I haven't had too many electronic repair experience but very happy with KT Electronics. Got my old but can't-find-anymore 3-level touch-sensitive nightstand lamp repaired. He honestly advised that I just buy a new set during drop-off and after diagnostics. He was very collaborative and addressed all of my questions and concerns. I went to this place trying to get my computer diagnosed and repaired in July last year. The person told me very confidently that it was the issue of the fan, and the only thing needed was to replace it. Also, they promised a date when the fan would be available, and I believed it. However, when the day came, they said they would need another few days. Using the computer was very important to me, so I got annoyed and switched to another place. At the new place, I was told the issue with my computer was because of a completely different reason, and they helped me repair it smoothly. Glad that the delay helped me avoid further loss with this unreliable KY electronics. Unfortunately, although the diagnosis result was a complete error. I was not refunded for the diagnosis fee. Edit: The business owner replied saying that my job was on May 29, 2024, which is completely false. I wasn't even at the Bay Area during that time. Either he intentionally mixed me up with someone else or simply made up the story. Apparently, I have no point of making up a negative review if being satisfied as the customer, but the business owner has full motivation to respond to negative reviews by making up stories when he cannot reasonably dispute it, and it seems he has been doing it for many other reviews as well. read more

Prompt response to email. Clear explanation of the work to be done and cost involved. I am having them collect recent photos from a crushed iPhone. Well- they were fast and professional. The phone was locked (of course) so when they got it running I needed to come back in to unlock it. Once unlocked it was trivial to airdrop the photos to my new phone. Confusing pricing and poor conduct. I came in to purchase an item listed on their eBay store after being told to stop by. The in-store price was suddenly much higher than what was shown online. When I asked about the difference and whether there was any flexibility given I was buying locally, the response was unexpectedly hostile--raised voice, dismissive tone, and no attempt to explain. If the price is fixed, that's fine. But speaking to customers like that is not. There are plenty of other places to buy electronics. read more

ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE - Dishonest, Unprofessional, and a Complete Waste of Time and Money, Total Scam !! This is hands down the worst repair shop experience I have ever had. I gave them my Samsung Fold and Alienware laptop, trusting their confidence and repeated promises. That was a huge mistake. They waived the phone diagnostic fee upfront because I submitted two devices and promised regular updates. After that? Complete silence. No calls. No updates. Nothing. When I followed up, a different staff member rudely demanded a diagnostic fee, saying they couldn't even check the phone without it--a direct contradiction of what I was clearly told earlier. Left with no choice, I paid the diagnostic fees for both devices. Then came over two weeks of pure frustration. Every visit or call meant dealing with a new person, none of whom knew what was going on. I had to chase them constantly, only to hear excuses every time. In the end: Phone was NOT fixed Laptop was NOT fixed Phone diagnostic fee was NOT refunded, despite their promise to repair it After wasting weeks of my time, they casually admitted they couldn't repair either device and simply handed them back completely unrepaired. What made this experience truly disgusting was their behavior. When I calmly asked for a refund for the phone diagnostic fee (since they explicitly promised a fix), the staff became rude, aggressive, and dismissive. I was told: "Call tomorrow. "Manager is on a business trip, Call next week" Just lies, excuses, and broken promises. To top it all off, instead of resolving the issue professionally, they tried to low-ball me by offering to buy my devices for parts, as if they were doing me a favor after wasting my time and money. This shop is unprofessional, dishonest, incompetent, and disrespectful. They have zero accountability and no respect for customers or expensive devices. I took my phone to UBreakIFix when my screen got cracked and the phone wouldn't work. They had it for a week, but were unable to fix it. Got the phone back and then a guy at T-Mobile told me about this place. They had it for a little while, but ordered parts for it 3 times. I have used KT Electronics to resolve a myriad of issues and basically put them through hell to solve problems regarding a hacked domain, email issues, issues between Microsoft and GoDaddy, and just a tunnel of grind your teeth problems that derived therefrom. I conducted myself more professionally than both of your employees, who are significantly older than me and should know better. Second, the greeting you claim your staff gives everyone absolutely did NOT happen. There was: No hello No welcome No acknowledgment whatsoever Not only did your employees fail to greet us, they actually stopped talking to us mid-conversation to assist another customer who walked in after us -- a customer who happened to be of their same ethnicity. The difference in treatment was obvious and disrespectful. Your claim that we were treated "no different" is simply untrue. Third, the PC we brought in is relatively new and lightly used, not old or worn out. The lowball offer of $300 was not only ridiculous but predatory. Pair that with how carelessly the PC was handled, and your staff's attitude clearly showed judgment, disrespect, and bias. Your lack of accurate information and quick judgment is showing. And no I was not "desperate." I followed your team's instructions. When I called earlier, your staff told me you could NOT give a quote over the phone and that I needed to bring the PC in person. Now you're blaming me for doing exactly what your business told me to do. Fourth, I have footage of the interaction because I had to record for my own safety and peace of mind. The moment things escalated -- not because of us, but because of your own employee's aggression -- your staff started closing doors and locking up as if we were attempting to steal something. That is racial profiling. And no narrative you spin will change that. Lastly, your entire message attacking my age, calling me childish, and making false claims only reflects poorly on your business. You can defend your staff all you want, but the reality is: Your team was unwelcoming Your team was rude Your team was racist in their behavior Your team was unprofessional And instead of correcting it, you doubled down You are all grown men who work in -- and own -- a business. Well this place has great customer service. I had my iPad Air 11 inch bent and the charger port would not connect for power the housing was bent from rolling over it while sleeping I am a heavy guy. So I've been going to KT Electronics for the past 10+ years for all my tech issues. He is extremely knowledgeable in the field and can repair pretty much everything from gaming consoles to your PC to phone devices. I recently had some issues with my PC and I brought it over to his store. He assessed the issue and his team was able to handle my problem in a very reasonable time frame. His turn around time was no more than a few days depending on your problem. Once I got my PC pack, I had some extra problems but that was more so from my end/user error. I told him what else I was dealing with and he didn't hesitate to help and was able to resolve the problem within a matter of minutes of working on it. It was for diagnostic, after he said something I was dissatisfied so I came to pick up my phone. as I walked in he hounds me about the receipt.
