I don't remember the gentleman's name who led our class but he was amazing! He offered great insight and was really knowledgeable! I enjoyed our class and we are all definitely returning to rent equipment! :)

First time at Riverside Archery!

It was our first time and we all had a great time! I had purchased 5 tickets as part of a gift for my son's 22nd bday. It was everyone's first so we were all a little bit nervous, but mostly excited! David our instructor was great! He explained all the basics parts of the bow and arrow, all the safety precautions, and assisted each of us on what we can do to perform better. He was there every step of the way! He was very encouraging! We will be back for sure!

First time shooting a bow and I'm hooked! I just finished the 1-hour beginner archery training at Riverside Archery, and it blew away my expectations. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming, patient, and knowledgeable. As someone who's never touched a bow before, I appreciated how they made everything feel approachable and safe without dumbing it down. Our instructor was fantastic, clearly passionate about archery and great at explaining form, safety, and technique in a way that actually stuck. Within minutes, I felt confident holding the bow and aiming, and by the end of the session, I was actually hitting the target (and even got a couple bullseyes!). The space was clean, organized, and had an awesome energy, everyone from beginners to experienced archers was having a great time. Whether you're looking for a new hobby, something fun to do with friends, or just want to channel your inner Hawkeye/Katniss, this is the spot. Highly recommend booking a session here, you won't regret it. I'll definitely be coming back!

Been coming and going here since 2019, and can say for sure...these guys are the real deal. Answered all my "stupid beginnier" questions with honesty and respect. The regulars I've met along the way, also elevated my experience. They even helped my girlfriend setup her new bow and new arrows as well. If you weren't sure where to get started with archery for a good price, with a reliable staff and "growing" mental environment, this place is worth the trip.

First off I wanted to preference that this is really my first true experience with an archery shop in almost five years. Where I'm currently stationed I have a sportsman's and bass pro within an hour drive and both are pretty minimal on anything with bows besides setting up RTH packages. Forgive me if I didn't get the name right but I believe Ian was the employee that was helping me out while I was there. He was working on a coaching session with another patron and noticed some odd noises from my rest within a few minutes he determined it was definitely an issue and offered to look at it even though it wasn't a popular brand or even sold/ bought there. I ended up getting a new QAD rest and he installed it and I was on target and feeling great with it. This places willingness to go above and beyond speaks volumes. This was my first time visiting California and this shop really surprised me and changed my impression of CA as a whole. Great hospitality from these guys and their willingness to help has been unmatched in the last 5-6 six years of shooting. Thank you again Ian I'll be sure to stop by if I'm in the LA area again in the future.

What a fun little hidden gem! Excellent customer service! Staff gave attentive care to our whole group. Welcoming and informative. Being our first time they walked us through the process and we signed up for the tutorial lesson. A wonderful time of learning techniques and putting them into practice. Safety is established and the instructor really adjusts to what will fit your needs. Excellent equipment and facility. Restrooms are inside and maintained. Once you finish the instruction and safety course you can begin a few rounds on your own. There were two other people during our time slot and there was plenty of room for our group. Highly recommend this establishment! Great activity for beginners to experienced archers, youth to golden. Check hours. Make a reservation prior to arrival. Time slots sell out quickly.

Great shop, great service. Scott E. got me dialed in with my new boy and I couldn't be happier. Also just had an awesome lesson with Ian, definitely gave me some great advice and some homework to continue improving my shot with confidence! 10/10 experience.

Very friendly staff! I brought in my eight-year-old for an initial lesson to learn the basics. The staff was very friendly and kind. They walked her through both the safety and mechanics of using a recurve bow. They provided encouragement and awesome advice on her form. Very helpful. So glad this is in our community. We will definitely be back!

Have been here many times with my whole family getting lessons at this point. Nothing but satisfaction with the help and guidance from all the folks there. Do recommend

Had my first lesson this last Saturday and I'm hooked! Learned a lot from the instructor (I believe his name is Daniel). He was very knowledgeable & patient with everyone. Can't wait to return!

Ask the Community - Riverside Archery

Can an archery lesson be done with a compound bow?

Yes.

What's the age limit?

Hi. I don’t know an exact age limit, but I have seen elementary-age school children using the lanes with a parent. They also train kids for the junior Olympics, so they are used to having kids there. If you are worried about bringing a VERY young… Read more

Planning to come in on Sat 8/17, about noon. Wife just got me a new Prime Logic as a gift. Already have site and rest which will be on the bow. How much does it cost to set it up and fit it, etc.?

Not sure..but the team there will get you all settle in. I am going back to get sized up and fitted myself.

Spacious and built with a second floor to handle corporate events and a backroom with a couple of archery courses, Valhalla Indoor Axe Throwing is more than just an axe throwing venue - it was also decorated for the Halloween season and had a giant Viking chair and giant semi-animatronic dog for a photo op! It goes without saying my enthusiasm for this place means if you want to learn and do axe throwing I definitely think this is the place you should go to. Chris, the owner was incredibly nice and easy to talk to and showed us the basics of axe throwing posture, safety, and etiquette, as well as what the different size axes, ninja stars, and shovels (yes you read that right) could do. Since it was my birthday, he also gifted us an additional half hour, which I really needed as I quickly found out I was pretty terrible at axe throwing. My wife, however, bested me in 9 games (probably more) as we axed our way out of some zombie themed levels. She had some really clean axe throws at those zombie heads - I now know when the zombie apocalypse comes, I married the right person.

We arrived a bit before 4 PM and found the doors closed, but we patiently waited in the parking lot. Soon, a friendly gentleman arrived and got everything set up, and we were welcomed inside. Initially, it was a little warm since they had just opened, but after about an hour, the temperature became comfortable. The atmosphere was lively and inviting--a perfect place to hang out with friends or for a fun date night! Since it was our first experience with ax throwing, we were pleasantly surprised by how much fun it was! The cost was $30 per person, which felt like a great value for the experience. Just a heads up: there are about 6-7 throwing lanes, so if you plan to visit on a date night, you might encounter a wait. I recommend going during the week or at off-peak hours to avoid any delays.

Guys didnt even take the the time to introduce themselves they just began to chew me out about how its only suppose to be 3 arrows not 4 and how I am not allowed to standalone and just enjoy my day and how i am suppose to keep moving. Keep in mind there was noone behind me or infront of me.Not sure who they were but very highly unprofessional if they work there. I own a business and I wouldnt appreciate if my employees chewing someone out instead of educating the individual. What a shame because I was becoming a regular. Their website isn't easy to navigate to see things they actually have in store that are CA compliant. To be fair, that's consistent with other gun store websites. So I walked in to ask if they had something I was looking for and I didn't see the "take a number" ticket station. It wasn't super obvious to someone who has never been there before and every person at the cover ignored me for like 10-15 minutes. I just stood there staring at them while they helped other people right next to me and ignored me. No one asked if I had a number, etc. A part of me worried that it was because I'm trans fem, but honestly I think it was just bad customer service. After idling there for ages I finally noticed the little "take a number" stand and took a ticket. Fast forward to wasting 30 minutes of my life busy for them to tell me they didn't have what I was looking for and weren't sure when they might get it
