Top-tier quality service! After 2 years of searching for a place to fix my Technics 1200 turntables, I discovered Sertech. This place is a gem. Whatever the audio issue is, these guys can fix it. They took in both of my turntables and ran a diagnostic within a couple of weeks. After that, they called me with an update and proceeded to do the work. This was all done within the time I had requested. This place gets busy. They get people bringing in equipment from as far as Sacramento! But they are organized and I was updated throughout the process. They are short on space but note every item. You are welcome to call them any time to check on your equipment, and they actually answer! This place got the job done. They fixed my turntables for a reasonable price in a timely manner. Well done! Bravo! Oh, and it you can't find this place, it's hidden in the plaza behind the Golfland.

Damage on turntable.

One of my Technics turntables got damaged during a recent move. Sertech fixed it for way cheaper than it would have cost to get a new one. The shop is always backed up due to all the work they do, but it is well worth the wait if you have the time. Great experience overall.

Norm is a cool dude. He fixed my 70s Kenwood easily and for a fair price. I would highly suggest that you bring whatever needs fixing or troubleshooting asap as his little shop is booked solid for months. Located by Oakridge Mall in San Jose.

Great repair on old audio. Equipped to repair very old tape equipment. Also sold the unit for a small commission.

All they care is $$$. Once you dropped the gear, expect 5+ months to get an response if you're lucky enough they didn't lose your gear!!!

Super busy shop, took a bit of time. My old Pioneer turntable is good as new, so worth the wait. Highly recommend!

Is there a repair warranty?

Do you repair portable audio? I've a JVC PC-55 needing some work.

I just dropped off my portable stereo (boombox) at Sertech for repairs. Norman said that whether he could fix it or not all depended on if he could get parts for it. The original manufacturer, Lloyd's, is long-gone so I imagine that Norman will… Read more

I have a blown out JBL Charge 3 bluetooth speaker. Would you be able to fix it?

Norm is always willing to help. But usually these items are not worth repairing. $79 fee to inspect, credited towards repairs. But he'll take a quick "look" without charge. Depends on the problem but usually it makes sense to repair electronics… Read more

I've got 2 ADS 810 speakers in for woofer replacement at Sertech, I keep calling to check on them but get no answer. I live over 2 hours away and cannot just stop by. Anybody know what is going on with Sertech? I'm worried!

I'm sure this person has figured it out by now but for future potential customers...If you are looking to get your equipment fixed soon, (let's say less than 6-8 weeks) This is Not the place for you! To reiterate, Sertech is a two man operation… Read more

Can Sertech repair/replace the speaker braids (lead in wires) on my car stereo speakers? They are Focal, K2 Power 6.5 inch mid/bass with pure aluminum phase plugs. If the price is right, I'd rather have the pros do it than repairing them myself.…

I don't think this is their area of expertise. They're a stereo component repair shop. If you take the speakers out of the car they might be able to help you. But just call them and ask.

There was something very sus about doing business with this storefront and I was right…read more I came here last month to have my phone inspected since it had bricked. I was told the inspection itself had costed a figure over 100 dollars but that if I pay the one time membership fee of 39 dollars it would be free inspections for life. I asked for any brochures that explained what my 39 dollars was being paid towards and what benefits I would be getting but they had nothing... A couple weeks later I came back and decided to pay the amount. I received a generic response from Google that my device was not able to be repaired. Weird, I would have thought uBreakiFix would have reached out and that seemed pretty unclear and lazy IMO. Anyway I picked up my phone a few days later thinking that was the end of that. Until 3 days ago I got a recurring charge for another 39 dollars. WTF. There was zero communication about a recurring fee and when they reimbursed me they reimbursed me 35 dollars because I called once I noticed 1 day into the next month and got processed a couple days later? Come on. Part of it feels like it's on me because apparently if you go to a non franchise store (which is what this is) you can get your device checked out for free then you don't have to go through this deceitful process. Then again customers shouldn't be led to be deceived.
