I got exactly what I was looking for and was out of the store in less than 5 minutes. This was SO appreciated after visiting so many places. I even got local bee pollen at the register. I'm so glad I came to this Ace and will definitely be back!

He's courteous, knowledgeable and fast. However he wasn't at the key counter today. There was a young girl, she took my key and said okay. She had my key for 5 minutes, then another young guy walks up behind her and tells her something in her ear, she hands me the key and says, "we don't do keys that say China on them." I left the store and called Bauman's Ace Hardware, asking them, when the gentleman that cuts keys will be there. She said you can come back he's here. If he was there why didn't you ask him? Bauman's has been a staple in our community for a long time and now have young people working, that work extra hard not to work. I don't get it. Anyway sorry to say that I will be taking my business elsewhere. Here's what it says, when I asked if Bauman's Ace Hardware cuts keys that say China on them. SMH

What a great selection I found. Not just the part I wanted, but so much more. I went back yesterday hoping to find a stem extension that I could not find anywhere on the internet. I approached a clerk and asked, and he took me right to it. I explained that the replacement kit I purchased on line did not fit quite the same as the one I am replacing. He told me of its compatibility with another more "readily available" line of faucets. He seemed to know a lot about plumbing. It turns out he is the owner. He and everyone I have dealt with there are very approachable, helpful, and knowledgeable. This is now my go to store for all my DIY projects. Their selection is remarkable and the staff just seem to enjoy their job. It is 20 miles from home, but it is exactly what needs to be. In a time of online ordering and tracking numbers, it is great to go to a place with fair prices, great selection, and impeccable service!!

I walked in through the garage door because of the sign outside, didn't see anybody and I saw the side door inside opened it and asked Dale if he could help me in the garage or inside the office. He said "in here, this is my office" in a rude way as if I should have known. I brushed it off and asked for a screen, I told him I needed it a little smaller, right away he cut me off and he said "I don't know what a little smaller means show me" and he put a measuring tape on the table. I once again brushed it off because I needed the screen. I told him 1/8 inch shorter length and width. And that was that. Dale's job is customer service and if he can't adjust his rude sarcastic attitude he shouldn't be doing it. Luckily the man who helped me when I picked up was nice because I was ready to tell Dale what I thought of his customer service when I picked up.

Now the bad news this last go around I spent $ 1,200.00 on some major repairs on one of my homes. They are big on just buy this or that bring it back if you don't need it. Anyways I had 3-4 things to bring back. Turned into a big hassle and I had purchased them over a week while I was up there. They gave me cash on two smaller items. Would not give me back on two items cash said the register will only process them as gift cards " what the heck " I have major brain surgery during which I had a stroke. I over the years Lost more cards than I have used. They could not explain it to me on common sense level only that once the register does that they can't reverse it. I was not happy I mean we are talking about $ 76.00. They said they would go get the manager and of course the manager was busy. They need to tell people oh just bring it back for a refund oh by the way it might be in the form of a gift card which when the person loses it to bad. I am stopping down the hill the next week at Home Depot first such a shame I can't buy and support crestline businesses. The tab probably will be around $ 500.00 this next time. Shame shame shame :(
