I bought an EXTREME DUTY 12x20' TARP. $49.99 It lasted 3 months. A waste of money & time. When the wind blew it shredded into a zillion pieces - some large enough to pick up but mostly fragments, threads and microscopic specs all over my property. It disintegrated. I will never, ever be able to get them cleaned up. I collected what I could and went to the store with my receipt. The manager denied a refund because it was 7 days past the 90 day refund span. He said I could contact corporate, and I will, but I'm also gonna tell everyone who listens what a cheap, crappy product their EXTREME DUTY TARP is. More like I could have gotten better wear out of a plastic painters tarp. And...what a bad attitude he had. Awesome place to get tools and project supplies. Very friendly and welcoming staff. A variety of tools from small screw drivers to big machines. Very competitive prices I got a lot of awesome finds here that were half the price than home depot. Great set-up easy to navigate. They always have coupons and great deals. I'm not gonna lie, we shop here frequently. They usually have what I need and the employees are usually helpful. Of course they have our phone number in their system. But today we were in line and listened to the 4 people in front of us recite their phone number immediately followed by the cashier saying "Hello Mr. First Last Name". Now whoever is around knows your complete name and phone number should they care to make note of it. Personal information has great value to con artists these days. I am paranoid. It didn't help that the cashier got attitude when we declined to announce our phone number and paid with cash. Makes me think he has someone on the sidelines collecting information. I was in the area and visited Harbor Freight for the first time. I'm sure everyone has seen their ads in the paper. All that has made me curious. Upon entering, I was greeted by folks working there; that was unexpected for a shop like this. Walking from aisle to aisle, I noticed tons of hardware supplies. They have lower quality tools for folks who just want to do a few projects and don't want to spend a boatload of money on fancy tools. Harbor Freight would be the perfect place to go. I also found tons of handy supplies, from gloves, tarps, ropes, cheaper hand tools, clamps, all sorts of stuff. I needed some pneumatic nails and couldn't find them. An associate passed by, so I asked him for help. He was right on it and got some from the back for me. Now, that's nice service. Check-out was quick and all done with a smile. I found the whole experience to be much much better than the Home Depot that I sometimes go to! read more

Amazing! Daughter and I went down today to get a Predator 4375 generator on sale for $339.00 (original $399.99). Got to the checkout counter and the salesperson, Katherine, signed us up for an Inside Track membership that saved us an additional $21.00. My point is, she didn't have to sign us up or even let us know about it, but she did. We have been coming to this particular branch for a while now since not only is parking ample and spacious enough but, most importantly, the sales personnel are not only very helpful and knowledgeable, they are very polite and friendly, as well. What can I say, it's Harbor Freight. If your a professional and are using your tools to make a living this is probably not the place for you. If your like me and can't find that wrench you bought 6 months ago then you'll love this place. They have a wide variety of tools at a reasonable price. Sometimes at really low prices. So I go here to get that wrench that I'll only use once because when I need it again I won't be able to find it. And the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the store and product. Tell them what you need and they know where it's at. Try to find that at those big stores. And last weekend I got a bunch of free batteries and a magnetic plate to hold my nuts and bolts. I never know when I'll need that. read more

I'm an avid shopper at this specific location and last week I had an unwelcome experience and quite frankly I'll be taking my business to a different retailer. An employee named Katherine was very rude and condescending when I walked In with an item I needed to be replaced. She gave me no chance to ask a question before she interrupted me and demanded I empty 100% of the gas inside the generator. It was her tone and her offensive manner in which she said it! I complied, and when I returned inside she said she can still "smell the gas" and that I need to continue to clean it out. Which that was out of the question, the smell was going to stay there. Once again I carried the generator INSIDE the store and back out, I could have possibly slipped and fell with me carrying that generator, and I don't think that's good business at all. I did the best I could but she was still negligent to replace my goods, and she had to get a second opinion 3 times! Finally, the other employee agreed it was ok. Katherine proceeded to handle my transaction, and she asked if I wanted a refund or to replace it, by then I just wanted my money back, she was condensing and rude in the manner she told me she would charge me 20% as oppose to offering a solution such as keeping my business. I took a loss of 20% from this ordeal but I wasn't going to spend my money at this store I will continue to boycott this place until I feel customer service is first priority. Attitude goes along way and she was extremely rude and she should be reprimanded. read more

I went to this store today because I just needed one item and thought it would be around the same price as Home Depot on 21st St and Highland(check my recent experience in this store). After hunting around the store and having no luck finding the Flex Seal, I saw a young (20 somthing) female (caucasion) walking in the back of the store. I tried to make eye contact with her but she looked down at the ground. I said 'excuse me' a few times before I got her attention. I then asked her if she worked here and she said yes but did not offer to help. So I then asked for her help and she led me right to the product, which, by the way, was a generic version and about $2.00 more than Home Depot. I am really starting to wonder why there is so much horrible customer service everywhere I shop in my neighborhood. Upon further introspection, the lousy customer service is usually given by young caucasian females and a few Mexican American young females. read more

Harbor Freight took a giant leap forward with customer service today. I went in to purchase a stand for my mitre saw. I gave the cashier a discount coupon which she gladly accepted. Then she got out her calculator .... After a minute or so, she said, I am going to give you an additional $30 off. Felecia said that by joining the Inside Track Club, I would save both the membership fee plus additional savings on the stand. You don't get this kind of customer service at Home Depot, Lowes or Amazon. Felecia was friendly and provided customer service that you can't get anywhere else. She has made me a Harbor Freight fan for life - promote her to manager now! read more

Fridays - Sundays usually has great deals in regards to, buy something and get something for free. Customer service by the employees were great. Manager Stacy on the other hand wasnt so welcoming. Asked the cashier who helped with my checkout a simple question and she rudely interrupted with a, im the manager and I talk how ever I want attitude vibe. Whoa calm down Stacy, it was just a question, usually I'm not a person that feels uncomfortable very easily, I felt uncomfortable. Not just with me, the gentleman that was before me as well got treated with the same energy coming from the same manager. How many other customers felt this vibe before me? Who knows. When in doubt as the store manager right?? Nope definitely not at this location.. RUDE! Came to this location to pick up something for my dad, mind you i don't know the first thing about tools but hey I had a screenshot and figured it wouldn't be to difficult to ask for a little help. So as I walk into a pretty dead store.. 4 customers at most, I try hunting down the item I was looking for but ultimately gave up after a couple minutes and figured it'd be a lot easier to just get guided in the right direction. As I walk up to the counter there's a man ringing up guest(he was pretty nice btw), so instead I wait to ask someone else. Soon after this employee walks up so I approached her and couldn't even get past "excise me" before she cut me off mouthing "one sec" and she gave me the finger so whatever I guess I'm waiting again. She walks up to the guy on register and proceeds to walk off so I stop her again and proceed to show her the picture and she tries to shut me up once again!!! She very agitatedly points and says she thinks it's probably there as she points to an aisle at the back of the store??! Wow store manager and she "thinks it probably there"!! You know usually I'd brush it off, maybe it's a bad day, or super busy but when there's literally so little guest would it kill you to maybe make a customer connection??!? I was super disappointed in this locations service. I've walked into various locations and never have I had such a bad experience. read more
