My husband and I had dealt with many Xfinity stores the Oakland and the San Leandro store. His phone stopped working and he was already on his fourth day.. for some reason, the e-card was not connecting, and no one knew what to do with it. We came to the Union City store, where Felix Aguilar was there.. He took the patients to listen and the time to fix the phone.. this man should be a manager, his professionalism, and how polite and comfortable he made us feel through this frustrating process that we had already been through. Felix Aguilar retail sales. Everyone should request him.. He's the best of the best of Xfinity.. what a great representative for this company. I can't even explain to you how frustrated and angry we were of the issues that could not be corrected.. he fixed everything this man deserves a definite raise or promotion. Visited the Xfinity store in Union City to pick up a self-install modem. This appears to be a flagship location in the only major shopping center in the area, so a busy Saturday night is not surprising. What was surprising was that only three associates were working while the store was packed. I was told that even simple self-install modem pickups go through the same queue as full-service transactions. That meant a long, awkward wait just to grab a pre-ordered box. To be clear, the employees were apologetic and professional. They were doing the best they could with what they had. This is not a frontline issue. However, from someone with 15 years of retail telecom experience (including time with AT&T), this is a staffing and workflow failure. Peak retail nights in high-traffic flagship locations require proper coverage and throughput planning. An express pickup system or adequate staffing would dramatically improve customer experience. I genuinely hope the regional director reviews store performance and addresses this. On a major shopping night, this level of understaffing is unacceptable. read more

OK, I normally am a fair person. I like everyone and most know this! I had this very unpleasant experience at the Union City Xfinity Store today 5/4/26. I went in to change my package deal with them. The Agent (Darnell) asked me to come over to help me. He did not introduce his self or even say "Hi, welcome to xfinity". Oh well, no biggie! Anyway, it turns out that they cannot adjust your package with them unless it's an upgrade (I found out with another agent). He then said I would have to contact customer service. I said, "oh no, they use an overseas Philippine call center" He said "Well what's wrong with that?" I replied, "well there is usually a communication issue because I have trouble understanding them" Anyway, he said "well I'm Philippine" and I responded with "so, I was not talking about you, I can understand you clearly". Then he called me a racist! I never said anything against the Philippine people. I like them fine. But if you're working in America's customer service field, one should be able to speak the language clearly. I could care less about what nationality they are! I tried to help him understand that it was foreign call centers like India also. I can't understand them sometimes. Not all customer service agents just some. He again called me a racist. How does that make me a racist? I like all people, all races. Complaining about not understanding them as they try to help is just a fact, it's a lack of communication issue, not race issue. Honestly, I got friends from both locations and honestly, sometimes I have trouble understanding them as well. But the main difference is were friends, we'll work it out. I set up my account on autopay on my credit card and had no problem until this year when in Jan they requested and were paid. but after that they stopped requesting payments and after three months sent me a bill for $ 220.75 for past due . This is card is still valid and I have spoken to the card company and they have verified that comcast has not requested any payment since Jan. Refuse service , the worst company. I have never experienced "customer service" this hostile. Instead of fixing the issues with my connection, Xfinity effectively refused to provide service. Every time I reached out for a solution, I was met with scripted excuses and zero accountability. They made it clear they had no intention of resolving the problem, essentially driving me away as a customer through sheer incompetence and neglect. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had with any company. At the Xfinity store in Union City, CA, I waited over two hours just to be seen, which is already completely unacceptable. When I explained how frustrating that was, the so called two managers came over and one was condescending, sarcastic, and aggressive instead of helpful. His attitude was unprofessional and dismissive, making it clear that customer concerns don't matter here. To make things even worse, the issue I came in for wasn't even resolved. I was promised a modem over the phone by Xfinity customer service, but when I got to the store, they flat-out refused to provide it. And this isn't the first time I've run into this problem--whether in person or over the phone, Xfinity employees keep saying they "don't take notes" of previous customer conversations about products or services promised. How is that even possible for a company of this