mitsubishi's website for authorized service centers and A & J Quick TV was the nearest. I spoke with Frank, who was very patient, courteous and listened as I explained the issue. He agreed to have a tech come out the same day on a Sat to put the cable and bracket back on. He did not think it was a problem with the ballast and lamp was brand new. The quote was $85 for the visit + the time which came to $125. Richard came out and saw the issue and had the bracket and cable on in next to no time. He reassembled the TV with no spare screws and the TV is working again. I was contemplating a new TV but this should keep me going for a lot longer till I find a future set that I want to upgrade to. 5 stars to A & J Quick TV for saving the day. read more

Talked with Frank at the A & J quick TV. Very friendly and explained to the best of his ability what was wrong and the process to get the TV part. It took a while to get it fixed, but that was due to Mitsubishi not sending the part on time :-) I had to call up Mitsu to get the part sent. He showed up during the appointment time and fixed the TV to my satisfaction plus explained some stuff about my TV too. It's like the cherry on the float. Would recommend to my best friend. read more

I was having internet connectivity issues with my recently purchased Samsung TV. Cable company kept telling me that it was my TV, although I had 3 other TV's with the same issue of streaming continuously and stopping. After hours of Samsung customer service they referred me to A & J's TV. I talked with Frank on the phone at length, he even talked with the cable repairman at length, and said he would order a new motherboard. He came out within a few days, went straight to replacing the motherboard, and the same issue was happening immediately. Frank shared his knowledge and opinions and was right on target! After much time spent going over the issues and reviewing what was going on, the problem was not the tv (or motherboard) at all but, in fact, cable. After troubleshooting and sharing his expert knowledge, he was able to get the tv's running better than ever! If it wasn't for his up to date technological knowledge and experience, the tv's would not be working at this time. Frank never gave up and continued to help resolve a year-long problem. He was professional, extremely knowledgeable, and his customer service was impeccable beyond my expectations. I would recommend Frank for any tv/internet related issues. read more

TV problem, but I was going to be home when the TV guy was coming to do the repair. I was thinking, hope its not like cable, phone, etc. people give you between certain hours to wait and wait then they don't show... All kinds of research on the TV, to find out why his TV was getting a white dot, that turned to three dots, then dice shape, the he could see the big dipper, then milky way...UGH! My boyfriend was upset, and can't live without his TV! So started a to do research from google: to blogs: to others people same issues with their TV; finally found; [ FixyourDLP.com ]. Mitsubishi is replacing these DMD IC chips nationwide under an unannounced kind of recall for model # WD60C9, WD73733, WD57734, WDY657, WD73734, WD65735, WD60735, WD65C9, WD73840, WD65833, WD65733, WD73735, WD73833, WD57733, WD65734, and others. Call them at (800) 332 - 2119 and give them your model, serial number, and date of purchase. To find the Mitsubishi TV was covered under warranty, they ship the part to the TV repair. Then you only pay for the labor part. So pricing the TV's, the labor part was going to be $ 200.00. Work was guaranteed to be right. So figured if it would be like how it was when he bought it, only paying the two hundred was such a big hurt in the pocket book. Note: earlier in the year (July 2012) the light bulb went out, so he boyfriend bought it at Fry's electronics $120.00 and replaced that himself. (Easy fix replacing light bulb). So the gentleman knocks on the door, introduces himself as Frank. He gave arrival time to repair between hours 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. He was at the house at 8:40 a.m., right on time. I was super happy, because my day was not waiting long for repair guy. Frank (repairman) was happy because the TV was already turned around, making his job easy for him to get in back of the TV. He unscrewed back panel, pulled out the box part, said he was going to take the box part outside to test in his vehicle, and add new chip part. About half hour goes by he was carrying the part back in, replacing box part back into TV, then tested TV to make sure it worked fine. It looked like a brand new TV, worth the $ 200.00 dollars. ECO Friendly: So my moral of this story is don't get rid of it, unless its not worth fixing. Total bulb $120.00 (Work replacing light bulb in July), and then the repairman Frank cost $200.00 = 320.00 for TV looks brands new again. Saved over $ 775.00 from having to buy the TV again. HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY - GAME BACK ON! The A & J Quick TV Family owned since 1958. Thats why this company is around that many years, great service. They repair all kinds of the modern equipment HDTV, DLP, LCD, PLASMA, to the older stuff VCR, & DVD. I can tell you that Frank Castronovo, was a miracle worker for the TV! He came to the house, on time. Did the job, and explained the issue. Cleaned his mess, checked the TV twice to make sure working properly. Great old fashion service! read more

