$.50 pool tables, they also have darts, and a beer pong table.

Great place to have a beer and play a game of pool. The bartenders were very attentive and the prices reasonable. You might be skeptical of getting sushi at a bar but this place is totally legit. I also had a burger and fries which hand down beat out all others I've had on the island. Would definitely recommend for a night out.

The drinks between me and my two friends.

Zero stars. First drink had black flakes floating in it and it wasn't a little bit. It was an extremely dirty glass. I continued with one drink that the bartender kindly made me. The "itemized receipt" is a sticky note with your card laid out behind the bar- for everyone to see. Anyone could walk back there and take all the cards. The owner overcharged me $36. Then went on to say "a young lady like yourself isn't as wealthy as Mr. Trump" when I didn't want to leave a $25 tip. He sets his tip percentages extremely high so people who aren't paying attention end up paying more. Since I wasn't drunk or stupid, I wanted to be refunded what he overcharged me. (At this point I already slid my card. The amount didn't add up so I asked for my itemized receipt. When I totaled it, it came up $36 under what I was charged.) He began to smirk and approached me after I already walked out of the establishment. He stood in front of the door and stared at me and my friends. It was threatening, rude, and Claude is an atrocity.

I wouldn't even give this place one star. The staff sucks!! You can't even pay your tab to leave. Very pore service.

Front Street Grill - Whidbey Mussels

I brought my mom and Cousin here when they came to visit me on my long housesitting gig. There was…read moresome sort of festival going on downtown so I was a little afraid that it would be too busy for us to get a table, but we had about a 45 minute wait and while we waited, we just walked around to all the cute little stores. I got the Jamaican mussels with linguine added, and oh my gosh, I cannot even explain to you, the flavor, explosion and deliciousness. I was a little afraid when I saw Jamaican because I actually have a sensitivity to black pepper of all things which usually means I can't eat anything that has jerk in the name which is what my mind immediately went to. These mussels, however, were so delicately flavored, but also so intensely flavored with the mixture of Jamaican spices and coconut milk and with some fresh fruit like mango added in. It was absolutely phenomenal. My mom got the crabcakes entree which comes with a salad. Their Caesar dressing is definitely homemade. It made me close my eyes in ecstasy. Then my cousin got the garlic, shrimp prawns - I think that's what it was called. He said his dish was absolutely delicious as well. The view is right on the water and the staff were attentive and friendly. I will keep bringing friends and family who visit here over and over so I get to experience it again too!

Been coming to the island since 2021 and this is the first time I've had dinner at Front Street. My…read moregirlfriend's mom talks about it highly and I highly anticipated having dinner with her there. Being Friday and bring 5pm, we probably should have made reservations, but decided against it. We did get one of the last two unreserved tabes, the "reserved" tables being at the window overlooking Penn Cover. It was a beautify evening and Mt. Baker was looking glorious, as we entered a full dining room. Odd, there was no one at the bar. We sat down and the first thing I noticed was the young child behind me screaming and crying and the parents ignoring the tantrum. After about 10 minutes the child was taken outside but this wasn't how I wanted to start a nice Friday dinner. But that isn't a knock against the establishment or the service, just an observation. We ordered a round of drinks, the Stoller Family rose and a pilsner from 7 Seas Brewing, along with the calamari appetizer. Drinks came quickly and were followed a few minutes later by our calamari. This gave me time to look at the art (for sale) hanging on the wall, lots of neat wood carved pieces that lent to decor of the place. The appetizer arrived and it was a nice size order of deep fried calamari and a pink side sauce for dipping. The breading was flavorful, crispy and not too heavy, lending to the flavor of the squid. The sauce as expected kicked it up a notch with just a hint of spice. Dinner, I opted for the fish and chips, because you can never good wrong with such a simple, filling dish. The white fish was thick and flaky, coated in a simple batter that was "GBD," golden, brown, delicious! The chips were actually thin fries and not the thick cut chips I was hoping for. Overall the chips were average, but the fish was wonderful with a dash of malt vinegar on top. My girlfriend's mom got the crab cakes and a side salad. Very generous with the crab and light on unnecessary fillers. Both cakes were lightly breaded and fried, served with a simple sauce and lemon wedge. All in a nice meal with good seafood. Our server was quite attentive, especially in a crowded setting, we never felt hurried and enjoyed our time together.

I ordered the 8 oz sirloin steak and asked for it to be prepared medium rare. I declined the side-salad due to dietary restrictions. However I had no problem eating the steak fries and sourdough toast. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw a portion of horseradish included. Take care with the horseradish because it is very potent! Fortunately I enjoy very potent horseradish and happily ate it with my steak. The steak was cooked perfectly and was juicy and tasty. I was not disappointed in any way with my meal. I did regret not ordering a red wine though. If I had it to do over I would have indulged.

They also give you garlic bread with the chowder and that was also amazing. I wanted the chowder and garlic bread again the next day. The service was friendly and efficient. We got our order in quickly and the food arrived quickly. I was waiting for the check but then saw someone go up to the bar to pay. So, that's what I did. I'm still not sure if that was what I was supposed to do though. The inside is a little dark. There is a lot of water/fishing related decor. There is a small amount of booths and a small amount of stools at the bar. After we got there a lot of people came in and had to wait because there isn't a lot of seating.
