They have a very friendly staff and are willing to assist you with all of your concerns. Along with a close neighborhood vibe.

I first went there because my internet search for a faucet stem said they were the only ones within 50 miles that had it in stock. A very nice store clerk steered me in the right direction. What a great selection I found. Not just the part I wanted, but so much more. I went back yesterday hoping to find a stem extension that I could not find anywhere on the internet. I approached a clerk and asked, and he took me right to it. I explained that the replacement kit I purchased on line did not fit quite the same as the one I am replacing. He told me of its compatibility with another more "readily available" line of faucets. He seemed to know a lot about plumbing. It turns out he is the owner. He and everyone I have dealt with there are very approachable, helpful, and knowledgeable. This is now my go to store for all my DIY projects. Their selection is remarkable and the staff just seem to enjoy their job. It is 20 miles from home, but it is exactly what needs to be. In a time of online ordering and tracking numbers, it is great to go to a place with fair prices, great selection, and impeccable service!! read more

I'll admit that I don't understand exactly how this little hardware store is both Ace and K & L. It has a big box name with a mom and pop feel. Employees don't feel "corporately trained"... in a good way. Surprising how much they fit into a relatively small space! I took a lot of pics for reference or I'd be here all day describing the variety. Favorite unique offerings include: - Bins of loose nails and screws that are so visually satisfying to look at! - Ability to make new car keys. - Old timey lanterns with oil and everything next to jam jars and such for canning. - Local sketch art on the walls as decor. - A vintage (in a not-on-purpose way) 7Up vending machine. read more

The employees are as very helpful in finding whatever I need, whether it is a certain screw, bolt paint, and even stuff for my smoker.

Now this is the kind of service I love! They have a service desk where you can walk up and someone is waiting there to help you. I showed them a picture of the issue I had and they were able to walk me to the aisle and help me pick out the part and even showed me what tools to use. This is absolutely amazing service! I will no longer ever go to Home Depot. This will be my new place to stop for all my household needs. They also have my favorite candy bar homestyle pecan bar. It's so good! It melts in your mouth. You have gotta try it. read more

K & L Hardware - Hardware Stores Near Me - San Bernardino, California

Though this is a small store they have a good selection of products. They have pickup ordering. But it's confusing. On the website it tells you to go to customer service at the back of the store. Then they walk you back to the front of the store to get your item. Then you have to wait in line to sign for the already paid item. It shouldn't take that much time. Other than that the customer service is good returns are easy, if necessary. The prices seem to be in line with other hardware stores. read more

K and L hardware is a small shop but it's also an Ace Hardware distributor. They sale a bunch of Ace Hardware stuff here. It's a small mom and pop shop with super friendly employees. The store is well maintained and a lot of great prices. The only bad thing is that they close at 5pm. Other than that no complaints. read more

This place on baseline is filled with friendly employees that are willing to help you. I can order items on line and they have them ready for pick up. A lot of choices and the prices are right on. read more

They made an ignition key for my Ford F150. Very good price and friendly, professional service.

Best hardware store in town very friendly and kind I will drive the extra miles than the local hardware store that is closest to my home I give it 5 stars. read more

Nice small mom and pop hardware store, very knowledgeable feels like family works there, friendly helpful staff

Extremely helpful employees here, patient and willing to go the extra mile to make sure you have what is needed for your project.

I knew when I went in the store that I needed help setting the code on the garage door opener I was going to buy. As the cashier was ringing it up I asked if I could pay extra and get them to set it for me. She said we'll set it for you but we won't change anything for that. She asked someone to take care of it and I was out of there in just a few minutes. I really appreciated their help. I'll be back! read more

Great and helpful staff. Always welcome me in and always tell me they're available to help. I grab two 40lbs bags of water softener salt every month here. read more

I was in need of a specialty bolt for my washing machine pulley and decided to try K&L Hardware. I showed the sales associate my damaged bolt and she took me right to it in less than a minute. I was impressed with the service and competitive cost. I spent less than $2 for a bolt that would cost $10+ from the appliance store. read more

