I was contacted by the service manager to bring my car back in for a week of investigation. After questioning him about the new process that Riverside Mazda would use to find the problem, I was really disappointed that they were going to do the same exact thing that they had done last year. Why would I put myself through the same experience as last time when it didn't work the first time? If they had a new tactic to find and fix the problem then we would have been all in and given it a chance. To top it off, as you can see the owner reached out to me and asked that I call him. First off, the company has my cell phone number and email. He could have reached me directly any time. But I tried to call him, twice. I was told that he was busy in a meeting the first time and then out of the office next. I left my number both times and no call back after over two weeks. This faux show of trying to resolve this issue was just to try and look good on Yelp. If I could take more stairs away I would. This confirms my point and lowers my opinion of the company and Mazda. read more

I have previously given this dealership a 5 star review, and I still stand by it, their sales department was great and patient. HOWEVER, they forced me to pay for add-ons that I didn't want at all (that i had to negotiate the price of) and they haven't even given me a part of what I have already paid for and it has been 3.5 months since I got my car. I FINALLY was able to get my windows tinted after 3 months of owning my car (window tint was one of the add-ons) and despite being told I'd get a loaner car, I didn't get one OR a ride back home. I'm still waiting to hear back about the add on that I was forced to buy, but STILL haven't gotten. Their communication and customer service after they sell the car is BEYOND terrible. They give no importance to you after you purchase your car. If you buy your car here, never come back!! I should have listened to all of the negative reviews of this dealership before going in, honestly I feel like giving 1 star is a little too generous, however I don't have the option to give 0 stars. read more

I have not bought a new car for many years and hate car shopping. I remember the days of good cop bad cop, fake prices and all the rest. I thought those days were over and expected a driver oriented company like Mazda to be well driver oriented. I guess I was wrong. They advertised a price for a 2016 cx 5 which seemed to be a good deal. I knew there were many leftovers so I assumed this price was an attempt to unload leftovers. I called them about the car and was informed that yes this is the correct price; however, I could not get much information. Since I currently do not have a car, I arranged for someone to drive me the 45 minutes to get there. I made sure to call before I left and again did not get much information. After pushing for some real information, I was told that yes that is the price however they installed window tinting, mud flaps etc and the car was $3000 more than advertised. I guess the days of dishonest car companies is not over. I would rather walk and use UBER than buy a car from these people. read more

What a weird experience. My mother, husband and I went to look at cars today for my mom. When we get to the dealership the sales guy immediately comes to us (well of course it's his job, so whatever, just be expecting it if you aren't.) The guy seemed nice enough. Mom told him we wanted to look at the CX-5 and a certified used. He honored that request, which I thought was great. As we are going for a test drive he asked if she wanted to buy it today. She said she was honestly just starting to look at cars and the CX-5 was the very first car. So no we wouldn't be buying today. He said okay. Then, on the same test drive, asked if she would by the car if he gave her a great and un-unbeatable deal, she said no she was just starting to figure out what she wanted. So we get back to the dealership. She asked if she could get a price on the car, so she could have the information when she was making a final decision. He said sure and took us to his computer. Then he made us wait. He came back couldn't figure out how to get the internet on his computer. He leaves, we wait even longer. He comes back with his manager, who again tried to get us to buy the car on the spot. Again we told him no, that we just wanted the price of the car so we could look at everything later. They said sure, made us wait. He comes back, again trying to get us to buy the car and to sign up for their financing (I mean come on, hear the words that we are speaking). He leaves again, it's been like 20 minutes and they haven't even tried to give us a price. So mom gets up and tells us we are leaving, the guy was not in sight. We are in our own car about to leave and the sales guy chases us down in the car and tells us just to wait a moment because he is getting his manager again to get us a good price. Are you serious!? I was like dude, take a hint...we don't want to buy your car today. So I thought that was the end...I was totally wrong. We dove over to the Honda and Nissan dealership next to the Mazda dealer. Mom asks to look at a pathfinder and pilot. So the nice sales guy for Nissan shows us this awesome pathfinder. But of course, the pathfinder is mixed in with the Mazda cars. I was a bit nervous because I didn't want the Mazda sales guy to bother us. Of course...I look up and see the Mazda guy creeping his way over to us. Now what made everything worse (for him) was that, he didn't go to talk to my mom (you know the one in charge and calling the shots on what car she wants), no he goes to my husband, who, by the way, had absolutely no interest in any of this and was reading his e-reader. So I don't know what broke in this Mazda guys brain to make him think it was wise to try to talk to my husband about buying a car. Then the dudes manager walks up, and I said "can I help you?" And he looks at me, with what I can only assume was disgust, and says, in a very condescending tone "can you help me?". That pissed me off, and I asked him if he had come over here to talk to my mom, the guy said "no" and walked over to my husband to bother him. Hold up. These fools ignored me and my mother and went to the man of our group. Now I don't like playing this card often, but their behavior just screamed sexism. It was only after they couldn't get anything from my husband, who again didn't care, nor does he like sales people, so those fools were totally barking up the wrong tree, did they go to my mom. If that wasn't bad enough, the Nissan guy was in the middle of helping us when the Mazda people came over? I mean what the hell. If you Mazda people are reading this, do you honestly think this kind of unprofessional and sexist behavior is really going to help you sell cars?? Too bad for you because the Nissan dude saw what you did and took that as a lesson on how not to treat us. And now when mom does decide to get a car, guess who is getting the sale. For those of you reading this and want a Mazda, go to a different dealership. Especially if you are a woman, because I can promise these dudes at Riverside Mazda will not respect you. read more

