Just gave these folks a call and the person who answered the phone was SO helpful! I had some…read morequestions about fixing turntables and some other super old equipment and he gave me honest and helpful answers about whether it's worth restoring them. The person was very knowledgeable about quality audio equipment and even though they didn't specialize in fixing my type of turntables, they referred me to a couple other places that might be able to help. I'm sure that if they were fixing anything of mine, I'd be in good hands. Definitely recommend!

I met Nick many years ago when I needed an honest factory tech for my Rega P5 turntable. It was…read moreintroducing an electrical hum into the phono stage and the Rega rep who originally sold it to me wanted to sell me new tubes for my preamp instead of identifying the problem with the turntable. I walked out and never went back. Since then I've relied on Nick to help me put together a sound system that I am now *very* happy with. No BS, just solid advice, long experience, an impressive depth of knowledge and a genuine desire to get you the best sound you've ever had. Nick will tell you the truth. He can repair and upgrade as well. He primarily represents Audio Note UK (which now comprises the bulk of my system) but he specializes in getting the best sound, new or pre owned, for you within your means. This is genuinely important to him. Nick and his wife Lee are good people. I trust them.

Wow, wish I had looked at these reviews before taking in my phone. I went on a whim while my son…read moreand his friend were at a movie in the mall. I had a cracked screen that worked, but was unsightly (ie just a cosmetic problem). 90 days after my screen was replaced here, I now have what is essentially a non-functional screen. It stops responding to touch for long periods of time. They wouldn't comp a replacement after 90 days, so now I'll be shelling out $600 for a new phone. Booooooooo.

Of all the businesses I've reviewed during my work and leisure travels across Europe and North…read moreAmerica, the vast majority have been overwhelmingly positive. I stand on that reputation in reviewing this gross anomaly that deserves this extremely negative review. In looking for a simple UK to US plug adaptor on one of my quarterly visits to America, I searched for a store that sold them. On entering The Fix at Oakridge Mall in San Jose, California, I thought the prices inflated, but felt this plug adaptor might suffice. However, upon being able to retrieve one already where I was staying on this visit, I went back to the shop it. I was told by the store representative that there was a "No Returns Policy," which he pointed out on the receipt, but was not alerted to me on purchase. He said The Fix could only offer an exchange or a store credit. Not having any use for the other inflated-price merchandise there, there was nothing to exchange it for. On glancing at the receipt on closer inspection, I also saw there was a 3% Mark-Up for Credit Card Usage, as depicted in the attached receipt. Please be wary and shop at your own risk in this repugnant establishment. During these difficult times, the last thing someone wants is gross dishonesty, combined with discrete, wilful and intentional deceit. Please look at my other reviews for comparison, and understand that writing to warn others of this appalling establishment must merit strong reason. I hope this helps a few people.