We went on and afternoon because we were changing the handles on a faucet. One of the workers(a young Latino looking man) asked us if we needed help. He immediately pointed us in the right direction and went with us to explain the parts we were looking for. He was very patient with my elderly father in law and when we got in line it went really quick. They had parts that Home Depot didn't carry so if you go there and they don't have something they might have it here. I highly recommend this place. read more

We broke a tow strap on our way to Orange County and stopped at K&L Hardware. Want to talk about gouging the consumer. Charged 4 times the amount normally charged. Ridiculously expensive. Steer clear of this place. read more

We have shopped at Home Depot for years ( seems like lately they never have what we need and we have to order online ) But when our air conditioner went out and we needed a disconnect box and fuses ( we couldn't wait to order online ). Well Home Depot didn't have either. And if you live in SB you know it's been in the 100s. So I rushed to call around to see who had what we needed. And I called K&L. I spoke to a gentleman named Brian. I explained to him what happened and I was going to send my husband there to speak with him after Brian told me he had our parts. BRIAN BRIAN BRIAN YOU DA MAN. My husband got home and told me how helpful, informative and knowledgeable you were. My husband had our central air back on in about 30 min. Thank you so much Brian and K&L you guys rock!!! read more

Can't say enough about this place. First time here and it won't be the last. This is a blast to the past when it comes to customer service. Friendly, fast and efficient. They have everything in stock! Definitely come to this place read more

Helpful staff when I walked in, popular place. Many locals come here and noticed they do window screen replacements; which is good to know.

The staff and Mr Loren were very helpful!! I came in looking for a peizo for a reliance water heater, which all other suppliers were out of. They had one and I was on my way. read more

I've said it before & I'll say it again: this place is fantastic! I knew I shouldn't have bothered but I practically live right next door to a local big box store so I gambled that I could save the longer drive. I ended up losing that bet because I wasted over 40 minutes trying unsuccessfully to find the screw that I needed. The short of it is, I ended up at K&L and they located it within 30 seconds of my showing them the one I brought to match so even counting the drive, they were faster AND I walked out with what I needed. read more

I highly recommend coming here. Great customer service, knowledgeable staff, and lots of items in stock! Also, they're a local small business and I'm all about supporting those and you should too! read more

Can't recommend enough! Sales staff is friendly and very nice. Brian Harris is extremely knowledgeable and goes out of his way to help with any problem. He has saved me a ton of money on avoiding calling in service techs to fix my A/C unit on two separate occasions. Got me what I needed and walked me through step by step to install/replace parts. Cheaper than dealer on key fobs and cheaper than repair companies on parts. Even cheaper than Amazon was on the A/C parts. Without his help would been out a couple thousand bucks easily. Can't thank him enough. Not to mention this place has just about anything you can possibly need and if they don't they will get it. Thanks again so much. read more

K & L Hardware stands out as a gem among all the big, impersonal warehouse hardware stores (i.e. Home Depot and Lowe's) that exist in the area. Located on the border of Highland and San Bernardino, its been, pardon the pun, a fixture of the area for 30 years now. You can find almost anything and everything you may want or need here for home projects, building, repair and gardening. The place itself is nowhere NEAR the size of the larger places. Its pretty modest. But that means that everything is easy to find! No looooooong hallways of this and that to get lost in while all yer looking for is a wrench or something. Their selection of items is very decent for a building of its size - and the variety is excellent too. What also stands out are their employees. They are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. This place harkens back to the friendly old town hardware stores of yesteryear. They even have fairly good lumber selection in the back. Their prices are also quite fair. My only small complaint is that they don't have a large enough Flower/Garden section. They have a nice selection of garden tools and the like - but what I mean are plants and flowers. Then again, the size of the place is a bit limiting to such things. Still - if you live in or are in the area - give em a try. They are an ACE hardware store affiliate, and keeping quality local businesses alive and thriving is something I strongly believe in. read more

