This little pub in Conway definitely has its own vibe. From the outside it looks like a biker joint, but inside it's friendly, relaxed, and full of local character. The baked oysters are the main attraction and probably the reason to come here but I wasn't in the mood during this visit. The rest of the menu is classic bar food: burgers, fries, baskets, and the usual fried comfort bites. Everything is tasty, but nothing too fancy. The one downside is the prices. For what you get, the food can feel a bit overpriced, especially if you're not ordering the oysters. Still, if you're in the area and want a laid-back spot with good drinks and a signature dish, it's worth checking out at least once.

Great French dip and sweet potato fries. Good ceasar with toast. Don't order the fried oysters - mostly breading. Nice people.

Came for the Oysters a couple weeks ago. I love Oysters on the half shell and assumed the shooters would be similar. They were HUGE! Not sure I've ever had oysters that big. They tasted fine, but I struggled to get over the overall space they occupied while trying to consume them. The cider they had on tap was good. Staff was generally polite. Overall, it was a meh for me. I'm glad we went, but it won't be on my list of must go to again next time I'm in the area. I know others in our group enjoyed their meals.

Blue Burger and tater tots

Amazing Food & Great Atmosphere! We loved Conway's Pub so much that we came two days in a row! Everything about this place is top-notch--the food, the atmosphere, and the people. The Blue Burger was massive and packed with flavor, and the Reuben? Hands down, the best I've ever had. The rye bread was spot-on, and they didn't skimp on the corned beef--it was piled high and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is Dive Bar but warm, welcoming, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The owners are incredibly kind and make sure everything is just right. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests. Highly recommend this spot if you're in the area. We'll definitely be back!

Great food and atmosphere, the new owners are great. I suggest you stop by for some great food and service.

We were so hungry after spending the entire day in traffic trying to see the tulip fields. This was the only place nearby that was still open. When we got there around 7pm, they told us food would be late since there was only one cook available. They said it would take an hour, but we did order and got some mozzarella squares in about a half hour. My friends ordered taco salads and I ordered a chicken burger with curly fries. It took about another 30 minutes after getting the appetizer to get our meals. The chicken burger was tasty, but they gave me just a small amount of the wrong fries and no one ever came back to check how our meals were until an hour later! It was fairly loud and cold outside, but I did like that you could sit outside when the weather is good. Not sure if I would go here again, but maybe if they had more workers the service would be quicker.

If you had to vote for a "Best Small Town Bar" award then your number 1 choice would be Conway Pub and Eatery. I stopped by for a quick drink and some take out food. Ordered two burgers with fries and it was delicious. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. There are well places tvs and a good menu options. You can tell this place take good care of their regulars and the local community but also friendly to those stopping through town. Can't wait to come back and actually dine in. However, if you need a take out spot, I also recommend making this one of your go to options.

Don't bother if you don't know the staff. You'll be waiting forever even if it isn't busy.

I stopped in on "Black Friday" on my way to a medical appointment…read more The Porterhouse Pub was open and had a few tables occupied, so there was no problem getting seated. I noticed a bunch of slates with beer names and spotted a cider from Terramar advertising a Strawberry Rhubarb cider and decided I wanted to try that flavor combination. It was sweet with a little tart aftertaste. For my meal I opted for the Porterhouse Cheese Curds as an appetizer and the Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich with fries for my main dish. The cheese curds were nicely battered and fried and the housemade ranch was a nice accompaniment to the cheese curds. The spicy crispy chicken sandwich was only crispy on the outside where the batter was applied! The rest of the chicken was tender and juicy. So tasty . I didn't think the sandwich was all that spicy, but that would be my fault because I eat jalapeno like candy and routinely use habanero hot sauce on my food. Even though I didn't think it was all that spicy I did enjoy the flavor and crunch of the sandwich. There was a bunch of steak fries served with my sandwich. Excellent fries, but way too many for me to eat them all. I think I probably ate only 1/4 of them!! I was very tempted to order a slice of the chocolate cheesecake with housemade fudge for dessert, but I was stuffed by my appetizer and meal.

The service was fast and friendly, and the prices were super affordable. I especially appreciated that they had one of my favorite seltzers, from Stemma Brewing, on tap! We enjoyed a couple of appetizers. The calamari was crispy and delicious, and served with a side of tasty aioli. Although not quite enough aioli, as we ran out about half way through the calamari and had to order more. (Tbh I was kinda surprised when I saw they had charged us for the "extra" aioli.) The hot artichoke dip was good, too, though the portion was pretty small for the price. I'd come back again, but maybe during happy hour as it might be a better value.

For starters, we ordered the artisan bread, a dozen oysters, and the beet salad. As someone who bakes and sells my own artisan sourdough, I was underwhelmed by the bread. I liked the touch of truffle they add to it but it needed salt. And it also needed to be on the table well before the 35 minutes we waited for it. The oysters were also not very memorable. I can't remember what one of the varieties was, but they were brinier than I care for but that's just a personal preference. The kumamotos were the TINIEST oysters I've ever seen. I've eaten my share of kumamotos and I know Japanese oysters are generally smaller and sweeter than other varieties (which is why they're my favorite) , but I'm not exaggerating when I say they were the size of quarter. I also didn't like the frozen mignonette they served as an accoutrement. It didn't seem frozen--it spread like jam. It didn't really taste like vinegar or shallot like mignonette should. It was just not very good. The beet salad was EXCELLENT. The chèvre was generous, the bitter micro greens tasted great with the beets and chèvre. It was well seasoned. We devoured it. For entrees, I had the dayboat scallops and my husband had the duck leg. The scallops were cooked perfectly and the leek risotto was very tasty. I'm not really sure what I was supposed to do with the pickled lemon on my plate. I tried to eat a small piece with the other elements and it was so overpowering that I left the rest on my plate. Now let's talk about the protein--my $52 scallop dish came with THREE scallops. Not even whole scallops as I'm pretty sure they were cut in half to cook more evenly. Three small 1/2 scallops and two cubes of pork belly. For Fifty-two dollars. My husband enjoyed the duck, but again, the portions were disappointing. $230 later, we ended up going through a drive through because we were still hungry. Unlikely we'd return after such an expensive meal left us so unsatisfied.

I came for the food -- in my case a Reuben sandwich stuffed to the gills -- and coleslaw, though obviously most people choose fries in one of the available variants. Both the sauce on the sandwich and the slaw had a kick to them - a hint of heat that added to the whole. The food was promised for 15-minutes, but took less than 10 -- I like it when promises are kept or even exceeded. The pub had three distinct seating areas: outside in the courtyard, outside under a deck (sheltered, with transparent vinyl sheeting to block the wind, and inside. This is a place where you order and pay at the bar, then find yourself a seat. It's not fancy, it's not upscale, but it's solid with good food and brews. The service was friendly and competent, but young and a touch overly enthusiastic (I'm not fond of being repeatedly called "my man" - not so much because it's excessively familiar - which it is, but because the enthusiastic repetition of the phrase at every chance is a bit forced and formulaic).

Counter ordering as you come in, quick, helpful and patient while I tried to keep my dog behaved and figure out what to eat. I landed on the prime rib dip - the absolute BEST I've ever had. The pretzel bun texture alone is to die for, slightly crisp outside with a light and soft inside. The au jus loaded with onions (love!), and choice of fries, tots, or side salad. They have so many unique options on tap, but for us non-tap drinkers they have decent options for white abd red wine and champs. Bundled outside, I had the most attentive service as a party of one plus my furry compadre. So kind, personable, genuine connection between 4 different staff members! Aside from the ridiculous prime rib dip I'll be dreaming of, the kindness of the staff is unmatched.
