We shopped and found a few items and waited for a long while to get the attention of the lady behind the counter. She was on the phone, then doing something else, and never looked up to even say "I'll be right with you!" When we finally had her attention, she wrote down a few things and said "I'll send a quote in a few days." A few days? It's tile! Couldn't this be done the same day, or on the spot like at all the other tile retailers? It took them 4 days to email the response. When we came back to drop off the tiles, there was a different sales person, but with the same attitude. We waited and waited, and then finally just returned the samples to the big table. They couldn't be bothered with us. What a shame. Tile is tile. You can get the same tile at a big box store, a boutique retailer, or a strip mall. But customer service is not something to skip in this type of business. Shame on the management for not encouraging their employees to provide better service. It's not that difficult, really.

Here are a few things that set them apart from other contractors I interviewed: 1) responsive but not pushy. Some stone fabricators in San diego are incredibly pushy. 2) professional- in communication and in the way they do their operations. 3) high tech machinery and a clean cutting room. They let me see the cut template before cutting. 4) high attention to detail. 5) a proper itemized contract. Some contractors would just send me a text message with rates. That's not the way I want to do business, especially when thousands of dollars are being exchanged. The way they did quotes and contracts is what made me pull the trigger. They were mid point on price but for the service and quality you got, i felt it was a great value. I also love giving my money to a nice, hard working family. Thanks Sam, we will definitely use you again and recommend all our friends and family! But beyond the great craftsmanship every worker was on time, stayed late, was courteous, and cleaned up after themselves. They also replaced our toilets and when rotten wood was found underneath one they literally had a worker at my house at 8am the next day who worked all day to fix the entire rotten area and retile. They are now my go to company. Highly recommend.

They really spend time going through our home and understanding our concern areas. They take their time working on the hard spots and even use fans to dry out the carpets as quick as possible. Parts of the carpet were dry by the time the left. They even moved furniture out of the way to get areas we wanted to clean that were exposed before. They spent over four hours in our home compared to the usual three we got with others and they took care that they are not causing any damage to our walls/floor. Just take a look at the pics below. You pay a tiny bit more for this great service, but it is well worth it, and I would highly recommend!