It took us two days to get my car but i got the deal i wanted. We where helped out by Mr. Shack no pressure at all and very nice and he knew his mazda cars and history. The reason it took 2 days is because well we arrived around 4pm looked at cars, test drove, and searched for the exact car i was looking for and then the mazda website which is used to get approved for credit was having some technical difficulties. He called us when the site was back up but we decided to come back the next day because it was too late. We arrived again this morning and within an hour i drove away in my new mazda 3. I got the car i wanted with the great deal i wanted. If your looking to buy here ask for Shack he will surely take care of you. When my lease is over i will surely be back. PS. My car was totaled by a driver who was under the influence of something. Took my insurance 27 days to let me know it was totaled and I needed a new car. The car was ordered brand new and was 3 months old when I got hit head on. I sustained injury's to my neck and shoulder. Needless to say it was all a horrible experience. I went to look at the CX-50 because it seemed similar to the forester that I could no longer get because they're not even announcing them till July. First I went to Redlands Mazda and the service was down right horrible! I hate bad mouthing others but the sales guy didn't know half the questions I was asking. I tried to explain my situation and what I needed and he shut me down saying "everyone that comes for one of these cars pays the asking price" I felt very undervalued and left defeated. Is saw they had the same car in riverside. Stevie helped me out and he right away new I was in trouble and needed help. He is a family man and appreciates healthcare workers like myself. I felt like he really cared about getting me a good deal even in this market. I ended up paying way less than I would of at Redlands for a premium + model! I was so happy to do business with someone who understood me and valued my business. I will continue to go to riverside for anything I'll need and if anyone asks me opinions I'll send them right there! I'm a lead nurse Loma linda university childrens hospital ER! Took my Mazda CX-9 to dealer for a passenger window not working (would make a loud clicking noise when going up or down) Was told that it would cost $135.00 to diagnose the problem and depending on what the problem was it could be the window motor or the window regulator. motor cost $157.50 for the motor or $175.00 for the regulator could be either the motor or the regulator,or both. went online and viewed a couple videos on parts replacement and cost motor $39.00 regulator $25.00, and with the in-depth videos on u tube I figure I can do the job. My wife and I had a great experience at Riverside Mazda! They gave us the best price for our trade in and the best price on the used vehicle we bought. Prior to shopping for a vehicle we thoroughly researched the trade in value of our car and the values of the used car we wanted. We went to four other dealerships before we made the deal at Riverside Mazda. I know that most dealerships want to clear at least $4k from our trade in when they sell it and would like to make close to that if not more on used car they sell us. Carmax, for comparison, wants to clear minimum 7k to 10k on the vehicles they take in and there is no negotiation with them! Riverside Mazda was the first and only dealership to offer us a fair deal on our trade in and a fair deal on the used car we bought. I know they have to make their profit on the used vehicles they take it, but at least they are reasonable about it. We had to negotiate the deal naturally...it didn't exactly fall into our lap. The whole negotiation, however took only about 20 minutes. Kirk, the general sales manger was polite and did not waste our time trying to wear us down. Kirk included in the deal-at my request-making a second key for our newly purchased used vehicle...something other dealerships didn't want to "waste" their time on. Clem, our salesmen, though a greenhorn and new to the business, was quite knowledgeable, patient and efficient. Tony, another salesman, provided me with good information about the new, hot 250 horsepower Mazda 3. Chris Alvarez, the finance guy was transparent, friendly and did not try to wear us down either. Adrian, another sales manager, was quite helpful in arranging getting our second key made several days later. I am a rather jaded 63 year old man, but I gotta tell you this collective group at Riverside Mazda works very well together in meeting the customer's needs. Normally I'm not the type to leave a bad review so I'm going to do 2 separate reviews. I have been getting cars from this dealership for 6 years now. I keep coming back because of the service with the sales guys Jean pierre Cuba who was the last to help me get into my last Mazda3 was great. He wasn't pushy and made feel comfortable the entire time. Hes a great guy and i suggest asking for him next time you stop by. (Thats the good review) So after getting into my new Mazda i felt like i didn't get the best deal i was originally hoping for. So I decided to look into getting the car refinanced through arrowhead credit union. Working with the sales rep at arrowhead she suggested i cancel my gap and Mazda service contract to lower the payoff balance to make my payment more easily affordable. On 3/8/17 i went to Riverside Mazda and spoke with Nick who went over the contract and signed the paperwork with. After explaining what i wanted to do his tone and attitude completely changed. He kept referring to wait 90 days or 3 months for me to cancel the service contract and gap. Once i said that i wanted it canceled and had made up my mind he got very upset and told me that "after everything we've done for you your going to do us dirty like this". He then went into a cabinet grabbed the cancellation notice and slammed it onto his desk. I walked out of the office to cool down after he pretty much tried to bully and intimidate me. When i walked back in he then tells me " i hope Arrowhead doesn't try and sell their bullshit service contract to you". At this point I'm pissed i tell him whats your deal and why are you taking this soo personal?! He tells me because the dealership is going to lose tons of money, he's going to get reemed from his boss and I'm effecting his families livelihood. After being a return customer for 6 years and purchasing 4 Mazdas from this dealership i will never in my right mind do business with them again. I cant believe people like him are even aloud to work for a dealership like theirs. Normally i try not to take things like this personal and after explaining my situation with other people its the right thing to do and inform other people of that dealerships shady business practices. read more