size? It leaves customers completely unprotected when staff go back on their word. So after wasting my time, being treated with disrespect, and not receiving all of the equipment I was guaranteed, I left with nothing but frustration. This location, and Xfinity overall, showed me zero respect for my time, my business, or the promises their own company makes. I barely write reviews but worst customer service I've ever experienced. I came into the store to change my plan and remove a home security service since I moved and no longer need it. I drove there specifically because the app wasn't working and no one was answering the phone. The employee who checked me in (a black dude with dreadlocks and earrings) was extremely unprofessional and inattentive. While I was explaining my issue, he was more focused on watching a football game on the TV behind him and scrolling on his phone than actually listening to me. On top of that, he has no customer service skills, and the way he talks is just so unprofessional. When I told him the app and phone support weren't working, he basically said he didn't know how to help and told me to "just call the number or use the app" -- the same things I already explained weren't working. Then he went right back to his phone without offering any real assistance. I didn't drive to the store to be ignored and brushed off. If this is the level of in-store support being offered, it's honestly pointless to come in. Completely unacceptable customer service. I have had a lot of bad experience with this branch and the latest I had just today. I worked in and a black guy got my name in the que. I took a seat next to others, however some how they skipped my name and served 2 people who entered after me. I was patient till then but when I stood up and questioned that you guys skipped my name, they started making excuses. And they told me not to argue. I said fine and took me seat again. The location is clean, organized and what really stood out to me was the supervisor, Joyce. Joyce has a calm, kind personality and handles everything with a great sense of reason. She listens, she cares, and you can tell she genuinely wants to help. If there's a way she can assist you, I truly believe she will consider it. She goes above and beyond what you'd expect from a supervisor at a busy retail location. They have a pretty big parking lot so that won't be an issue for anyone wondering. I was greeted right away and informed I was number 2 in line. I waited maybe 5 minutes before I was helped. Germaine Sanders was friendly, informative, and professional. I got everything I needed completed within 20/25 minutes because I had some meniscal questions. A+ service. Pro, Comcast has a new modem to allow me to recover faster speeds. Con, I have to come back and return the other modem. Value? Well, there is a reason we cut the cable cord. After 1 year of multiple 2 hour phone calls with XFINITY technicians and no results, today I walked into the Union City office and was promptly helped by Sammy. I explained my X1 box turns off frequently sometimes more than once in a day. The resets recommended by multiple XFINITY technicians have been nothing but a very temporary fix. It took Sammy about 5 minutes to give me a new X1 box. The new X1 box is working great so far. Thank you Sammy for your courtesy and outstanding customer service. read more

Very bad Customer Service and Continuous wrong billing of Xfinity . I strongly suggest not to have any service with Xfinity. I will definitely cancel my service once the current contract ends. Here is why I trade-in a phone and had a discount of $499 which will be spread in 24 months (the contract period). However, starting from the first bill till this month, the discount never applied and I got charged the full price of the phone I received from Xfinity for 9 months now. I contacted customer service repeatedly (more than 10 times since July 2024, the first bill starting) via chat and over the phone. --The automated chat never resolved anything. -The virtual chat with agent also never resolved the issue. -The agents on the call I spoke to, all wasted my time by asking so many questions and say "let me transfer you to another department" and kept being transferred upto 4 people and none resolves the issue. I once even stayed on the phone for 2 hours and 35 minutes being transferred form one agent to another and a lot of HOLD time in between, and none resolves the issue. Somedays I get tired of waiting for hours and hnag up the phone & go back to work -The Xfinity Stores I went (3 of them) told me, they can't handle billing issue and told me to contact Online or Phone agents, who didn't solve the issue as I noted above. I finally realized that Xfinity intentionally made the customer service (mainly the Online & Phone Services) too lengthy, so customers can't handle and drop their request and Xfinity kept charging money. So, I found that this is a deliberate cheating on their end and I will take this case to the legal entity that I can afford and claim not only the wrong bills, but also a compensation for all my wasted time of dealing with agents. Meanwhile, I strongly recommend for any new customer NOT TO HAVE ANY TYPE OF SERVICE with Xfinity. It can't get bad any more than this and I can't wait for my contract ends and switch to other service