The disruptions are frequent and too many times have made my home server unreachable while traveling. Most of the time the service resumes, but on occasion I've had to have a neighbor or relative enter my home and reset the connection for me. Super effing inconvenient! Also, there is no roadmap for connections faster than 1 Gigabit, even while even more worthless competitors like Xfinity and AT&T offer 2.5 and even 5 Gigabit. And lastly, they increased their rates a few months ago. They offered a discount if you paid for a year in advance, but offered no way to do that online. It wasn't until I contacted customer service, that they gave me the details of how to do so: by writing a physical check and sending it to a physical address, no ACH or Credit Card options (which are available to those who pay monthly). Like, I'm boomer AF, so I still have a few checks laying around, but who else in 2025 still has a checkbook? When it works, I'm grateful, but internet service is binary. I just need it to work. Always. And it doesn't. End of story.

We came to the Union City store, where Felix Aguilar was there.. He took the patients to listen and the time to fix the phone.. this man should be a manager, his professionalism, and how polite and comfortable he made us feel through this frustrating process that we had already been through. Felix Aguilar retail sales. Everyone should request him.. He's the best of the best of Xfinity.. what a great representative for this company. I can't even explain to you how frustrated and angry we were of the issues that could not be corrected.. he fixed everything this man deserves a definite raise or promotion. Because of him we will stay with Xfinity and will probably always go to the union store.. and we don't live close to their. Thank you, Felix. I can't tell you how much we appreciate you..     Visited the Xfinity store in Union City to pick up a self-install modem. This appears to be a…read moreflagship location in the only major shopping center in the area, so a busy Saturday night is not surprising. What was surprising was that only three associates were working while the store was packed. I was told that even simple self-install modem pickups go through the same queue as full-service transactions. That meant a long, awkward wait just to grab a pre-ordered box. To be clear, the employees were apologetic and professional. They were doing the best they could with what they had. This is not a frontline issue. However, from someone with 15 years of retail telecom experience (including time with AT&T), this is a staffing and workflow failure. Peak retail nights in high-traffic flagship locations require proper coverage and throughput planning. An express pickup system or adequate staffing would dramatically improve customer experience. I genuinely hope the regional director reviews store performance and addresses this. On a major shopping night, this level of understaffing is unacceptable.

The Good ° $65 a month, no guessing ° More reliable than Xfinity ° Better Customer service than Xfinity & AT&T - You can reach them by text and they respond back quite quickly ° Easy & clean installation ° Upload speed is amazing! I'd only get 6-14 Mbps with Xfinity, so 90 Mbps is a huge upgrade for streaming The Bad ° The wireless point to point isn't blazing fast. Average 315-420 Mbps - Only really felt when gaming or updating The Ugly ° Not Tekify's fault, really it's largely the whole bay area, but no fiber option at my old house and at my new house ° Can't service a lot of friends I've recommended because of trees blocking line of sight Xfinity had better speed overall but I was always guessing what I'd get from day to day and it would always randomly go down. For half the price and better reliability and customer service, Tekify is a much better value!

We worked with Ryan, who was able to answer all our questions. Their monthly rate is 1/2 what we paid for Xfinity. It's only been a week, but our internet has not dropped once. Moises, the installer, arrived on time and did the entire installation himself in about 4 hours. He first set up a temporary antenna to check the download and upload speeds. Our speed was even better than what they had quoted. Once the antenna was set up on our roof, a cable is then connected to an outlet in our house. Once we set up our routers, everything worked seamlessly. Moises didn't leave until we confirmed that all of our devices were connected. If you live in the Fremont or neighboring areas, I highly recommend Tekify for your internet service.

    If I could I would give them 0 stars! Please beware, this place WILL scam you…read more Been customers for over 2 years, and I went to get my home internet plan checked. I wanted to stay closer to what I had been paying for the past 2 years. They completely switched plans, not telling me what they were doing. They ended up putting me on a more expensive plan telling me it would be one price, only to realize it's actually more than double of what they said. Went back into the store to sort it out and said there is nothing they can do and to go to a corporate store (they are apparently a franchise). They lied and now I am locked in a plan I did not ask for nor was it explained to me and no one is willing to help or acknowledge how the associate lied about something and they won't fix it.

Oh Xfinity got ya tied with those packages for internet! #Ridiculous! After dealing with online Xfinity assistance, calling 3 separate times, talking to different reps (within the U.S then outside the Country) and transferred to numerous departments (retention) not deviating from a script it was a major pain! Just keep my internet and lower my %#*#&$# plan! Sheesh Fortunately, an Xfinity Store by Comcast is now in Hayward. Walked in on a weekday which is always the best time to visit (or make an online appt) even if dropping off and picking up NEW equipment. I was quickly greeted by Julia who was friendly and helpful. Brandon, the store manager was equally helpful, patient and explained what was needed and my plan. Bryce who was shadowing mentioned he was new and apologized for any delay. Overall, wonderful customer service (without judgment) as negotiating a plan and getting new equipment is not my forte! Something I wish I had done instead of calling and trying to handle things online. I was outta there within 15 mins! Even though Xfinity Store by Comcast has been at Lincoln Landing (at the former Mervyn's Headquarters) since Dec 2024 I don't think word is out yet as my visit was quick and painless with no wait! Located along Foothill Boulevard next to Sourdough & Co (yummy!) and visible from the main thoroughfare. Plenty of lot parking with other eateries nearby: Chipotle and Habit Burger.
