The disruptions are frequent and too many times have made my home server unreachable while traveling. Most of the time the service resumes, but on occasion I've had to have a neighbor or relative enter my home and reset the connection for me. Super effing inconvenient! Also, there is no roadmap for connections faster than 1 Gigabit, even while even more worthless competitors like Xfinity and AT&T offer 2.5 and even 5 Gigabit. And lastly, they increased their rates a few months ago. They offered a discount if you paid for a year in advance, but offered no way to do that online. It wasn't until I contacted customer service, that they gave me the details of how to do so: by writing a physical check and sending it to a physical address, no ACH or Credit Card options (which are available to those who pay monthly). Like, I'm boomer AF, so I still have a few checks laying around, but who else in 2025 still has a checkbook? When it works, I'm grateful, but internet service is binary. I just need it to work. Always. And it doesn't. End of story.

He took the patients to listen and the time to fix the phone.. this man should be a manager, his professionalism, and how polite and comfortable he made us feel through this frustrating process that we had already been through. Felix Aguilar retail sales. Everyone should request him.. He's the best of the best of Xfinity.. what a great representative for this company. I can't even explain to you how frustrated and angry we were of the issues that could not be corrected.. he fixed everything this man deserves a definite raise or promotion. Visited the Xfinity store in Union City to pick up a self-install modem. This appears to be a…read moreflagship location in the only major shopping center in the area, so a busy Saturday night is not surprising. What was surprising was that only three associates were working while the store was packed. I was told that even simple self-install modem pickups go through the same queue as full-service transactions. That meant a long, awkward wait just to grab a pre-ordered box. To be clear, the employees were apologetic and professional. They were doing the best they could with what they had. This is not a frontline issue. However, from someone with 15 years of retail telecom experience (including time with AT&T), this is a staffing and workflow failure. Peak retail nights in high-traffic flagship locations require proper coverage and throughput planning. An express pickup system or adequate staffing would dramatically improve customer experience. I genuinely hope the regional director reviews store performance and addresses this. On a major shopping night, this level of understaffing is unacceptable.

The Good ° $65 a month, no guessing ° More reliable than Xfinity ° Better Customer service than Xfinity & AT&T - You can reach them by text and they respond back quite quickly ° Easy & clean installation ° Upload speed is amazing! I'd only get 6-14 Mbps with Xfinity, so 90 Mbps is a huge upgrade for streaming The Bad ° The wireless point to point isn't blazing fast. Average 315-420 Mbps - Only really felt when gaming or updating The Ugly ° Not Tekify's fault, really it's largely the whole bay area, but no fiber option at my old house and at my new house ° Can't service a lot of friends I've recommended because of trees blocking line of sight Xfinity had better speed overall but I was always guessing what I'd get from day to day and it would always randomly go down. For half the price and better reliability and customer service, Tekify is a much better value!

We worked with Ryan, who was able to answer all our questions. Their monthly rate is 1/2 what we paid for Xfinity. It's only been a week, but our internet has not dropped once. Moises, the installer, arrived on time and did the entire installation himself in about 4 hours. He first set up a temporary antenna to check the download and upload speeds. Our speed was even better than what they had quoted. Once the antenna was set up on our roof, a cable is then connected to an outlet in our house. Once we set up our routers, everything worked seamlessly. Moises didn't leave until we confirmed that all of our devices were connected. If you live in the Fremont or neighboring areas, I highly recommend Tekify for your internet service.

I had to absolute worst customer experience here ever!! The guy on the phone was so rude he hung up…read moreon me before I even finished saying what the problem was. The second time I called the same customer service number 1 week later at (844) 429-1763 the same guy picked up again. This time he was extremely condescending and kept repeating the same thing 3x and then spoke at a super slow speed saying since I can't seem to understand him, he was going to say each word at the speed of a turtle since I was too stupid to understand him apparently. What he was repeating to me was that I would have to pay a lifetime fee of $300+ on top of the $400 I just spent on replacing an old Orbi. I just wanted to know more about this new system he was telling me where they no longer provide the security since after 2026 products and now you have to pay this new hidden fee that they never mentioned anywhere before unless I went and asked them myself, which in this case he was so rude about it that I will no longer be a customer here and I'm returning all their products. It's so bad never ever buy their stuff.

Subject: Complaint Regarding Defective Product and Unfair Refund - NETGEAR MK62 via Fivestar Depot…read moreon Amazon I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding the recent purchase of the NETGEAR Nighthawk Whole Home Mesh WiFi 6 System (MK62), purchased via Amazon from Fivestar Depot. This was my second purchase of this product. My first unit worked for approximately 14 months. However, with this second unit, one of the two components (either the router or the satellite extender) was non-functional upon arrival. I contacted Fivestar Depot immediately. While they did respond with troubleshooting suggestions, the issue persisted. I then hired a professional IT technician--at our own cost--to attempt repairs. The technician was able to get the router to work temporarily (for 3 days), after which it failed again. This clearly indicates a defective unit, not user damage. Following this, I contacted both Fivestar Depot and Amazon, and returned the item expecting a full refund. At no point was an exchange or warranty service offered. To my surprise, Fivestar Depot withheld 50% of the refund, claiming the item was "used." I find this unacceptable. Naturally, I unboxed and attempted to use the item to test it--it arrived defective. There is no evidence that I caused damage in the very short time we had the product. I believe: The item shipped was already partially defective. I took every reasonable step to resolve the issue. The current situation reflects poorly on both Fivestar Depot's business practices and NETGEAR's oversight of third-party sellers.