providers both for my Phone, TV, & Internet Services. My Mom, who is 84 years old, was current on her XFINITY/COMCAST bills (for a home line/cable and wifi packages) until she was hospitalized after a bad fall in Nov of 2022. She was living alone at the time. While being in the hospital with brain swelling and unable to walk, much less speak, the monthly charges kept accruing. My Mom was in a hospital bed and was unable to make payments as she used to do her bills by hand and she was not set up to make online/automated payments. Upon me coming up here to visit and take care of her assets while she was incapacitated, I made this bill a priority. I called XFINITY/COMCAST's toll fre numbers and was connected to online supervisors who did nothing to try and help me with this situation. I was then pushed aside to deal with a collection agency whom had taken over the case. That agency, CREDIT COLLECTION SERVICES at 817-581-1111 (725 Canton Street, Norwood, MA 02062) harrassed my mom with calls pretending to be doctors to get her directly on the phone - causing my bedridden mom anxiety and high levels of stress which further prevented her recovery. ***Side Note: I will be pursuing legal action against them shortly as I have documentation and recorded calls*** HANDS DOWN the WORST phone customer service ever! And I want this known to all!!! At this point,I was extremely agitated and decided to physically go into the XFINITY offices, return the cable equipment, connections and routers to bring down the balance. I was fully expecting a confrontation. Erwin, the employee whom I originally met with, was VERY COOL and took the equipment from me, scanned in the barcodes and quickly got some of the fees taken care of. But there was still a balance of $985.00. Erwin spent the time to tell me to get Power of Attorney and to bring the noted documentation in and he can help. Fast forward to a few months later. I went through a lawyer to get my Mom's estate and legan matters taken care of - including a power of attorney. I brought our ID's and paperwork, including the collection bills. While Edwin has since left, I met with employee JASON NARAYAN. Jason took the time to really listen to me as I told him about my Mom's situation and also what Edwin had told me to bring into the office. Jason took all of the paperwork and ID's, scanned everything in and even typed up a HUGE ticket report - sending it to Comcast execs via email. 2 DAYS LATER, THE SITUATION WAS RESOLVED WITH A ZERO BALANCE. And now my ailing momcan rest easily and focus on feeling better. I cannot express my happiness any more with Jason at Comcast/Xfinity in Union City. The rental modem was malfunctioning and I had to chat with support to get it replaced and made an appointment to pick it up at this store. I was told I could pick it up the next day and went there, but there were about 3 customer desks and they were all occupied with other customers. The staff near the entrance heard my name and put me on the waiting list, but I waited over an hour for my turn to simply pick up the replacement modem and leave, but my turn never came. I left when my time ran out, but a customer who seemed to have arrived before me and who was just returning his device also couldn't stand it, so he returned it with a simple greeting and left. I don't think I agree with the practice of putting both customers who make reservations and get through the process relatively quickly and customers who take a relatively long time to select a device and plan on the spot in the same waiting line. read more

2022 Update When my husband and I moved into our new apartment, we were not able to have the competitor any longer (No dish was able to be installed here) so we signed back up with Comcast through a local distributor. The service offerings have changed over the years. So we had the installation team out and chose Xfinity Saver Pro. Xavier installed our Internet, Phone and Television services. It maybe took 25 to 30 minutes to get the whole thing done since our apartment was pre-wired for existing service. They gave us a X-Fi gateway that looks like a white sphere and also a wireless streaming box for the bedroom because it does not have an outlet for cable. But hey! It works great. The internet is pretty fast too, I was able to download an 89 gigabyte game on XBOX One in about 15 to 20 minutes where as ATT, Well I was lucky if it would complete overnight. One thing to realize with the internet service is that they have a data cap of 1.2 terabytes of data. We're fine with that as our usage with our previous service provider average 400 to 500gb in a month (Yes I hit 582 GB in one of the months we had the service) If you go over this limit they will forgive the first time you do it, but then charge you $10 for every 50GB of data they allocate to your account. The Xfinity cable boxes, well they do have apps built in but we prefer Roku better. However, my husband does love the voice remote as it helps him change the channels. Of the time we've had the service since September of 2021, nothing has really gone wrong, it's just more of having something functional and working for our needs. read more

