I usually like going to Ace hardware stores, everybody is usually super helpful. I decided to go to the ace in Moreno Valley to get a new window screen for my house and Dale was rude. I walked in through the garage door because of the sign outside, didn't see anybody and I saw the side door inside opened it and asked Dale if he could help me in the garage or inside the office. He said "in here, this is my office" in a rude way as if I should have known. I brushed it off and asked for a screen, I told him I needed it a little smaller, right away he cut me off and he said "I don't know what a little smaller means show me" and he put a measuring tape on the table. I once again brushed it off because I needed the screen. I told him 1/8 inch shorter length and width. And that was that. Dale's job is customer service and if he can't adjust his rude sarcastic attitude he shouldn't be doing it. Luckily the man who helped me when I picked up was nice because I was ready to tell Dale what I thought of his customer service when I picked up. read more

Sunnymead Ace Hardware - Sign mentioned - Hardware Stores Near Me - Moreno Valley, California

As soon as I walked in, I was asked if I needed help, led to and was handed exactly what I needed, paid and left! This is the 4th store today (Baumann's in Riverside, ACE in Rubidoux and Home Depot MoVal) and the first that had a person knowledgable and available! I'll be a loyal customer moving forward! read more

I had to redo my restroom and bought a vanity that was missing screws. I went to Home Depot and no one was available to help me. I decided that after 10 minutes I'd go to Ace. Once I showed upa gentleman came up to me and greeted me. I explain my situation and showed him the directions. He went to 6 different drawers and matched the parts I needed. He was attentive and friendly. Best experience I've had. read more

forget home depot and lowes, no one is there to help you or has any knowledge of basic trades. ace hardware has sales people who know the trades, great inventory and items you won't find elsewhere plus their pricing is way better than the big boxes and you can get in and out in minutes without a hassle. i love this store! read more

Ace has went downhill I come here for all my hardware needs it is a little more expensive, but they usually have what I need and most of the staff is pretty knowledgeable but this last year the staff has changed drastically. The people that are working there don't seem to know what the products are so now I have to shop at Lowe's or Home Depot, which I would rather support the small business man. read more

I gave them three stars because this place is a hit and miss sometimes sometimes you can go and get very good service and the staff working are very helpful but other times you go they can be extremely unhelpful or no one really available for questions. They typically have what I need at the store when it's not available at places like Home Depot so they have a pretty decent selection. The value of the items are pretty standard price or it can be expensive because they have items that you really can't find it at the major stores. overall, it's not a horrible place to shop, but it wouldn't be my first pick read more

I LOVE this place. No matter what I need they seem to have it and they'll walk you right over to it. They know their stuff and are always willing to discuss it with you. I had a small project that turned into a major ordeal and I was given some amazing info that turned it back into a small simple project. The only downside is their hours. If it's an urgent after hours I'll go to Lowe's or Home Depot. Otherwise I'll wait for Ace to open the next day. read more

Trash! Home Depot or Lowe's are way better. The only reason you should shop here is if they're the only ones who have what you need or it's the cheapest option, but make sure you absolutely will keep it because everything seems to be final sale. Even if not stated. Also subpar customer service. read more

The staff here are very helpful with a hometown community hardware store experience. Very convenient to stop by with a solid selection of products. Also much faster than dealing with a big box store. They also had a full service glass shop, keys made, and paint. Worth the visit ...Ace always comes through! read more

Very well staffed. All my encounters have been very good. I love the customer service. This store is Old School stocked with more varieties than can be described. read more

If I could give this place negative star I would. I went there looking for double stick staple and a stud finder. Walked in saw a guy behind the counter with a black managers vest on and I said hi c... that's all I got out and he cut me off and held out his hand in a stop motion and said "I'm here but I'm not here". I'm a grown man just say " im busy but let me get someone to hep you". Im here but not here while you are behind the counter with a vest on is straight disrespectful! I ended up walking around for 25 min looking at the 20 minute mark Mr. Im here but not here told another employee "he needs help" I'm like screw you I'll find it. I live right by a Home Depot but I go to Ace cause I can usually get great help and advice ow I need to re think that. If I'm going to get treated like that I may as well go to HD. read more

Been here more than a few times. Like how they mostly have a greeter by the entrance to walk you to the products. Reminds me of the good days of actual customer service. Probably a nice place to work. Idk read more

I came in to see if they had the old fashioned Christmas lights, replacement bulbs. The people were so nice, friendly, and helpful. Not only did the wonderful lady show me exactly where they were, but when I cleared the rack, she asked if I wanted her to check if they had anymore. I did, she did, and they did. Now I am good to go, to replace all my faded and burnt out bulbs for Christmas. I really love the older type of Hardware stores. They are awesome! read more

Sunnymead Ace Hardware - I am going Old School!! - Hardware Stores Near Me - Moreno Valley, California

Ace is the place! Unlike other hardware stores, Dale's Sunnymead Ace still has knowledgeable staff to help you get your projects done right. The most friendly staff we've ever encountered. We're probably here once a week. read more

The staff were great! A man asked if i needed help, i did, he assisted me. I went to check out and the lady who checked me - out older lady - very nice! small but felt good. Great customer service! Thank You Staff at Ace. read more

Everything is more expensive here compared to your local home depot store pretty much double the price. Also I had some keys done by Jason and he acted like I was going to steal them and followed me all the way to the cashier. If you don't want me to steal them take them for me you are already walking up there by following me. It's feels like big brother is watching when you walk in to the store. Good luck read more