We went here to get our plasma tv repaired. The TV picture went away. We called a number of people and they all said we needed new boards. Anyway we went to this place because they were close to our house. They were a bit more pricy ($100) then one of the other people we called but the other place had to many TVs at the time so they couldn't take ours. It took 2 months and a week to get it repaired. Other places said 1-2 weeks and originally A&J said 2 weeks. First thing to know is they NEVER call you. If you want your TV done you should call them. We called them after 2 weeks and they were barely ordering the parts. After that we called every 2 weeks and the parts took forever to come in. We live in Nor Cal and the parts were coming from LA so it isn't even that far. I can drive to LA in 5 hours and it seemed to take like a month and a half to get the parts here. Then after they finally got the parts in they said it would take a week to repair the TV. We called again when they said it would be done and it wasn't finished. We waited another week to call and it was finally finished just that day we called. They were in no rush at all to get the TV repaired and didn't even apologize for how long it took. I understand that it is an estimation of time but PHONES DO EXIST they could have kept us updated. NEVER once did they call us! We always had to call them to get an up date. I do think they deserve the 1 star. One of the guys there knows a crap load about TVs and believe me he will enlighten you for an hour if you let him (1/2 star). When we did get the TV back it does work fine and the picture is just as good as ever (1/2 star). If you don't mind being without your TV for a LONG period of time without any notion of when it will be done please go to these people. Also keep in mind I do believe they are more expensive then other repair services with the exception of the actual manufacture probably (ie Samsung). Good luck! read more

Frank was knowledgeable and professional. Replaced a board that was causing volume issues on my Vizio 4K TV

I wouldn't recommend this company to fix anything! Frank had my TV for 4 months and never called me, not once! I had to call him to find out anything and everything! He said he said he couldn't fix it and told me I could get it at the drop off point and he would call when he dropped it off! Again he never called!! And to top it all off I gave him a motherboard for my TV (besides the one in the TV) and he didn't give it back to me. So I called an he said he would mail it back. Yep you guessed it!! Never got it back and no call from him! He is completely unprofessional and I wouldn't use him again! read more

Called to get STAT help! Rainy day, 2 and 4 year olds with Grandma who hasn't even had coffee yet and no sound on TV. Fantastic, honest service! My Philips 42" TV stopped working - no picture. I suspected a power problem. I took in the TV. My expectations were set that individual components were no longer analyzed, and that analysis was performed at the board level. I think the estimate was $900 for a board. He ordered the board. What he received did not fit my TV. So he debugged the components on the power board, replaced a few capacitors and voila - it worked! The invoice was for $200 after all his work. I appreciate your professionalism and skill. Thank-you! read more

I took my TV in to A&J to get looked at because of some flickering issues that I had. It got to the point that the TV was not working at all. After not hearing back from A&J for 2 weeks i decided to give them a call and see what was up. I was told that they were still looking at it trying to figure out what was wrong. I said great, please give me a call when you know. 2 more weeks go by, no call. I call back and say what's the deal, they tell me it should be an easy fix, just waiting on the part. I say great, please give me a call when you know. Another week goes by, no call. I call back and they say, there may be another issue with the TV, we're testing it out. I said that's great, but why has no one called me at all? They appologiesed and said they'd call back within a day or two and let me know more. Another week goes by, no call. I call back and they say it's a big issue and it'll cost several hundred dollars to repair. I say forget it and please dispose of the TV. I think you see the problem here. It's not that the TV was busted, it was the communication, or lack thereof. I honestly may have forgotten one or two phone calls in the mix there. Every time I talked to them, they were helpful, but I was specific everytime asking them to call me back with an update. After 2 months I didn't receive ONE call, no exaggeration. I would not go back to them for anything. You're better off trying to do it yourself. I would have had the same results they got and it would have taken a day. Don't waste your time with these guys. read more

This place might have been good months or years ago, but now the do not return e-mails or phone calls timely in an effort to confirm repair status. Likely due to serious financial problems, which is why the location is under construction for a restaurant. Update to my review of 4/4/2012. It is now 1/27 and still no TV. No promised call backs, just more and more excuses. And no effort to make it better. They have no skills what so ever in service, and tell you lies to get you off the phone. Interesting they do not belong to the BBB, if they did, they would spend all their time answering complaints. We are picking up our broken TV, minus the part, because according to them, they sent it to Pioneer, What I really think is that they have poor business relations with the parts people and cannot get what the customer needs in a timely manner. They don't want to call you regarding the status of your set, but they will spend 20+ minutes making excuses for themselves when you call them. If you have any sense at all, do not use this business!! As I am forced to enter a rating, I will give them one star. In reality, I give them nothing. read more

The technician was good but A & J Quick TV LACKS customer service due to poor communication. In short our TV has been down for over 5.5 months. First set of parts took 3 months to arrive and the second batch of parts came in broken according to the technician. We keep following up yet we get no return calls. We've tried to escalate the issue with the extended warranty company and they say we need to talk to the technician that doesn't call us back. We have been tolerant but our patience is running thin due to the lack of communication with the technician and extended warranty company. If you need us to HELP you get the replacement parts, please communicate to us so we can help resolve the issue. If you called us back you would know we want to make sure you bring a new lamp so we don't have to wait for another service call. **We will updated this post as things progress with our case.** read more