My wife and I were just physically harassed by the sales manager at Riverside Mazda. First he tried the same bait and switch scheme mentioned by other reviewers here -- he lied to us about not having a deal offered on the front page of their website after another salesman had just presented the same deal to us in writing. Then we showed him the live ad on their own website, but he still refused to honor it. When we walked out upset, the sales manager chased after us, stood in front of our car to prevent us from leaving, and literally punched our side mirror when we got past him and drove away. I don't expect much from car dealerships, but the sales managers here should be avoided at all costs unless you want to risk being physically assaulted or intimidated. Instead of walking out with a new car as we'd hoped, we left debating whether we should file a police report. Terrible experience. read more

This place has the worst business ethic, do not trust what they do and always make sure you are getting what they promise you. They will do whatever it takes to sell you a car even if it's not the right thing to do.I went into trade in my 2012 Mazda 3 for a Mazda CX-4 and everything was ok. According to them of course. They agreed to pay off my car in exchange that I get a new car. Drove off with a new car no problem, no problem. Fast forward to one month I get a call from my bank saying they haven't received a payment for my 2012 Mazda. Turns out they never paid it off. Now my credit score has been affected for that non payment. When I didn't even own the car anymore. I called them numerous times a day, left voicemails and no one was giving me answers. I drove to Mazda, and they tell me oh, you were never approved. We are gonna need the car back. REALLY MAZDA!!! It took you a month to realize the bank didn't approve me. Yet you let me drive away with the car. This place needs to get it together. Very irritated, and looking into filing a law suit. They wasted my money, time and thanks to them I have bad points on my credit. read more