VERY kind and helpful staff! I looked all over for a part for my water heater today... Finally found these guys and although they didnt have the matching part, they found me one that works just the same! THANKS K & L, I now have hot water =) read more

I am so glad these folks haven't been squeezed out by big guys. It is pricier than Home Depot, but you are paying for true knowledge about what they sell. They know what they are doing and have great advice so you walk out knowing what you are doing too--and you are in and out in a flash, Time is money. Only one time did they not have what I wanted, and it turns out I didn't really need it. Instead of a new valve they sold me a washer and told me how to fix it. That more than paid for extra money spent on other visits. read more

Knowledgeable and friendly staff they helped me fix my leaking shutoff valve and I couldn't be happier. AWESOME STORE

Wow let me tell you about my experience excellent service I called for a part and they had it in stock the gentleman on the phone was extremely helpful on the phone so I went to pick it up and was greeted at the door as well went to service desk for my part and everything was excellent and gave my advice on how to install the part and extremely knowledgeable 10/10 read more

This is a small neighborhood hardware store. It has lots of stuff jammed into a small space. For most of my repair jobs they have the items. The help is what makes this place worth the few extra cents. I went in yesterday needing 4 bolts with nuts. Annette measured the screw that I had brought in as an example and got me the size bolts and nuts that I needed. You might pay a little more, but you can get assistance and you can get in and out in a minute. read more

These guys are extremely knowledgeable on every item they sell . I am a 10 year plumber and I constantly get schooled by these guys . They sell you the parts and also knowledgeable on how to uninstall and reinstall the part . Highly recommend read more

After trying the big commercial stores like Home Depot and Lowe's I look this place up. I saw all the reviews and they were all good so I decided to give it a try. This story is awesome!! It had everything I needed and the people were so very helpful unlike the big commercial stores. My New favorite store. I don't think I will be looking for anything anywhere else other than that store. Highly recommend this place to anyone! read more

=) Makes me happy to see smaller stores doing so well and doing business so right! The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable, and really make that extra effort to make you feel confident in the purchases you make towards your projects. I bought a beat-up house about four years ago and I cant even count how many great pieces of advice the staff have offered me, which has saved me a lot of frustration and money. The service alone has me sold on this store, but to top it off, for being a small business the prices are very competitive. I don't know what I am going to do the day I move away from the area .;D read more

I have visited this store a handful of times and everytime it's such a pleasant experience. From the very competitive prices (for being a smaller store) to the extremely helpful and very nice staff. I came in today(05/20/2018) for a few items to finish some maintenance around the house and a staff member asks if I needed help, which I did, He pointed me in the right direction and even brought me one of the items I needed. That goes a long way when You have bad knees and have to use a cane to get walk around, so I appreciate the extra help. I love to support the smaller stores so definitely will be back again for any hardware needs. Kudos to the staff for providing excellent customer service. read more

I drove near the San Bernardino Metrolink station to K and L. Went looking for hinges and latch for a wooden fence that needed to be attached to my metal pole. Customer service is on point. Has a lot of items that can be found. Thanks read more

We have lived in this area for a decade or 2 and I found K&L are the people who are in the know. Before I retired I worked with in walking distance from the 2 big guys in Redlands so naturally it was easier to pop in, grab what ever and be on my way home. But it didn't take me long before I realized that it didn't take long to realize that if I needed some one with knowledgeable answers, K& L were the people to talk to. read more

I went in here to upgrade the shut off valves and hoses for a bathroom sink. The valve I brought in for the hot water had about 30 years of corrosion on it, and the nut had disintegrated when I removed it from the countertop. I seriously thought I would need to replace it. Norm, the manager, asked if there was anything wrong with it other than the corrosion on the threads. It was fine other than that. Norm cleaned it up, and got all of the remaining metal that corroded onto the threads off!! He worked on it for about 10-15 minutes and it looked like new! Not only did he save me money, but he took the time to make sure that it would work for me. Think you'd get that at Home Depot?? Doubt it!! Thanks, Norm!! Awesome customer service!! A+ read more