Needing to return equipment after telling Xfinity that I didn't need it...yeah, that's the situation. L O C A T I O N The Xfinity store is located in a small little plaza in front of Walmart. It's in the same plaza as Coldstone Creamery and Gerry's Grill. They share a small parking lot. We easily found a spot right in front. S E R V I C E Well regardless of whether or not you had an appointment, it looked like you just had to stand in line outside. Then they call you in one at a time. You have to put all your stuff out of any kind of boxes and place them on the table. They cannot take ANY of your packaging. Don't bring the cables esp. if you need them like the Coax cables or HDMI or even the remote because they end up throwing them away. We had a complete setup that was completely new and they were all tossed into the garbage. How wasteful! Had I known, I would've kept the cables for our personal use. But when talking to folks on the customer service side on the phone, they kept saying to bring in all the cables and remote, etc. It was fairly fast though when going in. They scanned all the items and I was given a receipt and went on my merry way. I just hope I don't have to call the Xfinity help desk again. I'm a bit tired of it all considering we've been customers for so long. I wish they had offered some kind of discount considering it was their mistake in sending us the equipment and we had to go out of our way to go return it. The person who was handling my return did not smile or greet me or anything. It was very mechanical considering we were standing in the cold for a while. O V E R A L L I don't particularly love Xfinity. I have to use them because we kind of have to. I don't appreciate that the prices for their internet and cable are extraordinarily high considering that we can't get any other service. I got a wifi plan after moving back to CA from MO, and got service with them after 4yrs. They "merged" my account with someone that has a similar last name and canceled my service after a few days WITHOUT ANY NOTICEz I have spent 3 days on the phone and sending documents to verify who I am and where I lived before and now, and their system is so "slow" still have not verified it. Not to mention the person who reviews the documents DOES NOT have a direct line to call. I REPEAT. A PHONE/CABLE/INTERNET COMPANY employee DOES NOT have a direct line to be contacted at!! Going in person to this site was a TOTAL WASTE OF TIME. I work nights and from home and have now not been able to work for 3 DAYS! With xfinity, is not possible to have an iPhone for yourself and have an Apple Watch for your kid with a unique number. This makes the kids Apple Watch obsolete unless you want to buy them a phone to go with the watch. The salesman acted surprised that anyone would want to have an Apple Watch for their kid and told me that Xfinity's customers don't ever need that. I didn't like the policy or the attitude so I am not going to be an xfinity customer. I recently improved the rating from 1 to 3 because I realized the manager was polite, respectful and honest when I spoke with him before I left the store. I don't know why Yelp says this store is closed, it was open today (March 11, 2025) when I went there for my scheduled appointment to activate a phone. No one ever WANTS to go to a cel phone/multi media provider store these days if you can help it, because something often goes wrong. There is a long wait, there is a lot of confusion, or just plain terrible customer service. NONE OF THESE were part of my experience today at the Union City Xfinity store at Union Landing. Most if not all of the credit for that great experience goes to sales consultant Khalil Robertson, who lucky for me was the person who helped me, right on time, for my appointment. Khalil was SUPER. Professional, efficient, and friendly. I don't know where Khalil learned his customer service skills, but he is a role model for anyone aspiring to excellence in that area. He could be promoted to trainer, with a big bump in salary. Thank you again Khalil for such a five star experiences. That in itself is a huge mistake - but we are not changers - person I talked to tried to be nice but literally could not help me because their computer had dropped my name from my dads account - it did not matter that my cell was on record- my email was the email of record and worst of all my bank account has been paying the bill for over 8 years- sorry you names not here can't talk to you- I have finally had it!!! Went in at 2pm. I walked in and as expected it's busy. If you don't have time to wait don't come. It's busy and the staff are doing the best they can to help as many and as quick as possible. The person who helped me and my dad was JP. She's the manager of the store. JP is amazing and there's a reason why she's the manager. She was super patient and friendly to everyone who walked in. She greeted everyone even though it was so busy with a friendly smile. So profession and understandable. This girl does not get paid enough to deal with sooo many people complaining. What's the point of making an appointment days in advance, just to have to stay in line (outside) together with all the other walk-ins? After waiting in line outside for 15+ mins, the reason I was there (to pick up equipment) was a breeze. Inside the store, limited capacity and 6ft SD is enforced. However, all the customers waiting outside blocking the other business' entrances is another story. Haha. I sound like such a "Karen!"
