A very nice store clerk steered me in the right direction. What a great selection I found. Not just the part I wanted, but so much more. I went back yesterday hoping to find a stem extension that I could not find anywhere on the internet. I approached a clerk and asked, and he took me right to it. I explained that the replacement kit I purchased on line did not fit quite the same as the one I am replacing. He told me of its compatibility with another more "readily available" line of faucets. He seemed to know a lot about plumbing. It turns out he is the owner. He and everyone I have dealt with there are very approachable, helpful, and knowledgeable. This is now my go to store for all my DIY projects. Their selection is remarkable and the staff just seem to enjoy their job. It is 20 miles from home, but it is exactly what needs to be. In a time of online ordering and tracking numbers, it is great to go to a place with fair prices, great selection, and impeccable service!!

Employees don't feel "corporately trained"... in a good way. Surprising how much they fit into a relatively small space! I took a lot of pics for reference or I'd be here all day describing the variety. Favorite unique offerings include: - Bins of loose nails and screws that are so visually satisfying to look at! - Ability to make new car keys. - Old timey lanterns with oil and everything next to jam jars and such for canning. - Local sketch art on the walls as decor. - A vintage (in a not-on-purpose way) 7Up vending machine.

In the few instances when a certain item is out of stock, it's usually available on my next visit. (I'm up here every couple of weeks.) I've always found the post's personnel pleasant and competent, quickly directing me to the aisle of an item I can't locate (if not actually personally walking me over to its whereabouts). Additionally, in some cases, they will also let me know if they are running low on an item that I may be needing more than one of since the current inventory is limited to what's out on the shelf. This was the case with some fly traps I came in for on my most recent visit. (I guess flies are a problem in the general area at present). Prices are competitive and I can often find multiple choices at different price points. The only thing in recent memory that I couldn't find there was an Adventure Pass for parking along the forest's roadsides or trailheads - but several of the other local businesses that used to carry them also no longer do, as well. Don't neglect visiting here first if in need of a certain piece of hardware. The store is not as big as the major chains by any means, but there's a good chance you'll find what you need without going down the mountain. That's a good thing to be aware of - especially when dealing with an emergency repair!

It was the maker of the fridge Frigidaire, who was horrible by the way. But let me tell you Dominica Hector and Beto all pulled through as a team to get it taken care of. Dominica you were amazing not just at all the Home Depot portion, but just as a customer service person in general I was having it hard you seen that you even gave me a little hug which meant the world to me in that moment it has been a rough time, but you made it easy today thank you

When I walked in I was greeted instantly my customer service where I did my return. The return was easy and quick. I was greeted a second time when walking the aisles looking for the item I needed. It would be so nice if all the Home Depot's had the same basic layout so it took a little while to find the bolts. Check out was quick, there was no line and I did self checkout. The girls working self checkout were very friendly and also greeting customers as they entered the store. I always appreciate great customer service. Hopefully these bolts fit!

Our company is outfitting technicians with toolboxes that include approximately $3,000 worth of tools per set. This is our first time doing so, and I was hoping for some guidance from the Fontana team. Upon arriving at the store, I met a very helpful floor associate who began pointing me in the right direction. Given the size of the order, I asked whether I could leave my list of items and have someone follow up with me in the next few days. I assumed that a $3,000 purchase--and the likelihood of future orders of similar size--might be of interest to the store. Unfortunately, a female employee interjected abruptly and stated, "We don't do that," followed by, "We do not do your personal shopping." While I understand store policies, the delivery lacked empathy or acknowledgment of how labor intensive it would be for one person to locate roughly 50 items on their own. Because of this interaction, I decided to take both my current business and future purchases elsewhere.

So, for months now I have been waiting for a new popular tool (like everyone else) to be back in stock at my local HF stores. Since there was a big discount for a brand name tool and me being an ITC member I wanted to grab one while the ITC pre-sale was on before going to the regular customers next week. So, I called my store in Chino Hills, then Chino, Montclair and finally La Puente trying to see if they had one in stock. None of them did but La Puente said Fontana had 3 pieces in store. So I called the store to verify they had one and the employee that picked up the phone confirmed they had at least one on hand. I asked if he could put my name on it and I will make the 31 mile trip one way in traffic to pick it up. He told me it is first come first serve and will not put my name on it. I asked to talk to a manger and he mentioned the answer will be the same. I waited 5 minutes and called back hoping to get someone else and the same person picked up the phone. I could not talk him into it. I told him I am not going to drive 31 miles in traffic one way to find out it was sold before I got there. The employee was not rude but did not seem to care if I came in or not. Over the years I have not had another local HF have an issue holding a tool so I can come and pick it up. So, I ended up and called HF corporation in Calabasas to voice my frustration. The customer service agent was not sure why they would not hold it for me but mentioned she could not call the store to ask them to put it to the side. So about 30 minutes have passed since my second call to the Fontana store and I decided to call one last time. This time a different employee picked up the phone and was more than happy to get me the store manager. I explained to Rudy what I was trying to do and he ended up and personally went and got ahold of the tool and put it to the side for me. 1.5 hours later in traffic and I was there picking up the tool. I want Rudy to know that I really appreciate him helping out where the other employee would not. For that reason, I am giving this store four stars. If I did not have an issue from the start this would have been a five star review. For the store it should have been no big deal to put it on the side with my name on it since I would have left right away. Even if it was for a hold time of 2 hours. For me it was a 2 hour and 45 minute round trip so I really should not have had to deal with the issue the first two times I called in. If this is a company wide policy not to hold a tool for a customer then it needs to be enforced across the whole chain of stores. If this is only with the Fontana store you might want to reconsider for future customers. Thanks again Rudy!