My ac broke down , watched you tube, looks like needs capacitor replacement. Not sure what size, old one corroded, can't read anything. Went to Home Depot , showed them the ac model year, this girl said, just google it. Not willing to help at all. Went to Ace Hardware, this guy said show me the model year, because the old part is corroded. Went to his computer, came back and said he was able to get right part number and they have it on stock. He said not 100% sure, but that is what the computer says. I bought it anyway because I live 20 miles away.. it was the right part, This guy saved my day don't know his name , hope he reads this review because my house was 100 degrees when I got home. Now back to cold, safe temperature. Thanks you Ace hardware for having people in your store like this guy. He helped me with a smile. No rush at all...thanks again. read more

Great customer service by John. Disappointing that owner does not honor military veterans with a discount. read more

They have terrible communication skills, they act as if they don't want to be at work. The girl who wears Alot of blush kept rushing around as if she didn't truly want to help me. She over complicated my question about "WHAT IS THE LONGEST SCREW THAT FOTS ON MY DRILL THAT DOESN'T REQUIRE EXTRA ACCESSORIES". I feel like me being black made her and her manager use less than a normal amount of people skills and human decency. As I said they have terrible communication, after I got my.itema they never said "so and so can help you" etc .... They all acted as if they wanted to turn me away because of race. And staging arguments instead of answering questions so that onlookers would assume the black girl is being unruly, instead of a worker with extreme rosy cheeks is intimidated and can't just slow down and do her job- without tryna beef with someone equally as pretty as her but black. Also, like I said about being checked out. Older Caucasian manager completely undermined me like I wasn't waiting on line for him to check me out. He stormed off after talking to a white girl. I'm tired of being a paying customer, and being painted as a villain. Like the whole store was creeping me out with how appropriate they thought their attitude was and their at work. The part that makes it even more unacceptable to me is that I actually have a head neck injury, and I told her I was kind of confused before she turned around and fast walk back to the register. But it's like even if I didn't have a head injury that's still very rude and inappropriate and she should clarify so that she doesn't have to run around like a chicken with her head cut off. Like there was just a complete unwillingness to just have a conversation and be patient read more

I walked in the store and was asked to bear with them do to a shortage of staff available to handle customers. Not even 10 seconds later a white guy walks in behind me and the guy at the register immediately ask the guy if he could help him and proceeded to do so. We need to do better as a people, it's 2022!! read more

I've been coming here for quite some time now for little odds and ends. They always have everything I'm looking for. They're always so friendly and helpful. I especially like the advice they give when I have questions. Sometimes, the boys here give an alternative idea to some of my hardware needs, like just a better way to do something. That is especially helpful when haven't exactly thought everything through. I recommend this place to anyone looking for hardware for any project. read more

Wonderful service from Dave! He and most of employees were very friendly and willing to help. Will definitely do my home improvement shopping there! read more

I went there on the morning of April 31 2023 looking for fittings for a new kitchen water faucet and the guy who I asked (not the owner) was inpatient and not understanding what I needed even though I had pictures and the old pieces to show him what I needed. I explained it over and over and could see anger and frustration in his face and then after a quick search he said I don't have anything sorry and walked away. Very poor customer service. read more

Sunnymead Ace Hardware - Hardware Stores Near Me - Moreno Valley, California

Love our local Ace Hardware! The personal service and quality of the service is great! Prices are definitely higher but never any lines so worth it! They always seem to have the odd little bits and pieces that a home owner is looking for. I always appreciate their helpfulness and knowledge. I miss the one we had by our house but happy to drive a bit further to the one on Sunnymead. read more

Helpful staff and support. Know where products are - no waste of time. Great service!

Home Depot when it works, you can't beat the prices. The problem is Home Depot often does not work and you can waste a huge amount of time there, the level of knowledge varies, and often at night there is no knowledgeable person there. So you get to wait. So your trip for a $3 part, takes an hour. Pretty expensive trip. Not to mention some of other problems that can occur with larger orders - I have learned a lot more about Home Depots systems than I should need to. The people are very friendly and try to help when you get help, but your time does have a cost. Ace Hardware you can get in and out within minutes with the right part. You are greeted at the door and asked what you need. Prices are not that much higher than Home Depot usually, but the time you save is huge. And for getting knowledgeable help, Ace can't be beat. There are also some specialty parts, that Home Depot just does not carry. I am helping out with maintenance on an apartment building, and Ace has saved me so much time and helped me out with so many emergencies from plumbing, to hardware, to window frames, tools, etc. The quality of their products is great, and their special order process is painless. read more

Nice, but I think the old guy is an asshole. I'd tell him but he one of those asshole that only have balls when he's behind the counter.

Almost everyone loves this hardware store once they visit it. Sunnymead Ace Hardware is double-listed in Yelp. Super friendly and helpful staff. They had exactly what I needed and helped me load my car. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Don't waste your valuable time at Lowes or Home Depot. In the time it takes you to park at either of those stores you can be in and out of Ace with everything you need. And the bonus is the friendly staff and affordable prices. Give it a try! You'll never go to Home Depot or Lowes again. read more

I looks like a hole in the wall until you start walking around inside. It's like Mary Poppins bag; it had just about everything in it. I'd say typical hardware store but it is a bit better. I usually am here for little things here and there so I don't pay attention to price compared to any competitors as it would be minimal anyway. However, the staff here are always amazing. Very eager to help, never in a hurry to get you out the door, and quite knowledgable (or will grab the guy/gal that is). read more
