Just say 'no!' to this place, go instead to Island Cafe on Hwy. 20, and you will be glad you did. Food was barely so-so. Aesthetically, the place was totally non-pleasing and seemed - as well as felt - unclean. The service was lousy. Hispanic owned, their Mexican food items (such as the chorizo) was not good and certainly not authentic, which is something you would expect from a small hole-in-the-wall place in a small town. Not a good experience at all we are first greeted by a awkward young waitress who then takes offense to a small harmless comment then to be circled by the I assume manager but not to have a order taken when we received one soda and one water (we didn't even stay long enough to drink the soda) we then left and we're chased by the manager acting as we stole the soda when they just never came back to take our order. We went to this restaurant as a family of four and it met all of our expectations and more. The waitress was timely, nice and never let our cups go empty. We live in Bothell and will definitely come back our next time we come through. We all ordered something a little different, their chicken strips were great and had were a good portion for the price. We had the fish and chips plus the Riverside burger with fries. The food was pretty good but the building furnishings could use some attention. The booths had huge rips and holes in them covered with packaging tape. For being inly 1 of 2 couples in the place the service was rather slow for getting refills, the check and change. read more

So this place is not gonna be on my list of places to go ever again. Not only did I get sick from the food but the food was disappointing. The staff was very nice and it's a clean and cozy place. We had dinner here during a busy holiday weekend. Best Reuben ever! lots of meat, cheese, mild kraut and sauce between perfectly grilled, swirled rye. Fabulous. Husband had the fish and chips and said his meal was great and not greasy. Service was friendly and attentive- absolutely no issues there. We will be back! Every time we come, we end up waiting 10+ minutes JUST to put in a drink order and then another 20+ to order our food which takes about thirty minutes to come out. They usually only have one or two servers serving twelve tables. It's sad because the food is great, but waiting for ten minutes with no drinks or menus is a bummer read more

My family and I decided to go on a adventure today. We hopped on a ferry and just went with it. We ended up in Oak Harbor and we were starving. Stopped at the first place we saw downtown. Cup of black bean and steak soup for starter. Tasty and hearty. The meat was tender. Entrees were an Apple, pecan, turkey salad and the prime rib skillet. Only one small suggestion: The flourescent lights over the customer booths: Remove two of the four tubes, so it isn't like sitting under a spotlight while eating. Tonight my family went to this restaurant for the first time for dinner and it was really good! They serve breakfast all day, which is what I got, and the servings were really big! The food is better than Denny's - the fries are crisp and fresh - but little things (like charging $1 for a side of tartar or charging for refills on pop) don't help boost the ratings. We both had sandwiches- the torta and the roast beef, which were fine, but nothing to get excited by (the torta, for those of you who like Mexican, is just a cut steak sandwich- it good, but it isn't anything like you would get in an authentic Mexican restaurant). It was definitely not 6.99 worth. 1 egg maybe 1 1/2, piece of bacon and 1 piece of toast. .99 after your first refill I think either the prices or the quantity might need some adjusting.
